Jalapeño naan
Elle K.

Really wanted to like this place for the Indian Mexican fusion but my meals have been pretty average both times I've eaten here. The best thing we had were the veggie samosas, really liked those. The dal soup was alright, lacking flavor and watery. The onion pakoda was exactly what you'd think, fried onion strings. I've had way better Shahi korma, tikka masala and chicken biryai and the jalapeño naan was interesting. It was just plain bread with jalapeños on it, no garlic or butter or anything else. Maybe I'm missing something and this is just part of the fusion, but it was not doing it for me. They do have a good happy hour if you want to come try them out!

I drive by all of the time because it's in my neighborhood but never stopped before. Finally made it! My boss and I stopped in for lunch one day and weren't disappointed at all. We each got the lunch platter special and it as packed with so much food I took it home for dinner. They have a ton of other food options, so many that it's tough for someone like me who is often indecisive. The platter is great for that reason alone. Everything was flavored well and on-par with items I've eaten at other Indian restaurants. I know this is Mexican/Indian fusion sort of place and next time I am going to have to explore that avenue to see what it's all about. But, as far as authentic Indian food goes, I give 4 out of 5 stars. Service was amazing too. Fast and friendly.

Not sure what is Indian, or Mexican about this place when they lack the flavors from both the cuisine. Recently went here for a birthday dinner with friends and returned with an upset stomach and disappointment. Had been waiting to try this place for the last 6 months since it was an Indo-mexican fusion. The idea itself was new and of course, it is Texas and we had to try it. Our order: Veg Samosa 4/5 Lentil crackers 1/5 Goat Biriyani 5/5 Chile Relleno 1/5 Taco plate Paneer enchilada 1/5 I had been waiting for 3 days planning on the menu and its creative dishes but such a disappointment. The samosa was looking like an empanada (so that's the Mexican touch to it and it had Indian flavors and taste. It was not a let down but the lentil crackers just blew our minds off. It was no where close to chips & salsa replacement. It was just a regular Indian papad. Goat biriyani was an authentic Indian biriyani with ebbing flavors and spices with good and well cooked goat meat. I would totally recommend that here. Let us come to the disasters of the evening: Chile Relleno - I got the veggie Relleno and the tikka masala on the top. The tikka masala was really tasty and buttery , loved it. The fillings inside the poblano peppers were simply boiled potato and peas and they were just bland!! I thought it was just for me but it had the same with the Paneer enchilada. The enchilada was super bland and dry and lacking Mexican or Indian flavors as i said earlier. Not recommending this place to anyone who knows Indian flavors.

I came here as a recommendation from the person I was meeting and overall I thought I was a good experience. There's a nice patio with a decent amount of seating and I love how the silverware, plates and cups were metal. The staff was friendly and I appreciated how you could order from a QR code. I got the vegetable Chana masala and it was pretty good--low-key was hoping for more vegetables because there was just 2 chunks of potato and a couple pieces of cauliflower, but the flavor was yummy. The garlic naan was fire obviously. I also got a margarita and my total after tip was about $38..I know I'm cheap as fuck but that low-key seems a tiny bit steep for 3 things lol, but the food is yum & filling and the vibe was chill. The super nice man fed my dog some lamb. I don't know if he worked there or not but my dog and I both really appreciate his kindness and my dog said the lamb was FIRE !

I love this place! Everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. I've been a number of times now and my only complaint is that I feel like there's some kind of inconsistency in the spice levels. I love intense spice so I always go for the hottest level - 'Desi Hot'. I usually order through Doordash because I feel like they actually make it as spicy as it's supposed to be rather than knocking down the spice when I come i person. I wish I could give like 4.5 instead of just 4 but I think the spice levels should be kept consistent. I order the spiciest level because I want it super spicy lol but it still tastes amazing nonetheless!

Lots of vegan options! I liked the Aloo Gobi and the Pomegranate Margarita. It looked like they had a good happy hour from 4-7pm on weekdays. Service was nice and we did not feel rushed, but need to note that the restaurant was very noisy.

I can't believe how this place went under my radar for so long! They blended Mexican & Indian food so well here. When I walked in I wasn't really sure what I was expecting to be honest but I was blown away by how nice the entire staff was and how delicious the food is. The Tikka Nacho's with cheese honestly blew my mind. They added this delicious Tikka sauce on top and the side that, with the cheese, came together perfectly. They also included some guacamole which was very good with the nachos as well. Next time I plan on the getting them chicken. The chicken Tikka Enchilada was wild, I can't believe they made enchiladas with a sweet tikka sauce. The first bite had me totally hooked wanting more. The sauce was sweet, the chicken cooked perfect and tender. It was very amazing. They had music playing which was very nice and all the staff were so attentive to us and making sure they answered our questions and were close by to help with everything. I'm mad I didn't find Nasha sooner but now that I have I'll make sure this is going to be a recurring restaurant I visit. An absolutely deserved 5/5 stars!!

