Update: After my review, the owner and the manager both reached out to me separately and apologized for the experience. They offered to give me a make up session with another one of their masseuses, Beatrix, who is better at sports massages. I appreciated the quick response and set up an appointment to give them another try. I'm really glad I did because the massage with Beatrix was fantastic! She knew exactly what my pain points were and told me where this was stemming from, including my previous injury. Needless to say, I will certainly be back for Beatrix going forward! Original Review: I decided to try this spot for a 90-minute sports massage after seeing great reviews on Reddit and Google. It was much cheaper than my usual place, so I thought it could be my new go-to, especially since I'm very active and get massages at least once a month for maintenance. I booked online and was paired with Jordy. A staff member introduced him, explained that Jordy doesn't speak English, and would help translate. I told her I tweaked my lower back from playing sports last week, I generally have very tight muscles, and asked for medium-firm pressure. She relayed everything to him, and he led me to the massage room. As soon as he started, I knew immediately that this was not going to be a the type of massage I wanted. I tried to give it some time but it genuinely felt like he didn't know what he was doing most of the time, or he was running out of things to do. The pressure was inconsistent--sometimes too soft and he was only going over my back with his forearm over and over again. Sometimes it was painful because he used his knuckles way too hard in random spots. He didn't work on my lower back at all, even though I specifically asked for focus there. My upper back and neck, where I have the most knots, also didn't get attention. There were times he was just shaking my arms and legs around. I was pretty frustrated by the end. The total came out to $145 for 90 min, which is more affordable than my usual place ($140 for 60 min). I tipped $20, which is definitely low for me, but I just couldn't justify tipping more given the experience, especially knowing that I was going to have to book myself a massage at my usual spot later this week. The space was clean and modern though, and the staff was friendly. Maybe the good reviews are for the other masseuses here. read more

I was a little surprised that a Spa like Natura Spa is located in Astoria Queens. I am a bit of a snob when it comes to beauty industry having worked for Le Mer, Jo Malone, CK,?RL, Armani , Lancôme....... but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of services and attention to the detail. An 80 minute facial for $95, in this economy? Sign me up. I've walked by Natura Spa probably thousands of times over my many years in Astoria, and always thought it was just a nice looking hair salon. When I was in need of a facial last week and my main spot was booked up I did a quick search to see what was open in the area, and Natura Spa's anti-aging facial caught my eye. They had same day availability, so I booked an appointment. There was a bit of a wait when I arrived, but eventually my esthetician came and took me to the lower level which is where their facial and body treatments happen. This facial included everything you could possibly do to a face. Steam, cleansing, exfoliation, extractions, masks, red light, the zapper tool that's supposed to kill bacteria, those ice globes, plus a face and body massage. An insane value for the amount of time and attention that gets put into this service, if you ask me. My esthetician was great and checked in with me throughout. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great value and a great facial. I'll be back. read more

Booked a couples massage here this month and was very pleased with the overall service. There was an initial request from them on the day of to change the appointment time, but it was minimally inconvenient. I found this to be a clean, welcoming environment, especially since the massage room was located upstairs and away from the loudness of the downstairs salon area. The two masseuses were professional and listened to our concerns about where we needed some extra attention. It was very easy to tip afterwards, as they accept cash, Venmo, or Zelle. I would have liked to sit a bit and have my cup of water at the end of the massage, but I did feel some pressure to pay up, tip, and leave. It would have been a bit nicer to sit a bit before having to settle up the bill so hopefully we will have a chance to do that next time, as we would love to return here again. read more

Godoy is a gem and his coloring skills are unmatched. Everyone always comments on my hair even months after my visit. The only issue is sink for hair washing. It is so uncomfortable that my neck hurts during and after the process. PLEASE GET NEW SINKS!! read more

