I think the prices are high but the portion is big and you get chips and salsa which is built into the price so makes the price fair. I like the beef with egg and with extra cheese plate. I like cheese. My buddies gets the taco salad which is good and also the pizza which is pricey but very good. Happy hour is great hear. It's our go to spot. Sundays is half price pitchers of beer and house margarita. We Uber ourselves over so we can partake in this fun Sunday experience. The good: came with lots of chips and salsa (I could Imagine the waste from each table tho). The carnitas was tasty. The bad: service! The server looks pretty annoyed being there. When it came to placing order for the kids (my son wanted bacon, egg on his kid's bean burro), she was less than friendly and helpful. My son ended up ordered bean burro added steak and eggs. My daughter wanted kid' bean burro. When the orders came, my son's bean burro had no beans but just steak and eggs. My husband gave him his side of bean in the burro. We thought the server misunderstood my order. Then came the bill, it showed 2 kids' bean burro, 1 added steak and eggs with extra cost. When I told her that the one bean burro didn't have bean but just steak and egg, she replied "oh sorry, I can't do anything about it" and when I said "my son thought I misordered" she then replied "what do you want me to do about it?" ... all I wanted was a sincere apology instead of feeling dismissed AFTER less than friendly and helpful when we ordered. it's been quite a few years since i have gone to nando's (the one in gilbert) so we decided to check out the newer location in queen creek. we came on a saturday around 6pm and the wait was about 40 minutes, it was the dinner rush so they were busy. the restaurant was at a normal noise level, normal rush time sounds. the complimentary chips and salsa were just as remembered, a yummy starter for what you get. both my boyfriend and i ordered the el numero uno (two tacos, rice and beans). these also tasted the same as before, it was good and the portion size was nice - food was reasonable priced, not too crazy. service was okay too. it's nice to have this location closer than the other and will be back in the future. read more

This place was GREAT! They were extremely busy, but the service was still on point and amazing. The food came out really fast, and the flavor and taste was great. We are from Houston TX and have amazing choices for Mexican food - so we can tend to be pretty picky. But this definitely reached our standards. The portions are HUGE. Had dinner here last night with friends and it was my second time eating here. Called ahead to see what the wait time was and was told 25 minutes. We head to the restaurant, get there, & they got us right in! We had a really funny, very hardworking waiter. He cracked us up with his wit and wisdom of the restaurant and the menu choices. He checked on us a lot once we had beverages. Our food was amazing and two out of the three of us had leftovers! I had the Sonoran Enchiladas, which are my favorite! They were soooooooo good! I wanted to love this place, had a great viben& location. Everyone was happy, and it was very busy for a Thursday afternoon. The shrimp on the fajitas was quite possibly the best I've ever had, but the rest of the experience was just OK. My husband had the green chili pork speciality and said it was ok. It was very very loud inside, hard to have a conversation. Which makes it a great place to bring kids but hard to enjoy relaxation. Service was good, waitress was attentive, and nice. You can pay for your meal right at the table. Kid's quesadillas were not cooked all the way, so they didn't eat much. Probably won't be back, unless maybe to try happy hour. read more

The only thing I really did not like was the taco salad, it was very basic and boring with only 3 included ingredients. Lettuce, chicken and cheese. I guess I should have read the menu on that one. Went to this restaurant and first of all we waited 10 minutes at the door while I believe it was the manager at the end of the bar talking to a gentleman. We were seated and given water and menus by a very nice server. We ordered our food and it took 15 minutes to arrive. This is where the review starts. Food arrived and my burrito was burrito tortilla was unheated, meat was over cooked, cold and tough as leather. The other order was cold, very spicy, and the vegetables were cold as well. The server passed by several times for refills and at no time did she ask or check how the food was. At the end of our meal, she came and asked how it was. I told her what the problem was and had she come and checked, I would have told her. She snapped at me stating she came for refills and said I didn't tell her. When she returned to the table, she put the bill on the table and said I gave you 50% off the whole bill and walked away. This was not about the 50% off and I was very upset and paid and left without any further correspondence. It has been over 5 years since I went there and I understand there are new owners and just want to say, it was terrible both the food and the attitude of the server, although she was nice and pleasant, did not do her job correctly. My burrito was ice cold, overcooked, dry as a piece of leather, and the tortilla was not even heated or grilled, pico and dry meat was the whole meal. I will not return as it has not changed after 5 years, new owners, and poor food quality and temperature. Good luck, maybe your food will be better if you go. read more

