This week my connection started dropping at least 50% of packets. I called right away on Wednesday morning at 9am. They said the ONT needed to be replaced and that they would ship one out to me that day and that I should expect it the next day. I asked if I could pick it up, or any other option to not be down for a day and they said there wasn't. They shipped the ONT UPS Ground Saver from Santa Rosa, it won't be here until Friday at 9pm at the earliest so I called back twice and they said there was nothing they would do to help me. They also said that if the ONT doesn't resolve the issue I would have to wait for a tech appointment which would be another few days. --- Update: Sonic came through and dispatched a great technician, Guillermo, today who brought a new ONT and did extra work to make sure everything was working. I'm back online and very happy again.

Multiple employees walk around doing nothing while only one person actually assists customers. Even people with appointments get stuck waiting. The sales pitch always makes it sound like the phone is basically free -- just a small monthly payment -- but surprise fees show up on the next bill that were never mentioned. This has happened to me multiple times. Whenever I have questions about my account or billing, they refuse to help and just tell me to call customer service. Other customers waiting in line look just as frustrated as I am. And when people leave negative reviews, the manager always replies with the same generic, copy-and-paste response you see everywhere: "customer service is our top priority", "we have high standards" and "we strive for excellence." It feels completely scripted and changes nothing. Many customers seem to be having the same disappointing experience. Once I find a way to close my line or switch to another carrier, I will do it in a heartbeat.

I have rarely (if ever?) written a review. But this company…read moredeserves a more recent review than what I see. I have had their residential ISP service since at least 2007. I continue to be impressed by their installers, their customer support staff, and their ever-improving offerings. Just today, I received a free speed and equipment upgrade, combined with a reduced monthly fee, as part of a company initiative. This continues a long-established pattern of continual improvements, something Valley Internet really seems committed to. Because rural broadband pricing and speed have historically lagged urban& suburban options, I have frequently explored other providers, but every time I ended up keeping this superior service. And my Circle Oaks neighbors seem to agree overwhelmingly.

The employees need to understand that when they are mumbling data speak to customers, that... 1. The music in the store is too loud and distracting. It's hard to understand you. Don't just tell me stuff. Answer me clearly. 2. I don't speak data speak/T-Mobile speak. Please explain your terms, don't just repeat them. You went to school to learn these terms. I didn't. I'm just a normal guy off the street. 3. Turn off the ringing phone alarms that are signaling a phone is out of place. I know that you are all used to working with phone alarms going off. To me, that is a distraction. 4. Tell me ahead of time that the process is going to take well over two hours. I could have scheduled out the time, instead of being told that I could take a walk and come back later. You would complain if you ordered dinner and then had to wait two hours to be served. That's how I felt. Corporate management needs to train their employees to be more than salesmen and technical advisers. Courtesy and respect would go a long way in bringing back customers.

I needed the Internet to keep up with the latest treatments, view online medical seminars, stay in touch with care providers and concerned friends, and look up research and information. Previously, I had considered two other companies, but I was unhappy with the way their customer service worked with me. It was only until a neighbor mentioned Valley of the Moon (noting that some of my trusted friends used VOM, too) that I decided to give them a call. Best move I could have made. David and his brother, Michael, came out, met my landlord, evaluated what was needed and came back as soon as they had what they needed. They installed it and I've had no problem. What REALLY impressed me was their honesty and fair play. That is so hard to find in today's "dog eat dog" economy. They were affordable even with my limited budget and they had no usage restrictions like the other companies. This had made my life easier, less stressful and I can move forward.

There was a $25 charge to download data? Not true. They accessed my account and added 3 services that they never spoke to me about - I learned only in a text driving home. Not only that, they blatantly told a mistruth that the $25/month was then for the data!!! It is for a program that is called Home Tech that they get commission on! I have had all removed, contrary to what they shared, by AT&T. I have taken the next step to report them as a dishonest franchise. You cannot do business in this unprofessional, dishonest manner.
