This place is soooo good. I pass here all the time and one day I just decided to go in. It's a mini mart with a grill that makes amazing sandwiches and I personally love a good CHEAP sandwich. Made to order and full of flavor. My personal favorite is the P5. The women are super sweet and wholesome. I will visit more often. They have a plethora of merchandise to purchase even olipop ! This is my second time eating here! Came in yesterday for lunch and got a turkey panini and Greek salad. The sandwich was delicious and I love the dressing for the Greek salad! However, about four hours later, I was at my demise. Nausea, vomiting, and excruciating abdominal pain. The culprit - food poisoning! Now, these items were the only thing I had eaten that day, besides a banana for breakfast. I am an avid salad eater, and the salad didn't have any meat so I don't suspect it was that. However the turkey panini (P1 to be specific) has me very suspicious. Overall, clean store, friendly staff and great choices for the menu. My boyfriend and I went there today for lunch. I got the P15 sandwich which included cajun chicken, avacado, pesto, lettuce, tomato, and provolone cheese. It was one of the daily specials so it included a small soup . This cost $7.00 total. My boyfriend got the reuben hot specialty sandwich. This had cornbeef, swiss, sauercraut, and thousand island dressing. He added a bag of chips. This cost a total of $8.00. It was a really nice establishment with friendly people. The service was fast and easy. In addition, the soup, sandwich, and chips were delicious. If you are looking for a cheap, easy, fast, tasty sandwich this is a nice place to go on your lunch break. They weren't super crowded either so you don't have to worry about a line. I wanted to find a lunch place within walking distance with reasonable prices. Natural is on the corner of a large building in the middle of Ballston and the prices were good. I got the Isabella - the sandwich was prepared quickly and I was in and out very quickly. It was pretty good so I'll probably go back and try a different sandwich next time. read more

I love this place. It is a gold mine with imported yummy snacks, healthy and delicious sandwiches, and just about anything you could need. Like a gourmet 7-11. I used to work a block away and would go for lunch or mid-afternoon snacks. The help is sweet, the products they carry are perfect, (exactly what I would order), and the deli food is fresh. Natural Cafe is a great little convenience store, but it's more than that. It offers soups, sandwiches, and a decent wine section. While I've never had the sandwiches, I really like their soup. The chicken tortellini and chicken noodle are my favorite, but I also like minestrone and chicken curry. It's very reasonably priced for lunch and draws a good crowd. ***Update: I've been here a dozen or more times and excellent every time! I'd give 10 stars if I could. This place is a secret gem. I walked by sweetgreen or Taylors with the line going out the door but not one person in Natural Cafe. The sandwichs here are better, priced well, and overall better experience here. But no one knows or gives this little place a shot. This place feels like a little family owned store. The difference here is they have talent and actually know how to run a store instead of all the other disgusting little shops like it. I've been to 3 other little shops like this, they seem to be some kind of cafe/grocery mart/sandwich shop. All other shops are dirty, cramped, and totally discussing. Natural Cafe is the only one that is good. *** This place is great! Prices are low for a small shop and the food is actually very good. I went into a couple other little markets near by and they were so dirty looking I didn't even want to buy anything there. With So many good things to say about this place, it's hard to pick somewhere to start. I live in the apartment attached to this place and it's my go-to stop for a quick sandwich or a convenient item. But, what stands out are their delicious deli sandwiches. My personal favorite is their grilled chicken with bacon sandwich topped with LTMO and mayo. Classic combo done right! YESSS! I am SO excited about this place. Boyfriend and I decided to stop by there and get some sandwiches for dinner tonight and made the glorious discovery that this is ATTACHED to our building! No more having to go outside! They have some basic groceries, Asian stuff that my boyfriend likes to cook with, some really good-looking candy and ice cream, beer and wine, snacks,etc. A lot of the food here seems to be higher quality, and prob higher priced than what you can get at the grocery store, but it is sooo convenient. So this was a very exciting discovery. Now for the sandwiches. This place reminds me exactly of West Wing cafe in DC, down to the sandwich names. They use boar's head meat, and I think the prices are really reasonable and I like the sandwiches. Boyfriend and I both got cabbies without mayo. Delicious! And we got free soup - the chicken noodle was very good. I was checking the place out the other day and saw miso soup as well. I'll have to get that one time! There is a lot to like about this store. Its always clean and borderline OCD organized. Solid sandwiches and drink prices cheaper than CVS. In addition to the sandwiches, they usually have a Korean dish or two on the list of specials. I figured since they can do American sandwiches well, they probably do Korean even better. Tried the bibimbap on a whim and it was a good life decision. The chicken soup has big chunks of meat in it and has quickly become my go to post-lunch pre-gym snack. They have a wide selection of snacks you don't see everyday. I haven't seen so many kinder products since I lived in Switzerland. No idea where they found them! I am always in awe of the selection and variety in this little market. It's a bit pricey but is perfect if I want to save myself from a walk all the way to Harris Teeter. They have everything from gourmet cheeses and a large selection of beer and wine, to laundry detergent and cat food. There are staple grocery items tucked in the back - flour, coffee beans, baby wipes, rice, ramen. And then there is the deli that makes bomb, quick breakfast croissants. While you're waiting for your breakfast sammie, you can browse the endless option of protein bars/on-the-go snacks they have available. Past the register is loads of decently priced wine (you pay a little for convenience?) and beer and drinks galore. I've noticed they always rotate things to keep it fresh and interesting in the drink section - you can always find a funky kombucha that's made locally or something hip kids are in to. In the final part of the experience is the fridge, loaded with my favorite things! Cheese (a wide variety, including my favorite - labneh), cured meats, eggs, bacon...boars head options+. Crackers, cookies...candy. Cigarettes, wraps, lighters, eye drops. It's great. They're open late on the weekends. They have what you need. Everything. All of it. I wasn't digging the name when I first found out what was going to replace the market that used to be at this location. But after walking around the store, looking at what they were selling, and eating a couple of sandwiches from here, I really don't care what they call the place. The coffee and soup are a great idea. They even have smoothies to appeal to customers who miss the Smoothie King that used to be around the corner. The sandwiches are stacked generously with high-quality Boar's Head meat. The sandwiches are priced between $5-$7. They are currently running a 10% off any sandwich promotion for their grand opening. While it seems helpful to have a little convenience store in this area, I absolutely can't vouch for the food. The one time I decided to walk over and try out a sandwich based on yelp reviews, I was surprised to take a bite of my sandwich and find a long curly blonde hair in my bite (and IN MY MOUTH). I spit it out in disgust and threw out everything (including their menu for future use). If I want a good deli sandwich, I'll stick with Mike's. I can actually see my sandwich being made and trust someone not to obliviously allow a long blonde hair in the making of a basic turkey sandwich (how do you even miss that??
