We stayed here for 4days last weekend. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment is quite dated but will say it was roomy, clean and comfortable. We had an issue with heat coming on one cooler night but the guy came right away and fixed it . Off-street designated Peking spot was nice. We enjoyed sitting on the porch having a drink and people watching. It is located one block from the beach and located in the middle of everything which was awesome. The Manager was awesome; very pleasant, professional and welcoming. Although quite dated apartment would definitely stay again when in the area. read more

I've visited and stayed at Hampton beach the past 4 years and will proudly say that my stay at the Nautical Motel was my best stay. I never have the expectation for my place of stay to be fully updated but the room I stood in was great. Close walking distance to the beach and right across from Wally's which wasn't a bad experience while having an 11 month old with us at the motel. Anytime my wife and I asked the owner for something, it was done! The owner was respectful, filled with positive energy and approachable. The family and I planned on giving Hampton beach a break next year but will be booking with Nautical Motels moving forward. read more

NOT family friendly. There is a very loud biker bar right across the street with very loud bikes coming / going plus live music being blasted. On top of it, the rooms are not clean. Hair in shower and in bed. Very outdated. Housekeeping never came; went to the front to ask about it and was given new sheets and a broom. we left a night early And didn't even try to seek a refund. For the cost of this stay, I'd of expected way better. read more

The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I booked our room 6 months prior to our stay and accidently booked it for the wrong night. They were more than willing to switch my reservation at the last minute for no cost. They could easily have charged me for an extra night, but instead gave us a newly renovated room and allowed us to check in early. Like most hotels in Hampton Beach, its a little old and dated, but the hotel is clean, in a perfect location and the staff is friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back read more

The owner was super nice and we had planned on booking a cottage for next year! But wow not anymore we never slept even one wink either night!!!! What a nightmare. First day and night constant obnoxious beeping sound took a full day and night of complaining and then checking to figure out what it was. So that noise goes away then comes night two! I don't usually review when I've had a bad experience but this place takes the cake. If I could rate zero stars I would. Here goes: We were in Hampton recently to see a concert midweek, it was also my birthday. We decided last minute to book another day so we'd have some more time at the beach as we never really get time off together. (This was our 1st vacation in 3 years.) Upon checking in, the man in the office said this wouldn't be an issue and that we had the same room. Well it was an issue....more on that later. Running water was also an issue, apparently they don't think it's a service they need to provide to guests. Had a great day at the beach and came back to the room to shower and head out for a late lunch. No running water. None. My boyfriend went down to the office (different employee now) and the woman was extremely rude to him. Didn't offer up another room, or apologize, or say when it would be back on. We're pretty laid back people and said screw it we'll go out anyway. Came back after lunch to find almost all of our things gone from the room, and some of the items were in the caddy of one of the 3 cleaners....who refused to leave and were laughing that we were so upset, and not speaking English or explaining why they had done what they'd done. We go down to the office to sort everything out. (Again were pretty laid back and didn't go in guns a blazing or anything like that.) Mind you this is way past checkout time so again, wth is going on? The woman was yelling and completely unprofessional and threatened to call the police to which I said please call and get them down here so I could recover my stolen property. That shut her right up. I explained that it was my birthday and this was a pretty unreasonable situation. No discount, no apology, still no running water but they let us stay. The room is what you pay for at rock bottom high season pricing. Disgusting. The staff here is insane. Stay away! read more

There is one good thing about this hotel- Igor. He is helpful, personable, if he wasn't there, there would be zero positives to talk about. The hotel is dirty, out dated, with many fixes needed to all aspects of the hotel. Some improvements needed are in mattresses and beds that are nothing more than frames and rock hard mattresses. The little nightstand next to the bed is worn with cigarette burns. The dresser that came from a garage sale and scotch tape holding curtain and shower rods together. There is broken cabinets, an air conditioner with a cord draped over the kitchen sink. The bathroom is absolutely disgusting; peeling flooring, a plastic patch in the shower that is brown from dirt. There is a bathroom sink outside of the bathroom that a normal sized person has difficulty using due to the size of the side walls and the way you need to squeeze in. Additionally the outside decks are a smoking area for the guests, so prepare for a cloud of smoke as you exit. If you expect a good nights sleep, you won't get it. Wally's a biker bar is right across the street. So get ready for Loud Harley's screaming out if there between 1&2am music all night blasting across the street. There needs to be some serious work done in this hotel in the off season to be upgraded to its price. read more

Wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, not a wise decision! Although it was relatively clean and Igor (the gentleman at the front desk) was lovely, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Stayed there this past week. Never again! The outside looks so nice and clean, very deceiving to what the rooms look like. We stayed in the one of the deluxe queen bed rooms. Our first room was so run down with broken furniture and old beds. The worst part was when we pulled back the sheets on one of the beds and found pee stains on the bed sheet liner. So disgusting!! They moved us to another room immediately and apologized. But the 2nd room although not as run down, smelled like body oder and urine. The positive to this poor review is that the staff was very friendly and helpful. This motel is located in a great place and if they renovated, modernized, throw out the broken old furniture, and deep cleaned, This place could be a gold mine fir its location. read more

Nautical beach properties in Hampton is run by a great crew. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a beachy feel meaning it's not a Ritz but it's clean and comfortable. I happened to be able to get an early check in and could smell the bleach that was used to disinfect everything. The parking was free for my quad cab truck, most only allow compact vehicles. Best of all is the location. It's in the center of everything. The beach is a block away. There are several bars and restaurants on the same block. The casino is a block and a half. I am having a great time and am already looking forward to the next time I come to Hampton. read more

Room was a bit outdated and not as advertised on the booking site. I dont know whether that's on the booking site or the motel? But all in all it was sufficient. The staff was extremely nice and allowed us to check in 3 hours early, when we showed up early, expecting to check in at noon. The one glaring complaint I had about this place is its location. It's directly across the street from Wally's biker bar and you will hear loud, rumbling motor cycles morning, noon, and night. But again, I cannot understate how friendly and helpful the staff was. We would probably come back again, but im interested to see some of their other properties. read more

Rented a 17 M St. in August 2015. Noticed about a half dozen bites on my left arm after first night, but I didn't realize what they were. By second night I was suspicious and found bed bugs after third night in one second floor bedroom. Reported immediately to management and was told room would be quarantined, pest control would be notified and owner would be sent over. A hotel room was provided since that bedroom could no longer be used. I left the office with impression that all of these things would happen that day. Spent day on first floor of the house washing all items that were in the room. By evening - no one came to quarantine the room, no owner, no pest control - but I did find another bedbug walking on couch on first floor. Went straight to office and reported second sighting and vacated house. Housekeeping came and investigated and found bugs under every bed. Was informed next day (only after asking) that pest control was not available until weekend (4 days later) - not sure if this is acceptable in pest control industry. Did not speak to owner until 3 days later when I met him in the office - he never came to me. I was reminded over and over by staff and (eventually) owner that "even 5 star hotels" get bed bugs. Yes, that is true, and my issue is not with the fact that bed bugs were present, rather with the casual attitude of the owner /management when I told them bed bugs were present. Housekeeping did assist as much as possible. Management/owner didn't appear to understand how traumatic situation was for their guest. When I questioned what would be done I was brushed off like it wasn't my concern. I was actually told I should go back in the house and enjoy nice dinners - wasn't going to happen. This is not what was depicted or expected from the $$$ price we paid. Bedrooms are outdated and unclean with paint peeling off the walls. The bedding is dirty and stained and pillows are without pillow cases. The floor was unswept and we all had to wear shoes in the house during our stay to avoid black feet. The fridge did not work and when we called to ask someone to help fix the problem they said there was no problem even though the fridge was 70 degrees. In the front room there is a shower head and bath tiles as if that used to be a bathroom that they decided to put a bed in front of. One of the doors does not lock from the outside and the door has to be lifted up to lock at all. Although the location is great and we are so close to the beach and boardwalk, this is not what we expected from the pictures posted on their website or the description of the house. The staff is not helpful nor friendly. The fridge not working was mansplained to us when it was very obvious that it was not working. The cleaning staff was constantly on their phones and when we arrived nothing was cleaned and we had to call the owner to send them again. This is not what we were expecting at all from the price you see the nice reviews but here is mine first hand. This is not a place I would EVER stay at again. DO NOT COME HERE read more

