He's fair with his pricing. We've never had issues. We highly recommend using him. Note: As far as the bad reviews. I'll just say this ... We have never had those experiences and it's sometimes hard to find employees with the same work ethic and care that you have. This company was scheduled by our rental agency and showed up unannounced to "fix" our roof. Two days of pounding above our heads while working and we have a few holes in our ceiling. The workers never stepped foot in our apartment, so the holes in the ceiling were just in random spots showing exposed wiring and could have been anywhere! No clue what they charge, but spend a few extra bucks to avoid this mess. read more

Navarro Roofing installed the roof on a house we recently purchased. After a small rain shortly after closing we noticed a small water leak at what appeared to be a seam in the gutter. After contacting the builder it turns out that a metal fabricator installed all the gutters and that firm is no longer in business. I called John for help and he was more than happy to meet me at the house and climb on the roof. No small feat given the access cover to the roof weighs about 100 pounds. The roof his folks installed looked great and it appeared the caulking on one of the seams needed to be reapplied. While this was a small job for his company his folks were great to work with. In addition, he noticed that the roof hatch was not stainless metal and was beginning to corrode, his folks cleaned, primered and applied rustoleum to seal the hatch. Navarro recently have been doing sections of an apartment complex I live at in OC. They've been unprofessional, dangerous and gross. First day I found that one of them took a pee in the corner of my car port. They must've done this because they didn't know they had access to the pool bathroom yet. Now my car port has a disgusting dry pee stain on the asphalt. Because of that I started parking my car so close to the wall that I had to climb out the passenger side. This was to prevent them from having space to get back in that corner again. Each day I'd come back to see if they peed again or did anything else, because I didn't trust them. I suddenly found that a beach chair I keep in the car port was moved to an area I never put it, and a neighbor's beach chair was in my area. I realized they had been taking our chairs to use to sit on during their breaks. So, I had to then bring in my chair so they couldn't use it. One day I found a open rack of nails sitting in the grass where kids play. They left it there for the night, as their day was finished. Also, they would leave about 3'-4' of a ladder hanging over a walkway all day and night. It felt precarious and dangerous. Another day around 11:30AM one of the workers was tossing down old roofing tiles maybe 3' from the front door of one of the tenants. I watched multiple pieces being tossed from a second story window and shatter all over the concrete, and break into a bunch of pieces into the grass. We have tons of children in the area and they play here all the time, sometime barefoot. For a couple weeks I've been picking up shards from the grass when I found them. I called the manager to report this. A neighbor of mine told me he's watched them multiple times stare at women as they walk by. And no matter who you are, they give long, glaring and rude looks when you drive or walk by. I can't tell you how many old, rusty nails have been left behind, along with huge splinters of wood, broken tile pieces and other trash and debris. I can't imagine there is not a better and more professional company that can service the SoCal area. I'd never recommend Navarro Roofing for any project. read more

They had to come out more than once to fix leaking issues since our round of rains at the beginning of the year. From reading an other reviews sounds like it's common. Unbelievable.....One Month & because this idiots removed the satellite dishes (ours, lucky us!), a few of us are still without satellite service. Next truthful review, WinHome Services Property Management for not doing their research hiring this lousy roofing contractor and for turning their nose the other way and not taking full responsibility for this issue, nor attempting to resolve it but rather continue to take the rents in full. read more

Shoddy & over-priced. Navarro did some work for our HOA. The workers were slow as molasses, were not competent at the work they carried out (replacing some decking) and did a very shoddy job. The HOA President had to act as foreman, as the owner only showed up when a complaint was made, and then just shrugged his shoulders. The job was a pure rip-off. read more

