Finally got to try Garcia's out! Heard good things from a friend so decided to take a drive to see if it was as great as she had said!! Walking in I loved the decoration on the walls, very fun vibrate and full of culture! The hostess was very kind and accommodating. The waitress who's been there for well over 20 years was extremely sweet and friendly! Loved the extra big bowl of chips with the side of spicy bean dip and some good chunky salsa! Also the cups they give your drinks in are extra large too!! I ordered the #3! Big plate but I wanted options and to see what I liked best! Everything on my plate was very tasty! Loved it all My friend ordered a taco and enchilada plate well my son got a bean burrito and rice and beans on the side! They loved their plates too! We will definitely be back and I do recommend this place!

We've been here twice so far & both times the food has been fantastic. The first time we came we ate in restaurant, however this last time we decided to order pick up and eat at a relatives house. Everything was ready quickly, from the point of ordering to when we arrived to grab the food it took about 15 minutes for them to make an order for seven people. Everyone was happy with their food, it was hot, delicious and full of flavor. I can be pretty picky when it comes to chicken at restaurants, but I found it to be cooked perfectly. In fact they have one of my favorite dishes from Mexican restaurants I've tried here in AZ, I love their Pollo Fundido. We also received chips & salsa with our to go order. Everything was a good serving size, many of the dishes come with two sides. I like the consistency of the refried beans they serve, a lot of mexican restaurants tend to serve refried beans that are too thick, not cooked all the way through and don't really have a lot of flavor, but I like the beans they have here. They also have black beans or charro beans if you want something other than refried beans. The chocolate mini chimis were amazing too! It was a nice way to cap off a delicious meal with family.

This was quite an average Mexican food experience. The service was okay, it took a while for us to get our order taken, for our food to get there, but it took a while for us to get the check. There was a little kiosk think at the table, but they didn't tell us we could use it to pay until like 20 minutes after we finished eating. The vibe is fine, nothing crazy inside. I ordered a burrito with green Chile (which is pork but it doesn't tell you that on the menu). It came with rice and beans, and it was all super average. I would probably not go back because if I'm going to go out to eat and pay for a meal, I want it to be at least really good. I did like that they gave you chips and salsa when you sit down. I will not return, in hopes I can find really good Mexican food elsewhere.

I usually come here on my lunch break bc I work right next to the restaurant and I swear every time they give me such small amount of fries everytime. I'm going to stop going here lol

Good Morning Yelpers, When Family comes to town one of our favorite restaurants is Garcia's the atmosphere and the decor fits the picture to have a great dining experience. We sat in the patio to enjoy the happy hour specials. Or server did a great job. Went a 5:30 not a long wait to set our table up. They take just walk ins when I called to ask for a party if 5. Food was prepared perfect, not even a long wait to be served. Parking lot has plenty of room

We had not been to Garcia's in a long time--maybe 15 years??? We decided to give it another try, and came early, around 5:00. It was already busy and we were told it would be about 25 minutes for our group of 6. It's only took about 10 minutes and we got a table in the cantina. I suspected that there would be an older crowd at that time of day and, boy, was I right! It's was mainly the over 65 crowd, both sitting at the bar and in the dining room. As we were leaving a little later, it did look like like younger families and couples were arriving. We ordered margaritas, which were on the happy hour menu and only $7. They were good. We also got complimentary chips with salsa and bean dip. Yummy. We all got different items, and everyone was happy with their food. I will say that for the prices, the portions are huge! Half of us brought home at least half of our meals.

Great lunch specials here today. We had a very nice dining experience outside on the patio with excellent service from Tasha & others. The giant bowl of chips & 2 salsas were nice! We loved everything we had, especially the Albondigas cup of soup, the Big Dawg Dos Equis Amber tap, and Pepsi products for my only Pepsi product loving friends.

Due to the fact that Garcia isn't very close to where I'm located. It's been quite a while since I've visited. I'm glad I did tonight. I forgot how good their bean dip and salsa is and how big their bowl of chips are. I ordered a cheese crisp to start, which was great. The cheese had a very good flavor and it was nice and crispy, but not super oily like a lot of other places for my entrée I ordered the three item combo of my choice which consisted of a green chili burrito, a green corn, tamale, and a chile relleno. I think my favorite was the green chili burrito. The corn tamale was good, but it was very very dense. The chili was great as well. Our server was extremely helpful, nice, and made sure we had everything we needed. It's nice and bright in the interior And from what I saw it was very clean as well. I will most definitely be coming back more often. I had a great experience.