At Natura they are very professionals , also customer service is excellent, they are very organize, puntual and the place is beautiful. Godoy has been my amazing hair stylist for almost 2 years now And I'm so grateful with him. Every time he touch my hair he do magic. I had a terrible experience, I have given clear instructions of how I wanted my haircut to be and the hairstylist decided to get creative out of nowhere, not to mention the countless times he has scratched my neck with the machine. This is unacceptable, and they still had the audacity to offer me a ridiculous discount of $15 dollars. Absolutely deplorable, please do better or not at all. read more

Booked a blow out with Divya pretty last minute midweek. She did a great job, and was really sweet. She washed my hair and brought me to her chair. I wanted volume and waves but she said they'll fall flat bc it was humid out and my hair is heavy. So she opted for straightening which she blowed out first then straightened. I have followed Mike from a few salons ago and have been going to him for, gosh, maybe 6+ years or so? My husband now goes to Mike as well. He is the best! He is kind, friendly and genuine; which you don't always find. He is also a brilliant stylist! I trust him with my hair, completely. My first experience here was phenomenal. They got very close to the platinum blonde I wanted, and I…read moreleft extremely happy. Because of that, I returned for what was supposed to be a simple root touch-up. Before starting the second appointment, I've received compliments from other hair stylists on how healthy my hair was. I've consistently been told my hair is thin but healthy, and I've worked very hard to maintain it. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite experience. I was at the salon for over six hours, significantly longer than my first visit. Multiple stylists were working on and checking my hair throughout the process, and I trusted that everything was going smoothly. No one checked in with me to approve the color before beginning to blow dry. When I finally saw the result, it was far from the platinum blonde I requested. Instead, my hair was left an orange-toned blonde. I had gone in for a root retouch, but they dyed my entire head without discussing that with me first. After I expressed concern about the color, I was suddenly told my hair was "very damaged" and breaking easily -- despite having complimented its health before starting. I was then told I needed a keratin treatment in order to proceed. This was not something I requested or agreed to; I was told it was necessary after the damage had already been done. During the wash, I could physically feel excessive pulling, and when I stood up, I saw a significant amount of my hair had fallen out. It was heartbreaking, especially after taking so much care of my hair. They attempted to adjust the tone, and while it became somewhat more acceptable, I ultimately left just blonde -- not the platinum blonde I originally had and specifically asked for. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the distress caused, and no adjustment to the bill. I paid full price for a service I was deeply unhappy with. To make matters worse, I later received a voicemail asking me to return and pay for the keratin treatment -- something I never wanted and was told I "needed" after their mistake. Even in that message, there was no apology. My first experience was wonderful, which makes this even more disappointing. Unfortunately, after this visit, I will not be returning

However the person who cut and styled my hair was very rough and yanked my hair a lot because his "technique" for blowout was very messy and my hair kept getting tangled. The cut was good nothing crazy, i asked for blowout curls on the ends and showed him pictures, he curled my hair with a wand that also yanked on my hair a lot and he didn't even hairspray it so by the time i got home most of the curls already fell out. ALSO what was a big no no that I didn't notice at first was that they use the same brushes between multiple clients and don't clean them between each use. I saw brushes with blonde hair in them that were being used on the girl next to me with black hair so I know it wasn't clean. The brushes he used on me i couldn't tell if they were already used but after he finished my hair he put the brushes back in his caddy ready to use again. I'm giving 2 stars for service but I will not be going back I do not want to risk getting lice or a bacterial infection.

I went in for a color correction and full set of highlights. The results were appalling. The stylists have no clue what they're doing. This is a photo of the highlights done aka zebra stripes. The solution to this? The stylist, Elizabeth just added dye to cover up the highlights. The end result? Darker hair than I had previously. I could have easily bought a box of hair color and dyed my hair if I wanted this. Went to the owner to find some resolution, he was rude, arrogant and dismissive. I then went back to Ben for a hair color! I wanted to go dark and he delivered. No green or unwanted color in my hair, and of course the perfect blow out. I will be going back to Ben in the spring for highlights! To do one color on my long hair, with blow out, I paid ~$120 with tip. For just the blow out I paid $40 with tip.

