First Time at Nando's -- Blown Away! This was my very first time trying Nando's, and wow -- I genuinely didn't expect to be this impressed. The chicken was absolutely next-level -- juicy, packed with flavour, and grilled to perfection. I finally understand the hype around peri-peri! The sides were just as good, especially the spicy rice. But what truly made the experience unforgettable were Jay and Shrenik. They were phenomenal -- friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had the best first experience possible. They walked us through the menu, gave great recommendations, and checked in just the right amount. You don't often get service like that, especially at a casual spot. This was the first place we dined at upon arriving in London. It was recommended by my brother-in-law and boy was I disappointed. We were immediately seated and the place was almost packed. You have to order and pay at the counter. We got the boneless platter with a side of coleslaw, mashed potatoes, garlic bread and fries. There were different sauce selection to choose from. The chicken was dry and mediocre. The food portion was not for sharing. I'm not sure if it's the branch or it was like that everywhere but I didn't enjoy my dinner. read more

Located in part of the Brunswick Center, I called at this branch of Nando's with it being one of the closest stores to the Hilton London Euston in which I was staying, before heading to watch my Manchester City defeat Chelsea 4-3 on penalties in the Carabao Cup. This is a slightly small Nando's store which with a glass exterior does look good from the outside, located in a large selection of restaurants in The Brunswick Centre. Nando's is really popular in London with around 9 other branches within a one-mile radius of this store, obviously, this store did have some good points, for example, the manager seemed really welcoming and friendly in helping me to my table and then taking my order with it being an allergy order. I liked how he took the allergy seriously by offering to check the allergy book, but being a regular at Nando's, I already knew what I could and could not eat so he didn't need to check the allergy book, for my food to then be presented with the same allergy sticker as my friend's (who ordered gluten containing items), it then confused me if they had even taken it seriously in the first place because the other order despite being labelled with "allergy order" had a food item containing the allergy. The store had a large number of tables, expected and needed for its location and was slightly narrow but it had basically everything you expected and needed in the Nando's. It is child-friendly, with children running around which I didn't like when trying to have a meal, despite sitting towards the back I still had children running around near my table which wasn't too great but I can't blame the restauraunt for that. When my food was served, the chicken looked to have a slightly darker sauce in the middle and it tasted hotter, I think I was given the hot sauce by mistake, it still tasted good which is why I didn't send it back, but mixing the two sauces which were obviously done without telling me was something I didn't like, they seemed to have run out of medium sauce in the middle of cooking it and seemed to adapt it which I didn't like. They also forgot the peri salt for my chips, I had to ask for extra which the staff had no problem quickly bringing. The overall store atmosphere could be better as well as the speed of ordering and knowledge of staff on allergies, decent food quality and a friendly manager are some of the store highlights but due to issues with the store atmosphere and sauce used, I feel the store deserves just a three-star rating which maybe could have been higher without the sauce incident and with better allergy handling to give me more confidence in eating the meal. read more

Great food, abhorrent service... The food really is awesome. The chicken is moist and has a great kick from the spice. The sides are tasty, well seasoned, and you can definitely get those rich African spices from them. The service on the other hand is really terrible. Was promptly seated late at night since there weren't that many patrons in the restaurant. I got up to order and when I came back the front of house had given my seat to a party that just walked in. Dude, you literally just seated me 5 minutes ago. I just moved over, so no big deal but it was just a tell tell sign of the service. As I ate, this guy walked around and around the restaurant so many times. Never once picked up any plates, talked to patrons, or refilled any water. Was like he was training for a track meet or something. The food is quite good, but the service is really terrible. There's a ton of other restaurants in this mall that are much better, so I would skip this place. read more