The chips and bean dip are FABULOUS!! Music made me feel like I was in a country disco bar. My ears would have been ringing when I left except I already have tinnitus from loud music.. there were kids in the booth in front of me and I actually thought about accusing the dad of child abuse‍

We have been regular customers of this Garcias for most family birthday outings. However, either I am growing more attentive to mistakes, or this Garcias is getting sloppy. We were surprised when we walked in on a Friday night around 6pm and there was no wait for our party of 4. They led us to a roomy booth where it felt we waited FOREVER to be recognized by a server. Our drink order was submitted and fulfilled before we even got the chips and salsa/bean dip. One member of our party asked for an Arnold Palmer, but got straight unsweet tea (which yes can be an honest mistake, but our server didn't give us too friendly of an impression, hence our hesitation to bring up the drink error). Later while snacking on my chips, I found a hair on them :( I am not one to make a big deal out of these things, it was very tiny and did not seem like a head hair (honestly was tiny and straight and thin, reminding me of a dog hair), but I waved the chip around to make sure it wasn't one of mine and sure enough, it was stuck to the chip. Anyways, my plate of two street tacos, rice and beans ($15.99) was pretty bland. Again, I am NOT super high maintenance and picky but I expect my Mexican to be flavorful. The chicken seemed unseasoned. The rice and beans were fine. Some things to note, is that they do NOT take checks, add gratuity to parties larger than 8 or more, and (NEW!) will charge someone $6.99 if they come in for the free chips/salsa and don't buy any menu items. We usually have great experiences at this Garcias, so maybe it was just an off night for them. We will probably return!!!

Always a great meal and good service. This is me and my boyfriend's favorite quick Mexican spot to eat. It's close to our home and it's reasonably priced. The pollo fundido is the best and we love watching our football games while we eat in the cantina

Authentic Mexican food sounded perfect and I knew good things were in store when I arrived at 11:30am on a Friday and all of inside and outside tables were full. The inside is quaint but has quite a few tables. They also have tables out front in the shade (to call it patio seating may be a stretch, just simple tables and chairs on the exterior of the entrance). You order your food at the counter and I didn't study the menu ahead of time but the ladies taking my order were patient with me. I ordered a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Nothing fancy for my first time as it's hard to golf on a full stomach! I found the only open table and then hit up the salsa bar. They have 4 or 5 different salsas/hot sauces and a few other goodies. I got a small cup of each sauce and all of them were quite good. My food was colorful, flavorful and just the right away to give me some energy without being lethargic. I could go on about a few other nice things but it seems most of East Mesa already knows about this place given the high scores on Yelp from a lot of reviewers. Nothing to prevent me from giving a 5* review at this time. I look forward to trying some more dishes in the future.

I'm posting this review for two reasons - The first being because the manager passed the restaurant phone over to the supposed "owner" after I called within five minutes of getting home to tell them the chips and taco shells tasted like they were fried in old, rancid oil. The manager told me she could offer a credit and when I said I would prefer the refund to my card is when she went to get the "owner". I'm fairly sure I wasn't an asshole to her. I was pretty peeved at this point because we're talking about almost $16 of the $49.11 which was the cost of the food I ordered before tax and tip. I work in the service industry/for tips too so I get it. I'm well aware of the price increase of everything everywhere!!! Before going to Ritos I waited in a line of 10 cars at Sam's Club for gas and gas was $49.65. So there's that. The "owner" also reiterated that a refund would only be given if I brought the food back. I'm sorry, but, I live 15 minutes away from Mesa Riverview. My employer was 30 minutes from the restaurant. I sure as f*ck wasn't going to get my ass back in my car and drive back to Ritos to give them shitty tacos and chips. They told me they would offer a credit for next time for chips and 2 tacos - and I guess that's acceptable but my question is - how are you going to provide that when you don't have my number or an email address for me? And aren't chips typically complimentary at a Mexican food restaurant when you dine in? The manager had the audacity to say that the oil was changed, the chips and tacos are cooked in different vats, the cost of meat has gone up and "everyone is feeling it." That's quite the level of audacity. I'm to the point where I don't give a about your credit and if I want Ritos I'll drive even more out of my way to the Garfield or 7th Street location. I'm more pissed off about the "owner's" attitude than I am about the $2.55 chips I threw in the trash. And the taco shells didn't taste too rancid drowning the inside in salsa. My mother was in her bedroom in the back of the house (I was in the kitchen) and just told me she could hear the owner yelling at me and what a sh*tty way to do business. Keep your credit, I won't be back to your locatiom to dine in OR take food to go. PS - Change your raunchy ass oil. As you said, consumers pay *way too much* to get home with a To Go order to have to throw it away because oil isn't changed frequently enough.