7/2024: yelp accidentally copied me after this business again complained since they tried to delete my review. Let me make it very clear natura spa: you are the worst salon I've ever encountered and given how antagonizing you've been on the phone and contacting me to get your honest feedback deleted I will never stop never ever stop creating new accounts all over Google yelp Reddit Facebook to give my honest feedback of how crappy of a service you give. So yelp to complain all you want. I'll see you again rewrite the same review over and over again every time you get it deleted! Yelp stop deleting honest feedback: yelp contacted me that they're trying to take my review down. FYl, the owner of the salon yelled at me on the phone antagonized me after she ignored me for weeks. Apparently they contacted yelp and said that I threatened them with bad reviews. I don't think it's fair that a business does this to people and isn't held accountable and that's what yelp is all about. Luckily I'm part of a lot of groups on Facebook throughout our communities and I will be warning people there. This owner basically told me l don't care I have insurance, so who cares about your hair. She was completely rude on the phone, but then, when I replied in kind, she started accusing me of being angry. The gaslighting was insane. Seems she's basically trying to lie to get yelp to take down her bad reviews but I have all the proof that I emailed them for weeks never got an answer and I was just asking for a partial refund at the very least. This is my honest feedback on my interaction with this business. OP: My hair is ruined - over layered with lots of hair breakage after this whole ordeal. I went for a half balayage just wanted some caramel pieces, and a few honey pieces put in for face framing. The first stylist Godoy was condescending. I did the consultation with him the day before, and he told me he would do exactly what I wanted only 10 pieces of highlights, and a hair trim. When I told him that for my hair trim, I wanted ghosts layers he started asking me if I did hair. He also butchered the color. I told him so many times the problem is stylus start at the top of my head wear my hair is a lighter brown and it lifts really quick and make me to blonde. I didn't want to be a level nine blonde I don't like the damage. He started on the top of my head anyway, I asked him to paint instead of tease he ignored me. He then added some horrible, dark brunette color on the top of my hair that doesn't even match the level of brunette I am. I basically look like I had bleach box dye bangs that didn't connect in the front once you finish, putting in the highlights, he had to rinse me because the top hair had process too much so the bottom pieces were very faint copper caramel. I sent pictures and asked for a refund, they refused telling me that I would be so happy if I allowed them to fix it with another stylist name, Julian. I gave it a chance because I did look at his pictures before I went to Godoy, who had been recommended and liked his work. This stylist basically told me everything I wanted to hear, but did whatever he wanted! I told him multiple times that to me fixing it was him actually connecting the balayage pieces in the front not just toning balayage pieces in the front not just toning my hair darker I told him I wanted him to leave some pieces of the level eight hair color not take away all of the blonde. I told him I wanted him to paint the color. I told him I didn't want him to cut it. He basically damaged it even more because he teased it again, made it darker without any of the blonde pieces left out so when I saw it after he put me back in the chair, you couldn't even see the highlights. I immediately started freaking out sweating and he was trying to convince me it would look good. Then he grabbed the scissors and I almost cried. I kept telling him please don't cut it and he kept saying he was just connecting the front, but he literally layered the last 3 inches so now my hair has volume on the bottom instead of on the top, which is what I wanted. My hair is not at all the colors I wanted to, and it's beyond damaged. I have a constant halo frizz. I've tried working with the salon they have been giving me the runaround telling me to call me BUT TAKING NO RESPONSIBILITY AND I GOT THIS DONE FOR MY BIRTHDAY THIS WEEKEND. Worst. Hair salon. Ever The day before I had my hair done, I walked in and asked how much it would cost to dye my hair blonde starting three inches away from my roots. The stylist, Jason, asked his boss and she said $150. The next day I came in with a friend who also wanted to get her hair done and I spoke to the receptionist and brought to her attention that I had came in the previous day and spoke to Jason. But instead she introduced to a female stylist (don't remember her name) and said that I would be doing my hair with her. I