I've spent lots here and always have a pleasant time shopping but unfortunately that was not the case this week. The employee working the "stussy" section was a complete a-hole and even mocked and rolled his eyes at a group of Asian tourist. He yelled at me for picking up a folded hooked saying "why at you grabbing this, everything is on display on the rack to the left" I completely ignored him because his tone was awful. When someone else asked if they carried certain things he kept saying look around and wouldn't help anyone. Someone even tried to pay for a hat and he said "don't ask me. Walk around you'll find a register over there" He was on his phone the entire time texting / gossiping with a co-worker about drama happening downstairs in the kitchen. Staying "I'm not dealing with her shit today" the way he interacted with paying customers was shocking. I even have voice notes, took this action since he was so repulsive. It's a shame and extremely unprofessional. Won't be returning anytime soon. If going to work makes you that miserable then quit.

We looked around the store, and she selected several pairs that she wanted to try on. For the next two hours, she received outstanding service as box after box was presented for her consideration--including items that were in her size but in such limited stock that they were no longer on the floor. (She ended up getting 10 pairs!!) While I can't say that all the Fluevog shoes are my cup of tea, there was a pair of liquid-smooth, glossy red pumps that kept calling me back throughout the visit, especially as I had brought my can't-miss-it red dress to NYC for Broadway Bares. I asked if I could try them on toward the end of the shoe-saga, and they were so powerful and sultry. However, were tight in the toe box, so my Fluevogologist (as I learned they are called), gently and precisely used a tool to provide just slightly more stretch to mold to my feet. She also gave me detailed care instructions, although she noted they were generally quite forgiving with storage and wear. Look, these shoes aren't cheap, but they also aren't "designer" in the way that they look pretty but will fall apart if you breathe on them too hard. They are hand-crafted and built to last. I've never owned shoes like this before, and while these certainly won't work for everyday footwear, it will be hard to miss them when I walk into a room! I appreciated the excellent service throughout the visit, and these shoes will now be the perfect finishing touch when I want to make a statement with an outfit!

It's been this way for years, and it's gotten worse. Occasionally someone will smile or at least not scowl, and stop talking about skincare and social plans for long enough to help a customer, but mostly it's borderline hostile from the moment they unlock the door and deign to let you into their precious store. Particularly egregious is the older woman with long red hair. Time and again, she's shockingly rude. In the immortal words of Edina Monsoon: "You only work in a shop you know. You can drop the attitude."