We came here yesterday lunch time. I haven't been to Nandos in a few years as they have removed their Vegan options. I am vegan and not plant based so options are limited. I was excited to see they have recently introduced their chickpea burger which is vegan. We arrived at the restaurant and it had the board outside for the chickpea burger. I was very excited to try this. We were taken to our seats and the waitress explained we need to order our food using the app. Everyone ordered their food and then it came to my turn. The chickpea burger was greyed out on the app and wasn't available :( . If it wasn't available why have the board outside? I was stuck as everyone had ordered their food so I had to make do with Hummus strips, chips and garlic bread. It was quite frankly a shopping lunch. The bottomless drinks were all flat. We tried all of the soft drinks. There was no forks in the cutlery section. The portion sizes were shockingly small. Not a great experience for anyone Vegan at this branch. I couldn't have the great imtimidator as it only comes in a wrap which has shellac and is not vegan. Furthermore the mock chicken strips are cooked on the same grill as chicken. So I'd never been to a Nando's before, as I generally stay away from (inter)national chain restaurants whenever possible, but I'd heard that Nando's had some good vegetarian options on its menu, and I do love all things spicy. The inside of this location actually surprised me. It had low, swanky lighting and clean, sturdy fixtures. And I sat atop comfortable, cushioney booth seating. In short, this Nando's had a really nice atmosphere. Plus, I always enjoy a bottomless glass of Coke. I would also enjoy a bottomless cup of frozen yogurt if only my digestive tract did as well. The menu did, indeed, have three whole vegetarian main options for me to choose from, which was a special treat. The peri peri sauces were tasty, especially the garlic one. Mmm... spicy garlic. All this said, however, the food is simply mediocre. The only thing that made my veggie burger stuffed into a ripped-up pitta along with some lettuce any good was the peri peri sauces I added to it. I might be interested in seeing if one of my two other options is better, but Robert D told me that his chicken (you know, what Nando's is known for) tasted similarly uninspiring to my veggie patty. Having being to Nando's elsewhere before it was one of the few places that were still open in the area on a Sunday night. We got in before closing and placed our orders, the chicken and sides came out no problem but when we tried to get sauces we were told that since they were closing we couldn't get any? After some English translation we were able to get one bottle, hmm, we paid for two chickens, 4 sides and 4+ beers, I would expect more a little better service than this. I went here because it was right next to my hotel, in my price range, and because I needed hot food nearby because my feet hurt so much. I ordered the 1/2 chicken to go along with the sides of fries and garlic bread. Everything I tasted was well flavored. Fries were meh though. Why did I give this 3 stars? My experience at Nando's was good... But I must say it was the first restaurant in the UK I've been to where "medium" had some heat! We've been in London for a month. The olive appetizer was tasty and the sangria was good. I couldn't decide between rice and chips, so i got them both with my 1/4 chicken (medium). The seasoning on the chicken was wonderful, and my rice and fries (with peri-peri salt) were good too. It was so spicy that I wished I'd ordered cole slaw or something for balance. The chicken here is just not very flavorful and extremely dry. Would not recommend. Fries were okay, but a bit plain as well. The gelato wasn't bad though. read more

This is a standard Nando's, but when I went on a Tuesday evening, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was totally packed! Service was still very cheerful and efficient, although when we sat down at our table it was still slightly sticky. Food took some time to arrive, but probably because they were packed. For a few years since I read about Nando's on Wikipedia I had been really curious to try this place. Naturally I was enthusiastic to see that there was one only a few minutes from where I was going to stay. Ironically, I only got to go here twice. But both times were well worth it. Also, it's open later (until 23:00/11pm) than other places at Brunswick. I found their servings to be quite generous, even though I only ordered the 1/4 chicken. Also, they aren't stingy with their sides either. I found the service to be friendly as well and the atmosphere a good mix of Western and African. read more

This place was recommended to us by our friend. You wait to be seated, then you make note of your table number, then you go to the counter and order. They will bring you your food once it has been ordered. The chicken is very tender and tasty. There are available sauces that your can bring to your table depending on how spicy you want them. If I want to satisfy my craving for spicy chicken, Nando's is where I'll go. Their 1/4 Peri-Peri chicken with two small sides for 6 pounds is usually just enough for me, though sometimes I go 1/2 chicken instead as I like chicken, but not so much their sides. The rice side is sometimes especially bland, but that's easily solved with Extra Hot Peri-Peri sauce. I would suggest getting a Bottomless soft drink for 1.90 pounds as you will need it if you accidentally put too much spicy sauce on your chicken. If you really can't take spicy though, don't worry as they have garlic Peri-Peri sauce as well. read more

It's always packed because it's in a tourist area but their management will be losing regular customers if they don't focus more on service. nothing too special about this nando's. i had actually tried nando's for the first time in the middle east, and they had this fabulous kabob thingy-bob that they serve with the skewered meat and veggie goodness hanging from its own stand, with a large heap of fries waiting at the bottom. sadly, the nando's i've encountered in the uk don't have this delicious meal. but overall, consistent chicken, seasoned well, the sweet potato mash as a side was decent, but the corn on the cob i had that day was a bit dry. i like my corn on the cob sweet, crunchy and juicy. this wasn't. maybe it had an off day. i wouldn't go out of my way to have this, but like many of my other restaurant choices, it's conveniently located between school and home, and its nicely priced. read more

The employees are friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and food was served promptly. This is not fine cuisine but for a chain restaurant it is not bad at all. The food is better quality than a fast food joint and a cheaper meal than most restaurarants. The decor is tasteful and the seating comfortable. The service - such as it is - is attentive. Half of a small chicken and a huge portion of fries with peri peri salt were probably a little more than I could comfortably manage but very tasty. Limitless soda was good value for a couple of quid. My only criticism was our table towards the rear of the restaurant. As the queue to order built up it snaked towards the back of the restaurant and past our booth. As a result we ate our meal hemmed in by other customers with our personal space being continually invaded by handbags, menus and elbows. If going back I would refuse one of these tables. read more

This place is surprisingly good for a chain restaurant. I only went here three times while I was in London, but I enjoyed my food each time. The chicken is always nicely seasoned, though the portions are usually fairly small, and it's fun to mix and match with the difference sauces.