Our corporation set four of us up for a week in this place, for working locally. The pictures online show a great place, this is not it!! We spent one night. There was trash under beds, very old unused tampons under sink for bathroom, bathroom was very run down and very very small. fridge Fruit drawer cover was cracked so we couldn't put anything on top of it. and there was an inch of pinkish liquid inside the drawer. The floors were not swept, sand everywhere, and no we had not yet made it to the beach. the kitchen floor was different from the bed room area floor, No carpeting at all. laminate flooring, mismatched torn and damaged in kitchen and bathroom, peeling paint on ceilings and walls throughout. No night stand, used a chair, one of the two kitchen chairs was broken and wobbly. The beds were hard. not even close to comfortable or acceptable. The shelf for the closet was being used to hold the TV, on top of the fridge. The bedspreads were torn and placed going wrong direction on the beds. The dead bolts didnt lock right or at all, security is a risky choice because the doors will pop open if you "Hip" it. and then there is the drug users and dealers coming and going at all hours, we saw people using drugs openly.....And then there is the biker bar right across the street, which left the music on all night after closing, we saw the bar owner arrive at 4 am to shut off the music! I know thats not on this motel, but be forewarned, this neighborhood does not sleep, a block away is a lot better! read more

My stay at this hotel left me feeling very uncomfortable. The place smelled like pee, had damaged tiles on the bathroom floor, and a very dirty and ripped quilt on the full size bed. There was a lot of damage to the walls and had a lot of cheap repair and poorly built and decorated walls/floors/cabinets. The staff was kind and attentive, but apartment was terrible. read more

Very old furniture! The place is not cleaned when arrived, but what was worse is how you are treated when you a "guest" at their property! They harass and watch you the entire time you are at the apartment. They told our company to leave during the day hours (they were outside). They lied about the checkout time. Stay away! We rented one of their cottages. The furniture looked like it had been acquired by riding around and looking for furniture in people's front yard with a "FREE" sign on it. The living room couch and chairs were all covered with stains. There were bare nails sticking out of the walls. The screens in the windows were ripped and torn and the mini-blinds were falling apart. There was a dead bug in the bathroom. We had no towels in the bathroom. There was an old smoke detector in one bedroom with no battery. It was absolutely DISGUSTING! You have been warned! read more

We just stayed 2 nights at Nautical and it was a Great Stay! The owners were very pleasant and helpful with anything we needed. We had friends staying at the cottage across the street and our large group were able to hang out on their porch without being bothered. The rooms are old but very clean. The only thing I would change is the deep cleaning detergent they use. It has a horrible smell to it. Other than that we were very happy and would stay at Nautical again! read more

Stayed here for two nights recently. This motel was only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. It was really in a great location. As far as the motel itself, it could have been better. I thought the room was pretty good- it had a big king size bed, full sized fridge, microwave, and flat screened TV. But everything seemed really old- chipping paint, carpets that turned your feet black, and a shower that only partially worked. I enjoyed sitting outside the room on the chairs that were on the narrow deck. It was fun to watch the biker bar across the street close at 1AM (free show). All in all, it was fine to rest your head at night... but if your looking for a clean room that doesn't smell of smoke, go elsewhere. read more

We stayed here for three nights. We were in one of the motel rooms. The room was clean, had new flooring and was freshly painted. There was plenty of hot water. The staff was very pleasant and helpful with anything we needed. They actually treated us like visiting family. In fact one day after a long day on the beach someone even carried our cooler up to the room for us. We had friends staying in one of the cottages and it was also very clean and roomy. read more

