Our server and food runner were among the most friendly service workers we've come across and made our experience feel genuinely special The first bite of the Picanha Gaucho was fantastic and it was consistently soft and smokey. And the Gelato alone was worth the visit, I would highly recommend their unique take on Ferrero Rocher chocolate gelato! We went to Narbona today for Valentine's Day, and it was a decent experience. We sat outside because we noticed the inside was loud and the seating felt a lot less private. We decided to go with the three-course meal. For the starter, we ordered the Beet & Citrus Carpaccio with Caviar Pearls. It was new to us, and we didn't have high expectations. It was alright and probably not something I'd order again, but it did feel light and healthy. We also got the Truffle Risotto Arancini. It was pretty mid. We felt there was too much aioli and wished they had added another ball or something else to the starter to make it feel more complete. For the entrée, we got the Filet Mignon. That was really good. Both of our steaks were cooked to perfection, and the mashed potatoes were really good too. The red wine sauce was delicious and complemented the steak nicely. We could have eaten a bigger portion, but nevertheless, it was great. Lastly, for dessert, we got the Lava Cake and the Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake. When ordering the Lava Cake, we were disappointed to see that the ice cream was already really melted by the time it got to us. It gave us the impression that it had been sitting there for a while. The Lava Cake itself was really good -- the dulce de leche really brought everything together. The cheesecake was also really good. It was the perfect amount of sweetness for a cheesecake, and the raspberry topping was great. Overall, the experience was nice, but do I see myself coming back here anytime soon? Unlikely. read more

Came to Narbona on a Tuesday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. The space is very large, modern, and attractive, and while it wasn't packed, it was steadily busy. One immediate note: the A/C was blasting. It was uncomfortably cold, and we had to ask the staff to make it warmer, which they did accommodate. Food was a mixed experience. I ordered the salmon with grilled vegetables. I didn't realize it came with potatoes as well, and since I don't eat them, I would have preferred to know ahead of time--but I didn't feel right sending that part back. The salmon itself was fine. Others at the table ordered chicken parm (which was enjoyed), mussels, and tuna, all of which got decent reviews. One friend ordered a veal dish with a creamy sauce and really did not like it, and the octopus had to be sent back. For dessert, we ordered a cheesecake for the birthday celebration. The waitstaff did come out and sing, which was festive, but just note that the dessert is not complimentary--we paid for it. Overall, I'm glad we tried it, but it ended up being a bit pricey when all was said and done, especially given the uneven food experience. I think next time I'd stop by for coffee and a pastry, which feels more aligned with the vibe I'd enjoy here. Worth trying once, but not sure I'd rush back for dinner. i'd love to see what their takeout is like or even come at lunch time. It's on Boca Center so parking was not an issue. read more

I took myself out on a Sunday breakfast/brunch date as I was looking for some solo down time. Narbona checked all the boxes I was purposely and inadvertently looking for that morning: Cozy European vibes Good coffee Yummy bites Somewhere to relax and read I sat at the bar and was attended to right away. I ordered an oatmilk latte and the avo toast off of their breakfast menu. My meal was amazing and I was able to read my book and just enjoy the slow morning. The restaurant is vast but it still gives off cozy intimate cafe vibes and I'm here for it all. Their fresh bakery and gelato corner make it all the more charming. This place is not like most spots. They have a casual, kind of classy restaurant surrounded by a market with meat, fish, prepared foods... as well as a bakery/coffee takeout area, and a gelato area. We stopped by with friends after dinner for a cappuccino and to check out the desserts. The restaurant/bakery is well lit and clean. Dee helped us and was super friendly. She told us her favorite dessert there were the dark horse cookies. The Rogel looked amazing. This is traditional layered pastry sheets, dulce de leche, and toasted meringue. While we were visiting family in Key Biscayne, Florida a friend recommended NARBONA (on the island) for dinner. Whoah what a lovely intimate restaurant with an outstanding menu. I can't say enough of the excellent service provided by Emilio Vega our waiter. He was spot on taking care of us and the other tables without skipping a beat. The wine selection was absolutely fantastic. We started with Burrata and the roasted Beets; fabulous. We had Charcuterie commerce Caesar salad, and their tagatelli ragu which was their bolognese. It all was a wow! After our meal, we sampled the Dubai chocolate gelato. It was so good. 5 Stars for a big and impressive Italian restaurant, deli, market, bar, etc. We arrived on a slow day (near the holidays) at 11:30am and immediately were able to get a table outside. Christian, our server, let us know it gets very busy on