told her exactly what I wanted and showed her a picture. I had a few doubt whether or not about whether or not I should go gold blonde. The stylist told me that I shouldn't go too blonde and suggested that I go a little darker blonde. I decided to do caramel blonde and showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted. She started from the back of my head which I couldn't see. 20 minutes into it she started other parts of my hair and through the mirror I saw her parting my hair and leaving some bits down: highlights. I asked if she was doing highlights and she answered "yes". And I told her I didn't ask for highlights considering it'll look bad since I already had ombre in my hair. She said it would look better this way. I don't know why I didn't walk out right that minute. When she actually washed all the dye off I kid you not, my hair was almost white! I asked for Caramel blonde and she gave me white highlights. Fast forward to paying. The receptionist rung me up and said "188" and I told explained to her that I came in the day before and they told me it would be $150. She told the stylist about what I said and the stylist says "yeah but I didn't know do what you asked for yesterday, I did more work." Yes so you're charging me for something that YOU wanted to do to my hair? For something that I didn't ask for?! I take a seat and wait for my friend to finish getting her hair done. A few minutes go by, and I'm staring at my hair in mirror. I wanted to cry, I was furious that I spent so much money on BS. I asked to speak to a manager and they claimed she wasn't there. The receptionist offered me to get my hair fixed by the SAME lady in two days. I denied that offer and asked to have somebody else do my hair. She claimed that she would have to speak to her boss about that. The next day they called me and said to come in and fix my hair. When I arrived the boss was basically harassing me and trying to blame it on me. She told me that my hair was the same as the picture but the only difference is that the lighting in the picture was different. I told her I didn't like it and she told Jason, to put caramel toner in my hair. The whole time I was there she was speaking to the other workers and customers about me in Portuguese. I felt so uncomfortable because they were all staring and shaking their heads. After Jason tried "fixing" my hair, it looked exactly the same and his words exactly "there's nothing else I can do". I left without even complaining and I really don't know how the hell these people have licenses to do hair!! BEWARE DO NOT ENTER THIS SALON. They will cheat you out of your own money and find a way to blame your for their mistakes. PS: I found out that they were also the ones who gave another friend of mine an "ombre" a couple months back. Marina is amazing for waxing- her Brazilian waxing is almost painless and she's very thorough. Had a recent facial with Rosa- amazing- it's like I don't have any pores. I also have had one with Baderia in the past and was satisfied. I used to come here for their Brazilian keratin treatments, but the chemicals they use are a bit too strong for me in terms of odor/sensitivity - which is a shame because it is the strongest, longest-lasting Brazilian keratin I've ever had, anywhere. Last time I had that treatment here, a lot of product got on my scalp and I had a slight chemical burn. The fumes are also irritating to my eyes/nose. (plus there's that whole cancer fear- they do say their product doesn't contain formaldehyde, but there are aldehyde compounds that are also dangerous that they can then can use to say formaldehyde-free. I don't know specifically what is in their product, but it is STRONG). I've had the keratin treatments and haircuts from Reina, Divya and Telmo and they are all excellent. I will note that the owner/management is not the friendliest, which is a shame. I.e. at my last appointment, the woman (I believe she is the owner or manager) thought I was a different Samantha and said that I had spaced my 2 services at different times and hadn't come in for the first service. I said I was booked for 2 concurrent services and I wasn't sure what she meant. She said no, I missed my appointment and that next time I should call and cancel. I took my phone out to show her my reservation confirmation email with my appointment times and she took my phone over to the computer and realized there were 2 Samanthas booked around the same time. She did not apologize for the misunderstanding. Not a big deal really, but if you're going to insist that I messed up and scold me for not cancelling, you could offer a quick "sorry" when you realize the error was yours. read more

