Peri-Peri chicken (4 boneless chicken thighs) with mashed potatoes and spicy rice
    Josh R.

This was my first time here. I got the Peri-Peri Chicken 4 boneless chicken thighs with mashed potatoes and spicy rice. I got it Hot, and it had a little bit of a kick to it. The chicken was very good, and the spicy rice was delicious! I liked trying the different spices. It's easy to order the food from your phone, and then they bring it out to your table. I recommend this place!

Awesome service and great environment to enjoy a nice chicken meal. Nandos is delicious, clean and friendly. Definitely give this place a try!

This place got a lot of hype from all the Americans who told me to try it out, but I think I had too high of expectations. The chicken was good, but nothing I would want to eat every week. For fast food, it's pretty great, because it's not fried like everything here in the US. But other than that there's nothing that makes it stand out really. All the different flavors of dressing is pretty shwae I will say, but I couldn't find one that meshed well with my chicken. I think the spicy chicken may have been the way to go instead of the lemon herb...

For a chain in London, the high ceilings and domed windows overlooking the Thames river was still impressive. If you're looking for flavor in London, don't miss this chain. Not comparable to an American chicken chain (but maybe like an upscale Chick fil a because of its beloved sauces and service, if I had to pick one), the food here is Portuguese-African fusion, using African birdeye chilies as the primary ingredient in their sauces. Big portions, a variety of sides, and a quirky way of ordering makes this place a must. My food was so flavorful, I chose spicy rice and broccoli over fries and didn't regret it. The sauces themselves were relatively diverse in flavor and thick, and if you like spicy food you'll love it here. Try to seat yourself near a window if you come to this location, I would even call ahead and see if they can reserve a table for you. The place was really nice and the bottomless drinks was cool, but only coke worked from the machine; everything else was just carbonated water which sucked. We got a large meal to share between a family. We got lemon and bbq chicken with sides of corn on the cob, bread, rice, mashed potatoes and broccoli. The meal all in all was delicious and the staff was so nice. Great place would def come here again

As a first-timer, I found the ordering process was not self-explanatory. You first need to be assigned a table number. Then you order at the counter and tell them your table number. When your food is ready, it is to be delivered to your assigned table. Not knowing this, we queued up at the register first and the register person asked us for our table number. Luckily, she was able to ask one of her colleagues to assign us a table, so that we did not have to go back to the end of the line. Mr. Joy and I had heard of Nando's and have been curious about the S. African fast casual chain that specializes in Portuguese-style chicken. So when we came upon a Nando's, we had to try the peri-peri chicken. At the front of the line, I noticed a platter of pasteis de nata, or Portuguese egg custard tarts. As a fan of egg tarts, I had to try a pastel de nata. They simply take one straight from the platter and give it to you on a plate. It was very flaky, sweet, and buttery. However, I do wish that it was warm, or more fresh. Benson's Raspberry and Lime Cider: Cold, sweet, refreshing, and goes well with chicken Chicken Wings - Plain, Medium, Mango & Lime: I appreciate that they label the flavor of the chicken with little flags on tooth picks. But it would be nice if they put tooth picks on every piece of chicken, since we ordered three different flavors. The chicken itself was nice and juicy with a smokey flavor. The Mango & Lime flavor was just a tad sweet and tart. However, some of the chicken was burnt. I like a nice char, but I couldn't get past the strong burnt flavor on some parts of the chicken. 1/4 Chicken w/ Spicy Rice and Garlic Bread: First of all, we ordered Lemon & Herb, but somehow received Mango & Lime. The flavor was okay, but it was rather dry. The spicy rice was not bad, not too spicy. The garlic bread was simply grilled, garlicky pita, also a tad burnt and a little cold. Lastly, there were quite a few sauces to try, but I didn't love them. The worst part of the meal was when a busboy was cleaning up the table next to us. It is great that he takes the initiative to clean a table immediately after it becomes vacant, but he sprayed the disinfectant so vigorously that some of it splashed on us. Great as a cleaning agent. Terrible as a flavoring agent. Nando's was fun for us to try, since we had never had it before. Plus, it was quite affordable. The chicken was okay, but didn't blow us away, nor did the other items we ordered. Perhaps it is more satisfying to try in S. Africa, or maybe Portugal.

Had heard good things, but didn't live up to the hype. Staff seat you at a table and then you go to the counter to order which is a bit confusing at first. The halloumi cheese sticks are fine when they first arrive but get cold and hard fast. Chicken was ok, better dressed up with one of the help-yourself sauces. Sides of peas, spinach and chickpeas, butternut squash and sweet potatoes were all just ok. Not a place to return to.

While visiting the London, our British hosts raved about Nandos! This location is really cool because it's built along the river bank, using the previous industrial structure. The chicken is grilled to a juicy perfection. They have an array of sauces that compliments the chicken nicely. The spicy rice was okay but the ratatoulle was very bland and mushy.

