Came here for the coffee shop part mostly but when I heard there was only a 10-15 min wait for the store I decided to stay to check it out. The coffee shop is super small and I came here to try the viral Freddo Iced cappuccino. . Its a greek type of coffee. I was excited to try it. This was not really for me unfortunately. There were fruity notes in here that my palette just really did not like. I got to the coffee shop/store right when it opened and the store was already at capacity which is why I had to sign up at the door and wait for the text to say it was my turn. when it was my turn there was a musky like smell in the store and felt like I was at a speakeasy or a private members club. You are greeted when you first walk in with the site of a big car and the smell. This store is spacious so not really sure why they don't let a few more people in at a time but oh well. They have mostly mens clothes but I did I think see some woman's clothes and their accessories as well. The price point here is very high! I am glad I was able to check this out but I have no need to go back. read more

The hype around Aimé Leon Dore's waitlist is definitely real. On weekends, expect a long and intense line--I've waited anywhere from 1 hour up to 3 hours to get inside. Weekdays are a lot more chill, so if you can swing it, I'd recommend going then. One nice thing is they have a cafe right next door, so you can grab a coffee and hang out while you wait--or you can just explore nearby and come back later. Overall, the experience is worth it if you're into their style, but be prepared for the wait. read more

Cool concept, stylish interior, & trendy clothing. This location gets very busy at the entrance where there is a line--especially on weekends--and you'll need a reservation just to walk in. The staff comes off a bit uptight and strict about their policies with the reservations. In my opinion, the items are highly overpriced and the place feels a bit overhyped. I don't know what it is about ALD but the vibes are so weird in every location I've been to. I love their style and pieces but the people they hire to man their stores can provide such an off-putting experience some times. Never mind that there is literally always a security guard of some sort outside (and an unnecessary line) but often times I just don't feel welcome as a customer. Like the other reviewers mentioned, the people that work here are always talking to their coworkers or friends - and you literally have to try to get someone's attention to help you. it feels like a shop where you hired your friends and so they don't really feel like they're working there. I know they don't care about these reviews and people who are in to this style will shop no matter what and its really all just a "who you know" kind of vibe but if you are any regular customer, why would you want to spend your money at a location that literally does not give a crap about whether you're going to buy there or not and actively gives that energy as you go around the store. Lastly, they got the wrong item that I wanted. I wanted a blue hat and they gave me black and wrapped it in the back when they checked me out so I never saw it and I had no time to come back to exchange. Foolish of me to think that I didn't need to check given the subpar experience of this store so I blame myself honestly. read more

I'm glad I decided to give the waitlist a try, which was only about 15 minutes when I was there on a Monday afternoon. It was on my list because the interior design is stunning with a lot of dark wood, brass, and considered lighting on the moody side. I was pleasantly surprised with the products inside: well tailored and shaped clothing, some nice jewelry, accessories, and related products. This might become a standard "to visit" each time I visit the city. The customer service was OK--I can see how some people may run into issues and we were quoted $250 for an earring, but then once we got up to the counter to pay it was $750...we checked the website later and the price WAS $250, which led to some annoyance and frustration, especially since we were visiting the city and it isn't easy to return. I personally like the brand and the creative direction by Teddy Santis but was underwhelmed by the in-store experience as a first timer. Employees weren't the nicest besides the greeters out front and baristas at Cafe Leon Dore. Experience wasn't very pleasant. The greeters were welcoming but that's about it. When asking for items the employees often rolled their eyes with and/or didn't seem enthusiastic or helpful. It's almost like they didn't want to be there or didn't care. I took a photo of the 85 Chicago's and someone came by saying "don't touch the Nikes" like damn, if you don't want them touched maybe keep them in a glass case. A lot of display items were unavailable. My fiancee was interested in the white/green Yankees ALD dad hat and I wanted to get a cardholder (both on display) but unavailable for purchase. We came in on Monday October 23rd around 12:45pm and didn't have to wait in line to get in. There seemed to be decent selection considering there was a new drop on Saturday. We did notice people coming by the store with QR codes, not sure what that was about-maybe a loyalty program of some sort. But definitely felt like the workers were more helpful with the homies or the QR code customers. I guess I'd rather just buy the items online instead of having to deal with the employees. Or better yet head over to undefeated and/or Kith where the employees actually treat you with respect and care. read more

I went there this past Thurs. Was surprised to find out the est. wait time was about 2 hrs. Im assuming it was prob bec of supreme's 1st drop for their fall/winter collection. Ended up going around soho & headed back when i got the text notif. I got in & 1 of the workers greeted me & asked if i needed any help, ended up being the same guy who was at the door for the waitlist . Ended up looking around more first. Found a tee i liked but they didnt have my size. I asked about a sweatshirt they had & if they had the same print on a tee but they didnt. No big deal honestly, not like i can blame em for not making something. But the same guy who was helping me came up to me again & asked if i wanted anything to drink, added its the least he could do after ive been so patient with everything. Meant alot to me & felt valued as a customer. I was able to catch the guys name, it was Adam. Aime Leon Dore is one of the most popular streetwear brands at the time of writing this review (12/2023). They position themselves well and offer a variety of different clothing including t shirts, outerwear, and upscale menswear and accessories. I am a typical online shopper but decided to visit their flagship store after the recent remodel. I was impressed with the ambience and "vibe" of the store as you could sense the history that Teddy Santis ( founder of ALD) tried to evoke with the retail experience and space. During my visit, a lot of the items I sought were sold out so I didn't end up purchasing anything but they did seem to have decent stock of other items. Overall, the store is aesthetically pleasing and worth a stop to visit but temper expectations about product availability. read more