I rarely leave reviews, and I don't write this lightly, but this was one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had. I came in with very clear expectations: long, blended layers and a soft brown balayage. I even provided reference photos. What I walked out with looked nothing like what I asked for. Instead of a natural brown balayage, my hair was taken to an almost platinum blonde shade that completely washed me out and severely damaged my hair in the process. The haircut was just as bad. The layers are uneven, choppy, and look hacked apart rather than professionally blended. The ends were aggressively thinned/texturized to the point that my once long, full, healthy hair now feels thin, stringy, and lifeless. It honestly looks and feels like it was cut with a machete instead of salon shears. I loved my hair before this appointment, and now I feel awful every time I look at it. What made the experience even worse was how the salon handled the situation afterward. When I reached out to express my concerns, instead of taking accountability or showing empathy, I was essentially called a liar. They refunded only the haircut portion, while refusing to refund the color service -- despite the fact that the color is what caused the most damage and is completely different from what I requested. Hair damage like this cannot be instantly fixed; it will take months, if not years, to grow out and recover. Paying $560 for this level of work is honestly shocking. At that price point, I expected professional skill, care, and at the very least respect when addressing a client's concerns. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of accountability, poor customer service, and careless results made this experience unacceptable. Natura Spa is the best salon in Astoria. Hand's down, they are wonderful, for the highest level of professionalism and a great value with reasonably priced services. They also use all natural Aveda products, which are delicious, and offer seasonal specials and coupons. Friendly and courteous staff and an attractive and pleasant atmosphere add to the experience. This was my third time back, now at their larger, new location on Steinway Street. I desperately needed a haircut; my hair is limp and pin straight and I looked like a flowerpower hippie from old Woodstock footage. It was time for an update. How do you articulate to a hair stylist that you would like your hair to look exactly like Jennifer Aniston's... or at least to look as good as her stunt double's? With Raymond, I didn't have to say this, which would have been embarrassing, nor did I have to bust out the photo of Jen's sleek blowout from Allure Feb 2011 I had stashed in my handbag, saved just for this occasion. From the first moment, Raymond understood me. The service was fabulous, Raymond is direct, warm and confident, he orchestrated the best experience I've had in beauty treatment in a long time. In less than half an hour I had the sleekest, silkiest, gotta touch it, cant take my eyes off it, love my life hairstyle that was absolutely perfect, just what I was looking for. He made it look so easy, but I know it is Raymond's expertise, keen attention to detail and most importantly- his Charm and Talent that made today such a success. I came here last week and got waxed by a new lady. I saw her there before but I never got waxed with her, before I have tried Ursula, Irina and Marina from which Ursula was my favorite. The new girl's name was Bianca I think someone mentioned her before on here. She told me shes doing waxing for like a year but she was at this spa on and off cuz of school but she said shes there for good now. She took me as a walk in no problem and its true what other people said she does a good job. I like it that she talks while waxing it makes time go by faster and she speaks good English couldnt even tell she was born in Brazil til she told me. I was gettin waxed with Ursula before her and shes also real good and really funny and so very sweet. She doesnt mind if u come in late and never turned me down. She's an older lady I think the oldest of all the waxers there, she knows what she's doing ,you can tell, and she told me she's been doing waxing for over 20 years! Thats... wow. Some experience, I gotta say! I say theyre the best two there even tho I tried others and theyre nice and all but this isnt just about them being nice or not, its about how they do their work and the final results, and based on that I wouldnt do it again with them cuz I personally prefer Ursula and Bianca. Im stickin with Bianca and Ursula I love them both. Its nice cause now if Ursula isn't around I can just go to Bianca and I dont have to wait. When I came first came here, I thought that the place had products from the NATURA Line which is actually a Brazilian Cosmetic company I was wrong. The place had Aveda products which are HORRIBLE. Aveda products are the worst natural products EVER. HORRIBLE PLACE. WHAT A NIGHTMARE! I'm a little embarrassed to write this review because its the first waxing that i ever tried but i want to share this because I want other girls to