Most concerning, after they came for the consultation and took measurements, I emailed them links to the items I planned to purchase to ask if they were okay. They replied, "Everything looks good." so I purchased them. The bathtub did fit and was put in place, but the enclosure panels did not. They then asked for full payment with no intention of installing the enclosure panels, which is why we requested a reduction in price. 2) They left without telling us and left BOTH DOORS of my garage open. We found our cat wandering the streets, thankfully not lost or dead, and no one broke in before we discovered the open doors. I gave them that feedback, and their reply was, "We didn't know you had a cat." I can only conclude based on their response that if you do not have pets, they think it is okay to leave your home open to the public. You get what you pay for. If you're willing to compromise your safety for a job done by people who clearly have zero respect for you, your safety, and your home, these are your guys.

Jose answered and set me up with Rolando. Rolando came on Thursday. He discovered that the Drain Pipe going to the main line was completely clogged. This pipe was underneath the house at the crawlspace. He also discovered that shower was leaking from the top level to the crawlspace. He stated that the grout is cracked causing the water to seep in and out. He quoted me $1700 to fix everything. Meaning changing and replacing the clogged shower drain pipe to the main pipe. Regrouting the shower tiles. I agreed, set up the 2nd schedule for Friday 03.06.2026. Rolando took about 4 to 5 hours to fix everything. He was a young man with experience. Changed drain pipe and regrouted! I dont know much about piping. I am ignorant when it comes to pricing. It just had to get done. I had no time for 2nd quotes. Finger crossed I wasn't overcharged lol. Overall, I would call back for piping service. This is the 2nd time I called this company. First time was my kitchen sink that was clogged. The good thing is I have 90 days of warranty from the time of fix. I really dont know if I still have problems to call back the plumber. The only way to really find out is to crawl underneath the house. Overall, pleased with uncertainty. So far so good.

Before moving forward, I asked if he was licensed and if he could work with my home warranty company and follow their procedures. He confirmed both. Because the work took place on a Sunday, I wasn't able to obtain pre-approval from the warranty company, which led to some complications. I paid by personal check and received a handwritten receipt under the name "SoCal Plumbing." When I submitted it, the warranty company indicated that the license associated with that name was expired and not tied to a plumbing business. I followed up with Carlos, and he provided a different license under the name "G Del Plumbing and Rooter," which was valid. Initially, he and his team were helpful in trying to provide the necessary documentation, although the process took time due to back-and-forth with the warranty company. The warranty company eventually agreed to partially reimburse the cost but required a final invoice showing both the diagnosis and proof of payment. The invoices I received continued to show a balance due, and as the 30-day submission deadline approached, I attempted to follow up multiple times by phone and text but did not receive a response. As a result, I may not be able to complete my claim and get partially reimbursed for this emergency. On the day of the repair, I also asked about installing a water pressure valve and was told there would be a follow-up, but I did not hear back. Overall, the repair work was completed, the toilet was reinstalled as promised, and the team was punctual. I was quoted a range for the price and of course the actual amount was the highest price in that range. However, communication and documentation could have been more consistent, especially given the warranty requirements. My advice is to not pay in full if there are outstanding items that they need to do.

Every time I have called they have sent a different person and I don't think I've ever actually met the owner "Sam". The plumbers that they did send seemed knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, recently I had to call to request that they return to look at an issue that they had worked on 3 months prior. The guy on the phone told me that he would call back in 20 minutes. I never received that callback so I tried them again a few days later and left a voicemail. Still no callback. My only conclusion is that they are not really willing or interested in standing by their work or maintaining good customer relationships. Too bad, I am sure that there are plenty of other plumbers in the South Bay that are.

It looks like a high quality unit; better than what you get from Home Depot or Lowe's. And it has an 8 year warranty. The total cost for the unit, plus install and haul away was $1850. I'm happy with the price. The installation included brand new gas valve, new water/gas supply connectors, new copper tubing, and new vent tubing. Leo and Omar were professional, friendly, and answered all my questions. They did the job quickly. We are so glad to have hot water again. I will be going to Sam Rooter for future plumbing needs.