When ya get old, it's patch, patch, patch.....until you reach a point where you can patch no more. And then it's all over, Rover. And that is what happened to my roof. It met its demise even before the estimated lifespan was up. I had leaks last winter, no fun! So this was the year my Homeowner's Association voted to do a re-roof. They researched like crazy to find the best people to do the job, at a fair price. Roof jobs are tricky, I learned from past experience. Bids are all over the place, with a huge range (tens of thousands) between high & low, and it's very confusing. My HOA interviewed a whole bunch of contractors, I was surprised to learn how many. And the diligence paid off. We got such an impressive roofing company that we can't say enough good stuff about Mr. Navarro and the quality of work his company provides. Honest work, at a very competitive price. I live in an attached townhouse with more than one roof level. There are peaks and dips and valleys galore, and it's a difficult roofing sitch to tackle, so I've been told. I can see one roof level out my loft windows, which gave me the opportunity to watch the operation from beginning to end. Actually, it's not yet over. The old roof was torn off, bad wood was replaced, the paper is on, and the shingles will be added soon. The contractor did discover a gap somewhere along the roofline, an open area, a flaw that was part of the original construction that might have allowed water intrusion......so we're lucky that will be corrected. John Navarro, the owner of Navarro Roofing, has been here on the job supervising every step. Most impressive. The crew is on time (early) every day, and they are friendly & professional. After each day's work, the site gets cleaned up....with blowers and brooms and a metal-combing device. At the end of every day, the premises are all clean and free of fallen nails. Very cool. And the crew has been careful to cover, with thick plastic, people's potted plants, balconies, patio furniture, and anything else that might need protection. This kind of careful attention is much appreciated by the residents. We were half scared to death, not knowing what to expect, anticipating an experience akin to a quake that lasted a week.....haha..... Didn't happen. Years ago in IL my hubby and his brothers and a few buddies tore the roof off our house. Three layers of old shingles crashed down onto my flower gardens while I frantically grabbed falling pictures. My sister-in-law and I were nearly screaming as we ran around inside the house trying to save my vintage glassware that rattled off the edges of shelves. The walls were shaking, haha......and my ex was in the doghouse..... Now I have experienced a professional roofing contractor, a far cry from the shake, rattle & roll days of old. As different as night and day. I didn't even need to take down all my pictures off the walls this time around. Now I know. This recent re-roof has been painless, not frightening......I must admit it's been interesting and even kinda fun. I have complete confidence that my roof is secure and I will have no problems this winter. Let it pour, baby! Haha, my neighbors and I are no less than thrilled with Navarro Roofing. How did things start...I contacted the company and an estimate was done. They started shortly after and did a fantastic job. The estimate was for 10,000 and at the end, it came to be 15,000. I was told they would keep the inside of my garage clean however that was not done. When the staff left each night, the place was spotless. Not a nail on the ground. The job was to take about 4 days however it was longer. I know I paid extra for this roof as other companies did give me a lower quote however the lower quote is not always the best. I spoke to John a number of times. I sure wish he would had come over to my home so I could had met him. I thought he would like to see what type of job his staff is doing. I was very pleased with the quality of the roof. I had it inspected upon completion by the City of Downey. It was done well. I must say, I would recommend this company. I'm a single woman that just purchased an end unit townhome. I noticed myself, that I had a shingle missing. I called several roofers and this gentleman is the only one that got back to me. He came out the very same day that I called him just to check it out. He said he'd be out in a few days to come repair it. He came out a day early. Went up on the roof fixed my shingle and address some other situations up there for me. And it was a very very fair price. Not only is this man knowledgeable but he's prompt he's responsible and he's not a rip-off. It's hard to find good Business people these days and honest contractors. Don't bother calling these guys. They came out and gave me an estimate on a new roof. City didn't approve it, but I needed small sun-room roofed. They gave me an estimate. I tried to get a schedule and work out the details for 3 weeks with no response! Do you really want to trust your roof AND your money to a company that ignores you??? Good luck getting them to come out for any warranty work after the job is done and your check is already cashed. HA! read more

I had an entryway added to my home in Eagle Rock. I contacted a few roofing companies to get quotes. Only a couple ever bothered to contact me back. Navarro roofing called back the same day. They gave me a competitive quote and considering the great communication I had with them from the start, it was an easy decision to contract them. Navarro roofing came out to the house a few days later and finished all the work in one day. They laft the place so clean, I wouldn't have known they were there. Are you kidding me! I live nearby to one of their roof jobs and tomorrow will be three weeks. From the beginning, with tearing off the old roof it has been a nightmare. Once the shingles were done flying, a guy with a leaf blower decided to blow twenty years plus of dirt onto the side of my house, in my attic vents, in my driveway, and all over my truck. No consideration for the neighbors what so ever. With a very loud radio every day, they finish the day with blowing red clay from the cut tiles onto my house and driveway. Not on my truck, I have to park it in the street. Wait, I can' t park in my driveway because they do not have consideration for the neighbors. I will let all my family, friends, and neighbors know this is one roofing company NOT to use. A lot of roof jobs have been done by word of mouth! The never ending job.