weekends, so we got lucky! As soon as you sit down, you'll notice the place mat that has illustrations of the other locations of Narbona around the world. There are a handful, but it is originally an Uruguayan Italian restaurant. A few of our favorites were: - the empanadas: these were stuffed FULL and came with a wonderful dipping sauce (acidity to help balance the dish) - the handmade pasta: we got the ravioli, but given that they make the pasta themselves, I'd venture to guess they're all fabulous dishes. - the complimentary garlic buns we got when we first ordered. These blew us away!!! - beet salad: this was heavenly! The beets were interspersed with orange slices and it sat on a bed of cheese and tangy sweet mustard sauce. At first, I thought it was an Italian restaurant inside a little gourmet market, but it's actually Uruguayan. The food is so similar to Italian. We had a great homemade pasta, grilled Bronzino with some seasonal vegetables. Everything is made in the house. For dessert we had a chocolate gelato and tiramisu it was excellent! Service friendly, prompt and efficient. This is a plus/minus. If you wish to "dine" and spend two hours over dinner this would be difficult to accomplish. That said, no one rushed us out. Although I said Maybe for a recommendation, I would recommend this restaurant for their calamari which is excellent in texture and taste. I have read good reviews about their empanadas which I'm willing to try. Regarding their customer service, I have mixed reviews. Our waitress was very nice, accommodating and pleasant while the young lady who brought us the bread and water made us feel uncomfortable. Her demeanor was not pleasant and welcoming but short and abrupt. In addition, when she brought the burgers we ordered, she removed our bread basket with bread still in it without asking if we were done. The gentleman who seated us outside was pleasant but we waited quite a while before anyone came outside to take our order. We ordered the Pepe burger which was good. Excellent bun but they forgot to add the crispy onions which I had to ask for. Their sweet potato fries are awesome, crispy with a soft texture. Great ambiance outside; good place to meet friends. Marvin's occupied the space previously occupied by Joseph's Italian Specialty Market. It is a huge cavernous space with mile-high ceilings. And huge glass windows. When I was there it was warm. Stale air. No circulation. And they had all this spot lights shining directly on the tables. Way way too many spot lights. I assume they dim them at him. This was afternoon and quite frankly they were not needed. They need to get the temp cooler. I plan to return and if it's warm when I walk in I will walk out. The bread was warm and delicious. Served with oil dripping off it. The antipasto plate was tasty and large portion. And my salad was very well portioned and tasty. Server was on point. She was from Argentina, where servers are not college kids working part time or harried servers in poor moods. She was a professional and her service took my 3 stars to 4. I could not give 5 stars due to the poor AC circulation and the blinding spot lights. Oh, it's pricey. And I forgot to mention that is not simply a restaurant but also a market. I loved the vibe in this place, their dessert selection is wide, I personally went there for gelato only but will definitely be back for dinner or desserts. For gelato, the staff didn't seem to be professional to me, I tried 2-3 different gelatos and they were smiling and looking at each other and almost making fun of me trying out. They were young seemed like college students. I was looking for a refreshing fruity gelato and tried lemon/strawberry and pineapple. So, returned for our second time. The food is unbelievable! All the pasta is made on premise, the Parmesan reggiano cheese is made in Italy at their location and then shipped here. It is all fresh ground and served until you say stop. The Caprese salad was delicious, as I would expect. But the pappardelle aglio e olio was beyond expectation, and that was surpassed by the spinach ravioli. And the salad Dos lechugas was just right! The manager came by several times to check up on us, and offered to show me the pasta making setup. Next time on that. Parking is plentiful but, since there are many restaurants in the center, you might have to search for a spot, depending on the time. I'll definitely see them again. Hope to see you there! read more

Lively, Delicious, and Perfect for a Family Outing We went to Narbona in Boca Raton for Father's Day lunch and had a great experience. The space is beautiful--large, vibrant, and full of energy. Located right by the Boca mall, it's easy to find with plenty of parking. We were able to get a reservation for Father's Day and were seated right away, which was a big plus. Our server was very friendly and made us feel welcome. I had the brioche French toast topped with mascarpone foam, berries, and maple syrup--delicious and nicely portioned. My parents split a pizza, which was large and perfect for two. My dad had the filet mignon sandwich with an egg, served with sweet potato fries--great portion and really tasty. This isn't a quiet, romantic spot--it's lively and a bit loud--but it's a perfect place for brunch, lunch, or a casual dinner with friends or family. The menu has plenty more I'd love to try. After eating, we explored