experience the Brazilian wax technique instead of the dreaded regular American way. I was greeted by Byanca at the spa, she made me feel right at home and her room was so serene and peaceful I could help but to feel more relaxed. She started telling me a very funny story about her last date and before i knew it she was done, when I looked at the watch I realized that I had been there for 45 minutes. She had me laughing so hard i never noticed the pain or that the time flew by. I highly recommend you to try Byanca at Natura, she is a true gem and I am sold for life with her. I was so pleased with my experience that Byance suggested I redue my highlights. She introduced me to Bernard and I took me to wash my hair, I have never had such a wonderful head massage in my life, I thought i was in heaven!! It's a very warm, clean an beautiful spa. I've been going here for waxing for at least 5 years, After other experiences in NY this was a welcome quality treatment! Sonia is mindful, gentle, and works with your specific skin and hair to make sure it's as painless as possible. Even tho the setting looks elegant everyone who works there is warm and judgement free. It was recommended to me from a friend, and I hate going anywhere else for wax now. I moved 1:30 hour away and regularly go back to queens to go to this spa. I used to see Marina on Monday's who is also wonderful and now I can only go on Sunday's and was so happy to find out how great Sonia is! It's rare to find a place with even one good specialist, this place has surprised me with two. If you need to get pampered and are a wimp to pain like me, check them out. I also have extremely sensitive skin and have reacted to waxes in other places even high quality, but what they use at Natura Spa has never hurt burned or irritated me. I've been going to this place for quite a while. There are some really great hair stylists there, I dye my hair platinum blonde and I always come out with a wonderful pale blond color that looks like it has white highlights (just the way I like it). I got my eyebrow and brazilian wax done there before and it was okay, but recently I started getting waxed with this young woman named Byanca. She's got a great hand for waxing. Steady grip, but gentle at the same time. She's very neat and thorough. Better than any other place I've been to and than the other waxers at this place. She actually took the time to pull out every single stray hair and the whole area was immaculately clean and without a single hair or any ingrown hairs left over. It was surely the least painful waxing I had done in a long time. It was fast but also well done, not fast and sloppy like a lot of waxers do, trying to rush you out the door to get more customers done. I also got some very good tips for what to do in-between waxing. She's a very sweet girl, super nice and respectful. The pricing was also pretty reasonable. Love the professionals that work here! Rebelatto is an Artist! He makes amazing make-ups and highlights! He is very fun to be around! Lucke is very amazing with highlights as well, but he always did my eyebrows perfectly and corrected them. His braids and Up-dos are just phenomenal just like the make up, he is a pro! Rosa gives the best massages and facials, just Amazing!!! Claudia from Laser is also great! She explains everything and is very flexible and patient. Divya makes amazing haircuts, she is an amazing professional. Luiz is the guy, he can do any kind of color, if you want blue with pink, he will be the one that will make you shine! I walked into Natura salon just expecting a blow dry, I had set an appointment with Angel and wow! I am so happy that I got the opportunity to have him do my hair. He noticed I wasn't happy with the hair color I had (I was going through a blonding process from black hair, so My hair was very brassy/red) He sat me down after he washed my hair and told me I was such a beautiful girl and any hair no matter what color would look great, so he said a simple toner would do the trick! Angel did the toner treatment and all I have to say it THANK GOD I listened to him. I went from a brassy color throughout my head to the most beautiful ashy blonde. He has hands of gold and I am so grateful he got to do my hair and from now on I only trust Angel with my hair. I highly recommend him for all your color needs. This place is RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL, PERIOD!!! Nobody in this place speaks ENGLISH and whoever speaks their Portugese seems to highly recommend it. Ha, ha, ha. Even if you ask to speak to a Manager, that manager is RUDE TOO! As a matter of fact the manager rushes the hair stylists to complete their jobs quickly so they move on to another customer: they don't care if the job is done or not: they would tell you that your time is up and there is another customer waiting. Why would they schedule another customer when