The service here was awesome. First time coming was thinking was going to be packed since it is Easter Sunday and line was going to be long. On the contrary the service seating process was on pint. It was busy but all the employees worked hard and kept the flow going. Server Irene was excellent and recommend asking for her if she is available. Had the shareable appetizers platter and also the main course shareable meal with meat and ribs, Didn't take many food pics but the only pic took was the coffee to end the dinner date. First, it's not ACTUALLY on Sand Lake Road. It's in a shopping center that fronts on Sand Lake. From the outside, the building is very attractive and features a herd of cows! Not REAL cows, but enough to give you the idea that they are serious about meat. The decor is definitely fun but upscale. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately. It was lunchtime but quite a few tables were occupied. Special thanks to our waiter, Jose Gonzalez. He was so considerate and helpful with menu explanations. His timing with the delivery of our dishes was perfect. The menu is an electronic tablet handed to you when you are seated. Each dish is pictured and described accurately. Neat! The three of us ordered the pork belly mofongo appetizer which everyone pronounced excellent. We had two orders of the lunch special of firewood steak and one order of the chicken skewer lunch special. The sides selected were white rice, maduros chorizo and a Caesar salad. All the sides were very good except the salad, which lacked real flavor and was buried under a literal mound of croutons! The chorizos were a surprise: they were exactly the same as Polish kielbasa, and not spicy at all., Worthy of note, there was Spanish music playing in the background but it did not drown out the conversation, which is a pet peeve of mine. We weren't there for the live music which, I expect, might be louder! All in all, a good choice for lunch and I expect, dinner as well. read more

What is there not to love about Nando Grill! From the moment I did the reservation at the beginning of the week until the end of our time there was phenomenal. We usually run into so many issues when we reserve for big parties but this was smooth, simple, and such a stress relief as we celebrated 4 birthdays at once. My family and I loved the food, music, and service so much that we've decided that this is going to be our new go to restaurant when we have big groups or people visiting. Alejandro Turiel was amazing--attentive, professional, and on top of everything. The food is hands down the best Spanish-Latin cuisine in Central Florida. The llanero-style steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. This was my fifth visit this year, and it never disappoints. I had a maracuyá mojito that was both strong and delicious. We came as a party of six without a reservation on a Saturday night, and despite the place being packed, we waited no more than six minutes. We let our server know and he handle everything was handle quickly and our meat was fixed and handle properly. We had a few Mojitos and Margaritas. Definitely this place to be opening night. First impression the restaurant is very beautifully decorated, the restaurant is super clean, staff is very friendly & attentive. Now the food wasn't the best, I'd classify it; mediocre Venezuelan food. I will say their queso con guayaba was amazing, the plantain chips were also good, the meat is juicy and tender but tasteless. The jugo de maracuyá tasted very minty different than others I've had. The piña colada tasted a bit like metal too. Food was great but VERY expensive! Our combo was over $200 (they say it feeds 7 people but that's FAR from the truth. It will feed 4 adults and that's it). Total check with drinks and tips was about $260 for 2 adults and a 12 year old that drank water only. I had a soda and my wife one beer. That's VERY expensive. Granted I wanted that specific combo with the pork belly on top... I guess if you're in a group with two other adults, will be about $100 bucks per couple, which is still not cheap. Live music is stupid loud... bring your phones for distraction as you won't be able to have a conversation if the band is playing. Service was VERY good! No weekend reservations... It took us almost 30 minutes just to get to the host to learn that there was a 90 minute wait. We were super lucky that a table freed up right in front of us and the host say "go sit there". This place gets PACKED. We loved the food but probably won't be back as it's far for a relaxing family day out. read more

We were in Orlando for a few days and decided to have dinner at a steak house he used to frequent. To our surprise the restaurant had changed to Nando Grill. We decided to give it a try not realizing it was Venzualen. When we walked in the restaurant looked fun and lively. The servers had some type of costumes on and singing happy birthday at a table. We were seated at a table in the bar area. Our waitress was so nice and extra helpful. She was proud of her culture and expressed how happy we were to experience their food. She explained they had only been poles than a month but had other locations in Miami. I wish I could remember her name but I didn't find time to write the review sooner. The menu was by only available through a QR code whereas we prefer a menu as it's easier for us. So she offered to help us go through the menu and explain the different foods. We decided on the fire grilled steaks and ribs. We let her choose our sides which were Arepa frita and fried cassava. One plate was plenty for the two of us and we even had some leftover. While we enjoyed everything the steak was outstanding, some of the best we have had. We will definitely return when we are in that area again. read more