the market inside, which is amazing--fresh and dry pastas, a butcher, prepared foods, sauces, meats, cheeses, wines, beautiful desserts, and even a gelato bar. If you're visiting from out of town or just looking for a new place to enjoy a meal and browse a gourmet market, Narbona is worth checking out. Is it a market ... is it a restaurant ... Yes and Yes. Narbona took over the old Joseph's in Boca Center. There's plenty of free parking in the front and another free garage on the side if you can't find a space. I thought it was a gourmet market, which it totally is. I stopped by on a rainy night planning to look around and maybe pick up a few things and realized there's a full restaurant. I had no idea and would have stayed for dinner but felt a little uncomfortable asking for a table in sweats. This place is big - so many choices in one spot. Not only a full sit down Restaurant, a wine shop, a gourmet market, high end cheese and meat market, a sandwich shop... and a bakery and gelato shop! Offering late night dessert too.  They're open until 9 on weekdays and 10 on weekends. A perfect stop before ending the night.   The staff was very friendly and helpful.  The guy behind the counter saw me looking at a box of Squid Ink Paella base that was advertised at 20% off. He told me how easy it was to prepare and how great it was and with it being on sale it was a good buy. With such a positive endorsement, I put it in my basket.   When I got home, I looked at the receipt and realized it rang up at full price. Which is why they list a star. Don't promote something if you can't take the time to change the register. Other than this glitch, everything I purchased was good. I bought large scallops that were so fresh and a nice seafood salad. All in all I was happy and will come back for dinner and to shop in the market. read more

This is one of those businesses that now have a market and a restaurant in the same space, a la Eataly. We came in to check it out since we had never been to a Narbona before and the market space had great choices of olive oil, honey, wine, cookies, pasta, etc. We got a bottle of wine which we should open and try in the not too distant future. They had a sit down section where anyone could be waited on, but they also have a more casual area where you could get a salad, an empanada or a dessert and just relax and chill. They say, "Listen to your waiter/waitress" We listened to Federico and got the special Ravioli shrimp and lobster and also tuna ravioli (I know it sounds GROSS but it was SO GOOD! ) with lobster sauce. My husband said he would order it again which is a big deal because he doesn't ever order ravioli. The place is clean lots of wait staff. Loved the music. I love that we can walk around and buy some things we tasted to take home with us. The manager Alex came over to make sure everything was as ok. The other wait staff came to clear things. The mixed grill I have to say is amazing for the price and honestly they could charge more in Boca - I am glad they don't though! Also loved Tannat Rose well balanced and perfect for what we ordered. The service was a little confusing because we had multiple people taking our order and we sat there for quite a while until the salad was I would go back another time and try some of their food. We were a restaurant group of 8 from the Valencia Sound development here for dinner on a Saturday night. Upon arrival, we were graciously greeted by reception and taken to a long rectangular table. For our sized group who wanted to meet and greet for the first time, we would have preferred a large round table, but unfortunately they do not have this. The venue has that WOW factor because it's bright and open and white. It's a restaurant and food market offering a variety of cultural cuisines. We all agreed that the food was beautifully presented and flavorful. On this particular day, it was grill night. They had a few steak options available. Our waiter, Christian was terrific giving us recommendations along the way and making sure his team followed his direction. We first ordered drinks and appetizers. Each appetizer was shared: we had the 4oz burrata, Parma prosciutto, tomato confit, balsamic glaze. It was luscious. Others had the salmon carpaccio and Roasted beets, goat cheese, sliced oranges, sliced almonds, orange dressing. All were delicious. The entrees we ordered were: Pappardelle $38.00 Wild mix mushroom, truffle infused olive oil. Entraña $39.00 Marinated prime skirt steak, served with sweet baked potato, chimichurri dip. Ahi tuna* $35.00 Sesame seed crust, avocado spread, citrus soy sauce, grilled seasonal vegetables. Of course we ordered desserts. We had to experience it all. And every dessert was spectacular. For the first time we tried the Trufata Narbona $12.00 Pistachio Gelato trufata stuffed with Narbona Dulce de leche, topped with dulce de leche spread and crushed pistachios. "Outrageous ". Others had the tiramisu and profiteroles. One was as good as the next. The only negative to the entire experience was the noise factor. It was next to impossible to hear each other talk. Because of the high ceiling and openness of the space, it would be hard to correct this. So my recommendation would be to go to a more intimate venue if you are meeting for the first time. We rated our experience 4.5 stars - not bad. And we would definitely return. read more