they know someone's hair will need more time than usual - money hungry place - I wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business or someone sues the place for serious wrong doing. Whoever writes about Telmo hairdresser is in a dreamland cuz' this guy is nowhere close being friendly not to mention about others too - you can't remember their names but they all look at you as if they have a problem with you, even if you see them for the first time. I really cannot say enough good things about Byanca (yes, it is spelled with a "y" not with an "i", everyone has been making that mistake). She took care of my ingrown hairs better than any doctor or any medicine. In only a few visits she got rid of almost all of my ingrown hairs. I tried everything possible, but no matter the number of visits to dermatologists or how many different creams, pills, or treatments I would try, nothing worked as well as traditional hands-on approach. Byanca removed all of my ingrown hairs with a special tool that she has just for that, after waxing the whole area. There was NOT A SINGLE HAIR left behind. Smooth as a baby's ass. yah iv been going to natura spa for a while now and i just figured out can write reviews very sahhweet but back to the spa natura spa is very loyal to there customers and they are a great spa im a man and i really dont trust many people doing a brazilian wax and my friend referred me to this waxer name byanca she is very calm and sweet with her work she does an excellent job im glad a friend refferd me to her but now everyone i used to go too pfft they lost there custi back to my point i love natura spa i got my hair done by jaison he is a master with his hands controlling my hair pfft 5 stars im glad with the results so basicly i would reffer my whole fam and friend here the best spa i have yet been to im glad with the results 5 star for the spa 10 stars for the spa and the workers pfft the besttttt i will deffinatly come back for more pain lol im very happy with the enviorment there very peaceful and very helpful in everyway read more

I love this place! The atmosphere is very serene and cozy. Everyone is so polite. Best of all, I have found my hair angel: Lucke! This is my second time seeing him and and he transformed my hair to the color I've been waiting for! I'm not a natural blonde so it's been a challenge to get the right color. I've had good and bad experiences in the past. I recently needed him to fix an error that occurred with another stylist. He was honest about the state of my hair. He warned me the limitations he had and wanted to be sure not to cause any damage to it. He cared more about the health of my hair than numbers and that truly is what made me happy. I have been coming here for almost 4 years. I always do the underarm and Brazilian wax. I recently tried the bottom half of my legs. I used to have Sisa as the lady that ALWAYS waxed me until she moved. And she recommended Sonia. Sonia is a sweetheart. She takes care of my skin and always tries to give me the best advise so I won't have ingrown hairs which I always tend t get. And the thing I love about Sonia is if you tell her something for example with waxing it helps when the water after pulling the strip they apply pressure. That helps with the pain, and I had told Sonia one time to do it and she had no problem at all. She would prefer her clients telling her how they are most comfortable rather than them being in pain of any sort. She's wonderful! read more

I came in with PHOTOS of what I wanted, did a pre-consult, and explicitly warned her about my hair history - I had severe well water damage years ago that made my hair weak and it took me YEARS to get it healthy again. I asked her to be extremely careful multiple times. What did she do? - Left 2 inches of obvious growth/roots - When I asked her to go closer, she gave me a BLEACH BASELIFT around my ENTIRE hairline - All my baby hair - the delicate, sensitive hair around my face - is fried - She basically painted my hairline with bleach When I calmly tried to discuss what happened, she started CRYING and playing victim. The building/salon owner never even looked at my damaged hair and got involved in the incident which was didn't even make sense. She was late to our first appointment, forgot our entire consultation, and her eyes were glazed over. She blamed "allergies." This woman is a MESS! She offered to refund me but I had to ask THREE TIMES for her to finally do it. I asked her to work with me through this process, offer some conditioning treatments, because I wanted her to go through the two year pain of seeing what she did, but she refused to give me a plan. I am now dealing with severe hair damage that will take years to fix. This is not just a bad haircut - this is a licensed professional who showed up not right and destroyed my hair. DO NOT GO HERE. Save yourself the heartbreak and damage.
