We are now stuck trying to find a new roofer, one that will actually stick to their word and committment. I contacted Mark in June 2023 for roof maintenance (clearing off debris), drain clean out, and sealing around two skylights. The work was done as promised and for a reasonable rate. In February 2024, I had three small leaks (one from skylight) and two leaking through light fixtures. I notified Mark on February 20th and was placed on his list for repair. I didn't hear back from Mark and called on April 26, 2024. He said somehow I wasn't on his lilst but he was adding me back on. He also said it should be a couple months. I didn't hear back from Mark and called again on June 26th. He called me in early July and said that he would get to my roof by the end of the month. It is now September 9th and I'm fairly certain that Mark will not be getting back to me or taking care of my roof. This is very frustrating because his service started out so well. I just don't know why he hasn't gotten back to me :( read more

I called Westfall roofing because I'd had some leaks and needed minor repairs. Mark Westfall came out, showed me the problem areas and told me that his crew could certainly do the job. He also showed me how to fix it myself if I wanted. I thought it was a great visit: he showed up on time, did what he said he would do, seemed very knowledgeable, was polite, and gave me options that I could understand without pushing for a sale. I had a leaky roof one winter 9 years ago and was new to the area, so I called some contractors and asked who they would recommend. Mark Westfall Roofing was the Roofing company that came to us very highly recommended. I called him (Mark) at that time and explained the seriousness of the leak and they were able to fit me into their schedule and fix my leaky roof right away. I was so thankful they could and would do that for me! This time when we called them we wanted to replace our entire roof since some other leaks had sprung up and our roof was 60 years old! I interviewed 3 contractors and decided to go with Mark Westfall again since we were so happy with our previous experience. He was timely in getting the bid back to us, and his bid was actually a little lower than the other bids we received. I called him with some questions and he sent Ronnie his foreman out to answer them and explain the process to us. He also asked me to tell him and show him exactly what I wanted the roof to look like. I'm happy to report they were able to accomplish that look.. Ronnie and his crew showed up on time everyday, (7-4) and finished in 2 weeks. They cleaned and swept up everyday so thoroughly you wouldn't even know we had work going on at our house! We've used Westfall Roofing 4 times over the span of 18 years and at 2 houses in Manhattan Beach--they've done excellent work each time. Their prices are very reasonable. They do a great job communicating and show up when they say they will. We recently tented our house for termites and the fumigation company damaged a good portion of our tiled roof (they don't guarantee against damage to tiled roofs). Thankfully, Westfall saved the day and replaced all our broken tiles. They were efficient, professional, timely and friendly! The guys were very respectful walking through my house--they took off their shoes to carry heavy materials up top--to access our roof. To keep it short and to the point, Mark Westfall Roofing is unprofessional and misleading. Dont waste your time getting an estimate. According to Mark they are just to busy to deal with simple residential roof repair. MWR came to my residence three times to fix a leaking skylight. I even purchased a new skylight on their recommendation. I spent 850 on Roof repair which never stopped the leak. When I reached out to them to fix the issue I was quoted 1200 in addition to the 850 I had already paid. And of course I got a lecture of how busy they are and wouldn't be able to get to it for a few weeks. Unfortunately I will take my business else where and not recommend them to friends and family. The two star rating is for Ronnie and his crew. They actually seem pretty cool and genuine. Bottom line, I had a leak and after two visits and several weeks of rain, it was never fixed. Finally another roofer came and fixed the leak in 20min with a new piece of metal flashing. Dont waste your time with Westfall. read more

I've been struggling with a nagging "wet spot" near a skylight for a few years that has been getting worse and worse. Actually I've had two other companies come "repair" the problem, but the leak always came back worse than before. So, quite a few months ago, when it looked like we would have a dry spell for a while, at the suggestion of a friend, I called Westfall Roofing. They came out when they said they would for the inspection. They responded with a written estimate in a couple of days. So, I called to schedule the repair and some other "maintenance" work we'd talked about. They arrived on time, finished on time, invited me to inspect the work and were very polite, clean and professional. This review will take place in phases. My roofing issue is quirky: I have an old mid-century style house that had concrete M-tiles put on it to replace the original shake roof. The problem is that the previous owners also put on "rake tiles" along the ridgelines (note: rake tiles are the L-shaped tiles along the edges). Long story short, you DON"T put rake tiles on mid-century style homes. IMHO it looks dumb. I want them removed without putting a new roof on...but naturally not creating new areas along the edge for water leaks. 1) As of this first review...I give it 5-stars because I requested a quote on Yelp and within an hour or so got a quick response back with contact info. I called them up and immediately got to talk with Mark about my issue and plans to set up a time next week for them to come out and take a look (and hopefully provide a quote). I have called several roofing companies already that didn't want to bother with my job...and I know roofers are busy considering all the rains, including Mark's company...but these guys still took the time to listen and want to work with me despite my smallish job. read more

We had our roof replace by Westfall roofing 6-8 years ago. Our roof is very steep. They did a good job but the tarps they put up to protect the stucco were filthy and we had to have the stucco re-painted. They paid half that cost. Then after the roof was approximately 3 years old 2 shingles in completely separate areas fell off the roof. These are the cement type shingles and the roof was over $25,000. I called The owner, Mark, as the roof was guaranteed for 50 years. I asked him to replace the two shingles (we had extras ) as he had told us not to let anyone walk on the roof due to the material of the shingles. It took him a week or two to come out and see where the shingles had come out. He then told me he would have a crew come out and replace them. I called every few months for a year and a half-always getting the excuse that when he had a crew in our neighborhood he would do it. It is now 3 years later and we sold our house several months ago. Another roofer came and did the repair. I felt from the beginning a Mark Westfall had no intention of fixing my roof and each time he became a little more rude. Not impressed-no customer service. read more