Server Alexandria was also kinda rude. Food was great, but make it clear if you want to the Happy Hour food and drinks, even you say and point it out, they still charge you the full price. We really had a craving for fajitas. Went to the Nandos on McKellips. Sat there 25 minutes and never saw a waiter. We walked out. But .. we still wanted fajitas. We drove the 9 miles south to the Nandos on Baseline/ValVista. They gotta be better, right. Maybe it was just a fluke. Spoiler Alert .. it wasn't. Sat at the table a long time .. chip guy brings chips. We ask him for water. He says the waiter will be by. He doesn't get the water. Finally after 15 minutes (was watching the clock after our first experience at the other place) the waiter stops by. We were 30 seconds away from walking out AGAIN. So we order the fajitas. Salsa was empty, water getting low. Some food runner brought out the fajitas about 20 mins after we ordered. Waiters never check back. Never refilled our drinks. Never brought more salsa. Fajitas had 5 chunks of chicken. Finally with half a bite left the waiter rolls by. It had been 38 mins since he took the order. I just asked for the check. Never got more water. Couldn't wait to get out of this place. We have never had such apathetic service... ESPECIALLY when you factor in the first Nandos experience where we never even saw a waiter. On top of that the fajitas were pretty disappointing too. I'd put up with crappy service if the food was awesome. But it wasn't. And the server never checked back to ask how it was sonwe could say something. No need to ever go back here. Try anyplace else. Seriously. I'm not just some wacky complainer. read more

It took me a long time to love this place. I had tried it once or twice but was on a diet at the time and just ordered the wrong thing. With this place like most Mexican spots you've gotta be "all in" and order what u REALLY want. The chips and salsa are fantastic and I can't say enough about the deep fried ice cream that came covered in honey, strawberries and whipped cream. For my entree I ordered one of the daily lunch specials that contained a bean tostada, shredded beef taco and cheese enchilada. To my delight the enchi sauce and cheese were bubbling as the plate was put before me. The tostada got soggy but the beans were good and the shredded beef taco was perfection. To drink I had the Santa's Little Helper margarita and that was delish, sweet and sour with cranberry. The service was hit and run. Knew everything on the menu and what was in it, spicy, or not spicy, as well as what is vegetarian friendly. I got my stand by, veggie fajitas and my friend got the Nando's Carne Asada. I have a new fav Mexican restaurant! Recently I went to Nardo's with 14 others from my community. The average age of all the ladies was 78. Tina was our server. She was wonderful. I've been to lots of dinners out with "the girls" and normally orders are mixed up and it takes a long time before we see our food. Not at this place! We were in and out in about 1.5 hours. I ordered a folded quisida (I know that's not how you spell it but that's as close as I can get). It was like a small fajata. It was wonderful. My only issue is the size of the onion, peppers and steak. They need to be cut into smaller pieces. I especially liked Nardo's because they serve an entree without rice and beans. I do not eat either and I hate paying for something I do not touch. Best deal is the 3-6 p.m. appetizer menu. I took some of it home for today's lunch. What a huge disappointment! We tried this place for the first time and won't be returning. It started with bottled La Victoria Salsa, and the guacamole we ordered wasn't even made fresh, tasted processed frozen type. I had a happy hour Margarita, which tasted like a sweet Costco mix, and then I tried a Cadillac Margarita hoping would be better, wrong! It was also a sweet, unpleasant mess with very little tequila. We ordered chicken and steak fajitas, and although the portion was large, we were looking for quality, not quantity. The steak had a weird flavor, and the chicken was simply gross and dried out.
