Then a guy walked up and had a person cut in front of me-like brought them up to the register in front of me to make a sale--also without acknowledging my existence. Then the other sales lady came back w a different customer who had to excuse himself to step in front of me so she could check him out. Then after the guy made his sale he magically saw me, I said it was weird to let 2 people cut in front of me while I was waiting. He lied to my face saying they were already in line...ahead of me...something I would've seen considering I have both eyes and both ears. Trying to gaslight about a line is hilariously sad and par for the course for his "customer service." He then played helpless when it came to helping me. I love the attitude of "we can't help you even though those are our shoes literally from last season." He couldn't look up my purchase bc they were bought at a diff docs store in a different state. Apparently dr marten has internet issues between states. The guy pretending to help me told to contact corporate , then offered no email or phone and told me to have a nice day. I'm literally wearing their broken shoes from their store. A cobbler helped me do a quick fix for free down the street. I don't recommend this store unless you like to be ignored then brushed off by jagoffs who think they work at Chanel and not Doc fuccciing Marten.

Not only is it strategically located on same street as other great SoHo retail stores like Bonobos, Patagonia, and Saturday NYC, the store is fully stocked for an instant gratification type shopping experience. It retains the cool vibe on a smaller scale as that of the Flatiron location, and it was very convenient for someone like myself who was in the neighborhood looking for a new pair of oxfords. The staff was so helpful and actually saved me making a bad size selection by gently nudging me to measure for a fitting first. Upon realizing that the shoe I liked was not true to size for folks with wider feet, I came away with an awesome pair of brandy-colored Executive oxfords for under $200 that I can't wait to break into. Thanks to the staff for being so helpful and excited to have a footwear brand that I am a fan of to have a second store in downtown Manhattan!

The place has a very happy positive vibe, and it's kind of interesting that you can peek at a warehouse behind. This is a cute slice of the NYC fashion industry and we need more places like this! Highly recommend! Pro tip - it is around the corner on a street that is under construction so you may not see it right away but it's there and worth the search! The store itself is big inside.

Additionally, I don't find that the staff is as friendly as they used to be. Two women sit in the back, on their cell phones Until you approach them. That's not a big deal, what is a big deal, is the sign outside that says $25 mix-and-match for items or more. Inside of course that's not the case. You shop thinking this is the way it used to be. I've made $102 purchases at a time here getting four and eight items Respectively. Today, only one of my items was 25, the other was 30 (because it had no tag and she couldn't price it) the third item was 40 and the fourth item was 60. Almost feels like a bait and switch, however, they did tell me they run different promotions at different times. That may be the case. But I'm really not gonna waste my time coming in anymore.