I came here for lunch yesterday as I was craving for spicy food. Everyone I know gave a very good reviews about the place hence decided to give it a try. The food is sooo amazing. I loved the food and seasoning they had. I wish they have this in United States but this one was the best chicken I ever had with this seasoning. I love my meat bone in so I ordered 1/4 chicken level hot Garlic bread on side Peri peri chips on side But later server informed that bone-in chicken is sold out and they can instead give chicken breast or thigh with same preparations. I was little disappointed but I asked them to replace it with chicken thigh. It was so tasty!!! I also had extra hot sauce and garlic sauce on the side. The food is delicious and if you love to eat then it's must try place. I will go one of these days to try that bone in one but yeah all 5 stars are for food!!

Being extremely hungry, my friends and I were looking for a place that's not too expensive but filling and yummy. We decided to check out this cool looking restaurant and was very happy about the experience. We got seated in the upper level so that was pretty cool because you get a really good view of the entire restaurant and it is more private and quiet from the rest of the place. I got the chicken burger and it was quite delicious. Although, it was kind of small for what I was paying for. The sauce was definitely the best part of the sandwich. My table also got the unlimited frozen yogurt as dessert so we were grubbing on that afterwards. All my friends from the states wish Nando is in the US, too!

I always forget about this place when I'm making dinner plans but it's really good food. I love this particular branch of the chain though because it's designed to fit in with the surrounding buildings, using arches and bare brick work like in the clink beside it. The food is always good here, last time I went with my friend we both got a chicken burger with fries and she got a corn on the cob as well. The corn was a little dry but everything else was delicious. What makes Nandos unique is that they can serve restaurant quality Portuguese food at below restaurant level prices because they have eliminated waiter service, making it a kind of gourmet fast food restaurant. You're seated when you arrive, then you go to the counter to order your food, and they deliver it to your table once it's cooked. You also help yourself to drinks and cutlery. It costs £5.80 for a chicken fillet with fries, and a side order of corn was £1.70. Unlimited drinks cost £1.90 which is brilliant as I usually order a few cokes at dinner. If helping yourself to drinks and forks means getting such delicious food for this price I hope the good word will spread to all the overpriced restaurants in town!

We came here for a quick lunch and it was very fulfilling. The lemon & herbs flavor is a delicious companion for the wings. There're a variety of sauce available for you to try freely. I would recommend Nando's to anyone who hasn't had it before.

Also, I was pleased to read that they had vegan fish! The kid and husband shared some regular fish and chips and I had the vegan variety. I think the kid and husband liked their selection quite all right, but it wasn't anything stupendous. Like, it didn't "beat" any of the fish and chips they previously had in the United States but we didn't expect it to. My vegan fish was a tad creepy, not going to lie, but that's likely because I don't often consume vegan fish. It had a flaky texture, attempting to be reminisce of fish with a slight seafoody flavor. It was served with tartar sauce, which I assumed was not vegan, so I opted for ketchup. The chips were decent short chunky bites of potato. I decided to take my leftovers back to the hotel and as you might expect, they were not very delectable once they were cold, hah. As expected, everything was really fried and greasy, because duh but everything came out quickly and piping hot. Our server was pretty attentive and prompt, which I appreciated. This is sort of between a 3 and a 4 stars for me, but I'm rounding up to a 4 as it's not often that I have the opportunity to consume vegan fish.

Overall, it was a bit of a let down as I really wanted some memorable Fish N Chips whilst in London.

I wanted something with at least one good veggie option, they wanted something with meat, and it had to be somewhere in-between Camden and Canary Wharf, not too pricey, and ideally close to the city because otherwise our Italian friend probably wouldn't make it. And lo and behold.... THE FAT BEAR!!! It was all we wanted and more! This place is sort of tucked away and up some stairs above a pub. It's really just a room and a half, which makes it super cozy and they have a pretty awesome looking bar. It's got warm lighting which makes the atmosphere really nice. Their cocktails were delightful and the service was excellent. I will make a very strange observation that someone working there had a very drunk friend who just sort of made herself at home. Then more joined and it turned into me watching this table of really really drunk people trying to order food. Two of them ended up just falling asleep. It was super strange. Anyway, me being distracted aside, I really loved the cocktail I ordered- Sloe Boat To China, and everyone else seemed happy with theirs. I was dying to try the pimiento cheese starter and the fried pickles. The cheese was particularly sharp and delicious. The pickles were good, but quite skinny (I mean come on, you're in an American restaurant I was expecting some serious pickles). The vegan gumbo was super spicy and delicious. I was impressed and enjoyed it. My husband dropped the ball and ordered the regular jambalaya (with sausage) rather than the seafood one which broke my heart a little bit, because I really wanted to try it. You know, I guess that means we'll just have to come back. Oh also another bonus, this place has brisket which is really hard to find. I can't say how it tastes but my friend said he defo approves (am I becoming more British with these words, or just more annoying?) Anyway, to finish it off I had the oreo cheesecake which the bomb. I love oreos. And it tasted like oreo. So all was right with the world. A wonderful place to come if you have people who want to try American food, or if you have out of town Americans who are too scared to try other food, or if you have hungry friends that want to try cajun food, or if you just want to try some really yummy food.