Staying at this hotel currently and the shower was broken and the staff knew about it and still let us check in. We couldn't take a shower this morning because the tub was completely filled with water and wouldn't drain. The staff told me that it would be fixed and supposedly has been but basically told me that I was here during the busiest weekend of the year and I had to deal with it. I am beyond pissed off at the customer service and I wouldn't even give them any stars or recommend. This place is a complete shithole. The beds are awful with the springs coming right through. Here it is the good the bad the ugly: I read reviews and was really nervous about staying here. But as is the usual people aren't 100% honest. So it's an older motel, there is need for updating however it was clean. The linen smelled good. The TV was older but worked just fine. There is a working refrigerator microwave and coffee pot in each room. One of the reviews I read said there was no filters, they obviously didn't look in the cupboard because there is a box of them in cupboard. The beds are comfy, the shower is older so you had to turn the handle just right to get the water to come out the shower head. To far and it was coming out the bath again, but that's like common sense. THERE WERE NO I REPEAT NO BEDBUGS IN THE MOTEL. I had already dealt with that hell in an old apartment I checked.... CAREFULLY. Check for yourself if you don't believe me. Bring an extra pillow, or ask when you get there. There are old burn holes in the floor from when they were smoking rooms but it's not dirty. Sitting on the porch was nice. The staff was awesome. Loved them extremely friendly and working quite hard to keep everyone happy. They were my first encounter and started the visit off right. They knew which specials were happening on which days at the restaurant/biker bar across the street. I will stay here again for sure. The price is right. Do not go in expecting the Ritz it's good though and everything is walking distance. I felt like all that worked there really wanted their guests happy that's why it's a 4 it's not a 5 because there are flaws but they aren't as excessive as some reviewers would like you to believe. read more

WORSE I opened the draw with silverware and found mice droppings. Like WTF I call to immediately say we will not be paying for this place and the woman was so rude. This placed should be condemned! Absolutely disgusting, ceiling in shower was all black mold, kitchen area was all falling apart, cupboard all nailed together, toilet was loose, carpet and tile was so dirty, I made sure I kept shoes on. Window in kitchenette was so dirty, I'm sure it hadn't been cleaned in years. The closet had an old TV in it, tvs date back to the early 90s and are terrible. This place smelled of cigarette smoke and pot.Walls are very thin, guy that was a resident the next room kept his TV turned on all night and we could here it throughout the night. Their website is deceiving, the rooms don't look bad on line. I would rather sleep in my car than ever stay in this dump again! Oh, and NO real heat. Small space heaters to heat the room. We rented one of the cottages (our 2nd time through Nautical) and it was nasty. I don't think they have EVER washed the kitchen floor since I was there 5 years ago. There was plaster falling off the walls in the bathroom. I wouldn't take a shower without my water shoes on. You would think for $2000 a week that the place would at least be clean. Room 16D - one bedroom apartment - Cost $179/night plus NH taxes - Beyond the unpleasant visual appearance of the room (horrible decor, chipped paint), there was an extremely strong musty smell that was unable to be masked by the air freshener spray we tried using all weekend. We were unable to keep our personal belongings in the room for fear the scent would transfer onto our clothing. Kitchen floor was peeling up. There was mildew along bottom of the shower curtain, shower floor was dirty, a large crack in the bathroom sink and the water sprayed everywhwere when running it. Bathroom door did not shut, bathroom light was rusted and missing bulbs, drain flies constantly present in the room, and an extremely hard mattress that was comparable to sleeping on the floor. Black stains (possibly mildew) covered the mattress of the pull-out couch, Oven was dirty. Kitchen counter backsplash was dirty. We chose not to use the kitchen facilities due to the smell and uncleanliness. We chose to stay the full weekend since there were no other hotel vacanies in the area due to the festival going on. Before our departure on Sunday, we looked into the cabinet under the kitchen counter and found the WHOLE BOTTOM PORTION COVERED IN MOLD BLACK MOLD. See pics. My family and I rented out one of the cottages for a week but 3 days in, we discovered we had bed bugs in one of the beds. We informed the hotel staff of this issue and they said they would send someone over to assess the situation. Well no one ever came and then later that night we found a bed bug in our living room and then found evidence of them in all 4 beds. We gathered our stuff and moved out of there immediately, they provided us with hotels to stay in and said a pest guy wouldn't be coming to handle the infestation until Saturday which FOUR DAYS LATER. The owner didn't even directly speak to us or apologize. They also told us they weren't going to rent it to the next people and rip out the carpets, etc. Well my family was staying until Monday across the street in a different cottage and they never saw a pest guy come on Saturday and then they saw new people moving in. They didn't have pest control come or rip any carpets off. All they did was seal the mattresses!!! The new renters were completely unaware! I would never rent from this owner again. He is absolutely sick. read more