I had high hopes for this place but it was nothing special. Pros: * interesting decor * parking available *outdoor seating * green chutney served with pakora was amazing! Cons: * I got the lamb thali. While the lamb was tender, only 3 pieces were given. Chana masala had no spice, cabbage slaw had no purpose, onion pakoras were cold, halwa dessert was clumped and cold. Naan was very doughy, reminded me of thick roti. I try not to leave food behind but i just couldn't finish it. The lack of spice killed my appetite.

Vibe- Very nice restaurant with plenty of seating inside and outside under a nice patio like space. Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- Tofu vegan taco plate (I wish the tofu had more seasoning but it was alright) + Momma's Summa Lemonade Parking- There's a few spaces in the lot and some street parking near by

Love this hidden gem. I don't know about y'all but we got tired of going to places in Austin and having to wait to eat. We went on a Friday dinner, past 6 pm. The place was not empty, there were tables occupied. But we got seated right away. The ordering was all done thru an app. There were 3 of us in the group. You can open a tab and invite your group. Very convenient! The service is quite prompt too. I had the cardamom margarita and lamb Chile relleno with masala sauce. My companions had the tikka masala and carne asada. We all shared the chips (which are actually papadums) and chutney, and samosa. All were yum! As I am writing this a few days later, I already want to go back. :) We will be back for sure!

Chicken Tikka Masala, biryani, Garlic Nan

I've always been curious about what Indian TexMex fusion would work and Nasha nailed it. We started with the tikka queso, the flavors were incredible. It was very creamy and almost the texture of vegan queso, but good nonetheless. I wanted to try the "fusion" food but I got sucked into a favorite food, chicken tikka masala. I like spicy food but the server made me a little nervous by saying spicy is- well spicy. So I went with medium heat- next time I will ask for just spicy. the flavor was great but I would have loved a bit more heat. The garlic naan was incredible. My partner got a chicken biryani and said it was better than others he's had at other joints. The inside is small and cozy but they take advantage of the space well. If cedar wasn't trying to take us all out, I would have opted to sit outside. The space looks great out there. Will definitely be back, I saw about 30 other item on the menu that I need to try.

Not great. All curries look pretty much the same. Looks like they just added veggies to the gravy. Not cooked properly. Disappointed.

Holy cow, basmati lamb fried rice!! Guys, when he handed us our food it was so hot I could barely hold it that's how fresh it was! We started with the HH samosas which came in a set of 2 (perfect, we each got one and didn't have to fight over them). Then we got the Saag gravy with shrimp and the chicken Tikka. My husband favored the Saag and I favored the tikka but both were well balanced and FULL of flavor. We ended with a cocktail each. I shall gate keep no longer and let everyone in on not only what/where my number one fav Indian joint is but why. So let's go! It's a food truck. Yup, a food truck off E. 6th in downtown Austin TX pumping out the Indian food of my dreams. Confession Session: I have never personally visited said food truck or been to this location. But every single visit to ATX includes me ordering Madras Dhaba delivery to my hotel. Turn around time has always been rather quick and accurate. So what are my go-to orders? They are their delish and slightly spicy two piece samosa, their paratha, and saag paneer. This place has odd hours, apparently closed on Wed, and I typically will order on Thurs nights. I have found that their menu offerings can vary depending on when you're ordering. On a Tues they didn't have Saag Panner on the menu so I opted for Panner Tiki Masala, still delish but not as good as that Saag Panner. Also their rice is S O good! I've recently found myself also ordering their Panner Tikka Tacos and yes...those have now become an absolute staple that I feel inclined to include in every order. Don't you judge me. I have also had their Veg Biriyani and was satisfied with that as well. TBH I have legit never been disappointed with anything I have had from Madras Dhaba. The flavors, the portions, the price. They all come together and create what I have previously described as my fav Indian joint. Will I end up visiting in person, I would hazard a guess and say yes, some day I will actually eat at the food truck. But until then, you can find me ordering delivery from them and having way too much food that is way too good to be as cheap as it is at my hotel. That's it. That's the review.

We came as a group of 5 during a soccer match and had no trouble getting seated- they did have the game playing on a large tv at the back but didn't bother us. The chilly sauce one was good though on the sweet side- some of the group weren't a big fan but I loved it I think the spice balances out the sweet. If we didn't have multiple flavors to try I may have gotten tired of it but I really enjoyed having all the different versions. I think the Jhol was my favorite- the spicy sauce was delicous and I dipped some of the other items in it once we finished the momos! We also tried the sandheko ones which were fun and unique- the herbs/veggies they were tossed with were great. We also tried the special khaja set- this was super fun and something I had never tried before. We all agreed that most restaurants in Austin advertising Nepali food usually serve typical Indian dishes plus momos, so it was fun and exciting to have other Nepali dishes I had never tried on the menu! The set was great, the flattened rice wasn't my favorite but it sure was interesting! I'd highly recommend it if you want to try something new! The only dish I personally didn't enjoy (this is the one the server warned us about) was a mutton dish. I can't pinpoint what menu item it is but it was just pieces of mutton with some spices to dip them in. My husband enjoyed this and ate a good portion but I found it to be so incredibly gamey I could barely finish the first piece lol. Absolutely no points off as it was definitely a personal preference thing and awesome that they have adventurous options!
