They definitely get a higher rating for the atmosphere and decor over the coffee. Their coffee is good, but I don't really come here for the coffee. They have a really interesting, simple, but tasty menu. Their staff is SUPER friendly. The interior is beautiful, lots of open space, brick, clean lines. Very instagram friendly. I'm one of those people who sits at Starbucks for as many hours as I can stand, doing homework, until my behind starts to hurt from the uncomfortable chairs. You won't have that problem here. Love this coffee shop! The baristas are very knowledgeable and super friendly. You can tell that they're excited about serving the best cup of coffee and educating others. Also, I love their "Honor Bar". The Honor Bar is a self serve brewed coffee bar at Narrative Coffee where the guest rings themselves up for a $2 coffee. A nice, upscale coffee shop with some different specialty coffees to choose from. I had a drip coffee which was really tasty and an espresso shot which was also very good. Felt a little out of place cause I didn't know what some of the coffee options were but employee explained them in great detail. The extremely hipster vibe was the only thing that threw me off a bit, but also what made it memorable and a cool experience. Me and my friends got some homework done. Sadly I was very disappointed even though the ratings are good and I walked directly here when in Everett waiting for a car repair. My simple order of a pour over coffee and biscuit took a half an hour. And the biscuit was COLD! For all that wait they couldn't warm it up. It was buttery and could have been flaky and wonderful. The build out and use of space, and their style is unmatched in Everett - and is better than all the small shops in Seattle. This is my go to spot before meetings with the City. Just not very good food. Ordered French toast for my kids, and it was nasty. It was two logs of baguette drenched in a peach flavored simple syrup.
