Peri peri chicken medium heat, corn, mashed potatoes

The US needs a chain like this. Fresh chicken and food and overall good service. This place is by a train station so it gets a lot of traffic.

Nando's is the chicken place that you'll find all over London. They're great and relatively fast. If you're sitting in, they'll assign you a table. You'll have to go to the register and order, just make sure you have the correct table number. After that, you can pick up your drink and wait for the food to arrive at your assigned table. But let's not skip over the best part about Nando's, the peri peri sauce. You can help yourself to one of the many flavors and spice intensities of peri peri and make it rain on your plate. The portion size are not huge but it's enough food especially with the sides. I particularly enjoyed the spinach. The service is pretty decent but will be slower during peak lunch hours. Overall enjoyable and recommended.

45 minute wait. Place looked empty and saw 2 people leave with empty table and we couldn't be seated. This location is bad. See my View.

You can never go wrong with a cheeky Nando's, especially for a late night meal. This location is great because of its late hours when all food places are closed (except for those late night kebab stands and McDonald's). It's conveniently located right across from King's Cross Station, so you can literally hop off a late night train and enjoy some rotisserie chicken.

Always a favorite of mine when I go to South Africa or the UK. Great chicken, great sauces. Try the hot garlic sauce. You can even find the sauces in most stores in the US. Spicy rice is good to, though not really spicy. Give it a try when you find one!

Nando's is a must while in London. The wings and chicken were very flavorful and juicy. The salads were pretty fresh and the peas were cooked just right. The variety of dipping sauces allows you to add different heat to your already flavorful chicken.

First time at Nando's and it was pretty good! I thought it was an interesting experience in having to get your own drinks, etc. I really liked the chicken and fries, but my only complaint is the price in relation to the chicken thighs, it's the same price as the half chicken and if I knew at the time that the thighs were that small, I would've gotten the latter. Besides that we had a pleasant experience and the food had a nice spice to it.

    First timer!

Also, I was pleased to read that they had vegan fish! The kid and husband shared some regular fish and chips and I had the vegan variety. I think the kid and husband liked their selection quite all right, but it wasn't anything stupendous. Like, it didn't "beat" any of the fish and chips they previously had in the United States but we didn't expect it to. My vegan fish was a tad creepy, not going to lie, but that's likely because I don't often consume vegan fish. It had a flaky texture, attempting to be reminisce of fish with a slight seafoody flavor. It was served with tartar sauce, which I assumed was not vegan, so I opted for ketchup. The chips were decent short chunky bites of potato. I decided to take my leftovers back to the hotel and as you might expect, they were not very delectable once they were cold, hah. As expected, everything was really fried and greasy, because duh but everything came out quickly and piping hot. Our server was pretty attentive and prompt, which I appreciated. This is sort of between a 3 and a 4 stars for me, but I'm rounding up to a 4 as it's not often that I have the opportunity to consume vegan fish.

Like a crispy greasy sponge of water and oil if I gad to describe it. I doused it with so much vinegar to get it to taste like something it was soggy. The staff wasn't very helpful, non attentive... never brought our drinks. The space was very bright and cramped... not very comfortable, rather utilitarian. Overall, it was a bit of a let down as I really wanted some memorable Fish N Chips whilst in London.

I wanted something with at least one good veggie option, they wanted something with meat, and it had to be somewhere in-between Camden and Canary Wharf, not too pricey, and ideally close to the city because otherwise our Italian friend probably wouldn't make it. And lo and behold.... THE FAT BEAR!!! It was all we wanted and more! This place is sort of tucked away and up some stairs above a pub. It's really just a room and a half, which makes it super cozy and they have a pretty awesome looking bar. It's got warm lighting which makes the atmosphere really nice. Their cocktails were delightful and the service was excellent. I will make a very strange observation that someone working there had a very drunk friend who just sort of made herself at home. Then more joined and it turned into me watching this table of really really drunk people trying to order food. Two of them ended up just falling asleep. It was super strange. Anyway, me being distracted aside, I really loved the cocktail I ordered- Sloe Boat To China, and everyone else seemed happy with theirs. I was dying to try the pimiento cheese starter and the fried pickles. The cheese was particularly sharp and delicious. The pickles were good, but quite skinny (I mean come on, you're in an American restaurant I was expecting some serious pickles). The vegan gumbo was super spicy and delicious. I was impressed and enjoyed it. My husband dropped the ball and ordered the regular jambalaya (with sausage) rather than the seafood one which broke my heart a little bit, because I really wanted to try it. You know, I guess that means we'll just have to come back. Oh also another bonus, this place has brisket which is really hard to find. I can't say how it tastes but my friend said he defo approves (am I becoming more British with these words, or just more annoying?) Anyway, to finish it off I had the oreo cheesecake which the bomb. I love oreos. And it tasted like oreo. So all was right with the world. A wonderful place to come if you have people who want to try American food, or if you have out of town Americans who are too scared to try other food, or if you have hungry friends that want to try cajun food, or if you just want to try some really yummy food.