This is a new location. It's more vast and expensive as usual. There's nothing for women inside the store. I guess the target audience is for men. The store smelled like burning wood. I was a bit afraid that there was a slight smell by the sofa. But after I had looked around and saw the incense, I was more at ease. There are three dressing rooms to the back where the shoes are located and a car that you first see when you walk inside. Other than that, the workers on the floor didn't go around asking if you needed help. They should have as the workers are a reflection of the store. read more

When I went there first time, I was told by a homeless looking woman to wait in line. The homeless woman happened to be the greeter. I found that pretty amusing. Overall collection was little above average than Abercrombie and Fitch. I expected bit of boutique shop but just another average brand. Super Overhyped. Their quality isn't the greatest. yet their prices remain super high. The styles are cool but the quality definitely isn't worth the price. They attempt to create a hype by doing a waiting list to get in the store making people wait up to 2hrs. Just to get inside to find basically an empty store and terrible service. For as long as we waited to get in I expected a warm and inviting greeting but instead the employees were laughing and talking with each other and paid us no mind. It seems like they try to create an exclusive/luxurious appeal but it falls short of that. There have been so many times I've attempted to pop in to buy an item but i couldn't because they have a 2hr wait so I end up leaving the city. They rather create a fake hype and let a bunch of tourist who don't plan to buy anything run up the wait time and have people like myself who actually intend to spend money walk away empty. This review is strictly for the Cafe!! The store sells high end menswear and basketball players are regulars here from what I heard. I can't speak for the shopping experience because I just came for the coffee. Anyway, the shop has a small coffee shop attached to it. Just enough room to order, but not sit. Most people order from the window outside and sit at one of the cute tables just outside the store. I got a nice hot latte and sweet cookie to go. I think it was a honey based cookie? At $1 a piece, it's a nice accompaniment with coffee. Cute/trendy spot if you're passing by the area. The barista and cashier were nice and helpful in suggesting a cookie. read more

The employee of the store not only held the door open, but raised the bottom of the stroller to help me get in up the steps. I'd give it less starts if I could. Terrible customer service for online purchases. My son wanted a vest so he purchased it and sent it directly to himself with the understanding it was his gift from me for Christmas. He didn't like the fit and set up a return only to find out no refunds. I found one phone number which is connected to a "full mailbox" and no one willing to contact or listen. The vest wasn't inexpensive and now I'm out $350 at Christmas. I would NEVER recommend this store to anyone. I don't care if it's the policy or not, when dealing with Seasonal gift giving there should be a way for a cash refund to be given. Stay away unless you want them to steal your money, especially for items purchased online that can't be tried on before ordering. Today I purchased a cap and wasn't till I was home and already removed the stickers, that I noticed a bunch of make up stains. The NYC store has this deceptive practice of showcasing items on their shelves and in prominent displays that are actually sold out (in all sizes/colors). NYC and NYS consumer protection laws would probably look down on this practice which constitutes a form of bait and switch/false advertising. You go into the store, excited about buying a product on display, find out it is not available, and buy a less desirable product from the store instead. If the item is not available, don't display it or clearly indicate it's unavailable. To their credit when I complained about this the manager of the Cafe store said that the item I was interested in was going to be restocked and that he would put aside one for me. read more

Aime has quickly grown to be a leader in the contemporary menswear scene (with the occasional women's capsule collection). Their staff has always been personable when i've stopped by the brick and mortar, knowledgeable about the collection, quick to offer advice on materials and sizing, and eager to riff on fashion/music/sports in general. Patrons are welcomed to a coffee and can kick back on the couch or chairs outside while reading from a selection of publications on topics which inspire the product. The decor is perfectly suited to the aesthetic of the collections. Expect a line outside when new collections drop. When i've purchased from the webstore items are usually received within a couple days but be quick as items tend to sell out. read more

Me and my wife visited this store while on vacation last week and had an excellent experience. I had been looking forward to visiting this store for quite some time as I'm a fan of the brand. My experience in their store made me even more of a fan. The sales associates did not pressure me to buy anything and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I ended up purchasing a hat that I love and while I was checking out the associate told me of their New Balance collaboration that would be releasing next year after I mentioned that I owned a pair from one of their previous collaborations. I was able to pre-order a pair from their next collaboration thanks to his mentioning that! 10/10 read more

Would give -100 stars if possible. For a high end store, their customer service should be impeccable. IT DOESN'T EXIST. My delivery was waaay late and I wrote them an email saying if it doesn't come at the time, they better cancel it now because I will leave the state and won't be able to receive it. They finally responded after 20 years saying it will arrive on time. Of course it DIDN'T. I sent them multiple emails and finally the shipping company returned the item. I sent them an email again, no apology, no nothing for this stress they caused. Asked them for a refund because clearly I can't receive an order anymore and my voucher is USELESS. No response again. Pre-orderd items and was sent a whole different order. My order had 6 items and this one had 1. Did the person totally neglect the packing slip/invoice on the order before taping the box up? Contacted customer support and obviously many of the items on the order are no longer available. It also took 5 days to get a reply. I tried asking for a discount code on my next order for this mishap but they refused. They need to take accountability for their issues and have better trained staff who know how to properly pack and ship orders. read more
