Checkout that cheese pull! 10" Medium Original Stuffed Pizza: Uncle Tony's Cousin

Yum! I finally got to try out Nancy's in person and I had a great experience. The restaurant is nicely decorated and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered wings and onion rings for our appetizers and two deep dish pizzas for dinner. The pizzas take a while to cook and we were notified of this upfront. The wings and onion rings were both delicious, I really enjoyed the sauce on both of them! The "A Lot of Meat" pizza was super cheesy and meaty, just as I expected it to be. I will definitely be back, I can't wait to try more!

Ever since my visit to Chicago a couple of years ago, I've been hooked on authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizza. A few coworkers recommended Nancy's, saying it was the closest thing to the real deal in the area, and they weren't playing. I stopped by for takeout after work and was genuinely impressed. My small deep dish pizza, buffalo wings, and garlic bread were all still piping hot by the time I got home. The deep dish had that classic, hearty Chicago flavor I've been craving since leaving the "Chi". The inside has a welcoming vibe, with dimmed lighting, a bar and TV's, perfect for a casual get-together or a relaxed date night. I'll be hard-pressed to visit any other chain pizza spot.

It is expensive but worth the deep dish, best in this area! Manager is great! So busy! Love this pizza!!

Stuffed medium pizza with pepperoni, bacon, & Canadian bacon.

We were in Raleigh for our pups heart stent surgery at NC State. And I wanted a Chicago style pizza. So after some searches, Nancy's came to be my pizza of choice. Cool place. Very clean and welcoming. Our server was great. The food was absolutely amazing. I wanted pizza. But also had to try their Italian beef sandwich. I got the regular Italian beef with hot Giardiniera and sweet peppers. I really wish I had added some cheese on it. Because it doesn't come with cheese. And I love cheese. The sandwich was great. Very good taste and a lot of meat. The gravy to dip it in was tasty as well. I ate half of it, because I wanted to try it hot. And took the other half back to the hotel. I also got a medium stuffed pizza with pepperoni, bacon, and Canadian bacon. And this pizza was freaking amazing. The sauce was one of the best sauces I've had. The ingredients were fresh and there was a lot of them. Absolutely loaded with cheese. Which made for a heck of a cheese pull. I only managed to get 2 pieces down. And trust me, I can eat mass quantities of pizza. It is very filling. I'd say you could easily feed 4 people with the medium. My girlfriend who typically is very picky. Got a small thin crust Uncle Tony's special. And she absolutely loved it of course I had to try a piece. And I'm not usually a thin crust person. But it was perfection. She ate over half the pizza, which is rare for her. She's usually 2 slices top. Will definitely be back if I ever happen to be in the area again. Had a quick little conversation with who I'm assuming was the manager. And he was super friendly. Enjoyed my talk with him. Made us feel very welcome there. Definitely recommend if you're nearby and have a crazing fr some amazing pizza!

Thin crust meat lovers... there is a full layer of pepperoni on the bottom!

Best pizza in town... hands down. First, one of the only places to get legit Chicago deep dish , but their thin crust is no joke either. No skimping on toppings. They put a full layer of pepperoni on the bottom, then cheese, then all the other meats. Who does that?! The crust is buttery delicious. My wife loves their pasta dishes. We're all in. Their price is higher than the fast food pizzas, but deserved. I'm a 180 lb male known to binge eat and I can only get about half a small deep dish in me before calling it. Outdoor seating in a popular strip mall. Great times all around.

Rating based on: consistency, cleanliness, quality, taste, and presentation Fam, let me put y'all up on game about Nancy's Pizzeria in Raleigh! And before any of my NYC fam comes at me - yes, I know my pizza, but this Chicago-style spot is hitting different! First things first, their deep dish game is BUSSIN' FR FR! But don't sleep on their thin crust either - it's giving main of character of Dune energy! The cheese pull on these pies? More dramatic than your favorite reality show - straight dripping like my iced-out Rolex collection (IYKYK). Let's talk about that Fettuccine Alfredo (or should I say Alfredo Fettuccine because it's THAT good). The sauce is so fire, it had me speaking in tongues! No cap, this sauce is the type you'd want to bathe in (respectfully). And them cannolis? SHEEEESH! They hit that sweet spot harder than your ex's "you up?" text at 2AM. The filling is so creamy and perfect, it'll have you acting up! ‍ The customer service? Impeccable! More reliable than your bestie's shoulder to cry on. And the ambience? It's giving cozy date night vibes but make it Italian! Perfect spot to take your significant other(s) - and that's all I'm gonna say about that! Listen up, if you're looking for some hearty, legitimate Italian food that won't have your wallet crying, Nancy's is the move! The portion sizes are giving generous aunt at Thanksgiving energy, and the prices are actually reasonable (unlike my therapy bills). the ambience I mean, I would take my side piece and my wifey to the spot.! This spot is so good, I'm considering moving closer just to get my weekly fix. And that's on period! Pro tip: Come hungry, leave happy, and don't forget to grab extra cannolis for later (trust me on this one). Nancy's Pizzeria is the truth! This ain't just food - it's a whole experience!

Side of meatballs

Had a really good experience here. Was craving some pizza and wings and decided to order some meatballs too while I was at it. The meatballs came out first and were extremely tasty and filling. Seasoned well and everything. Next came the wings. They were piping hot that I needed to let them rest a few minutes. Towered high and tasted great. Wouldn't say a top place for me for wings but a solid 3.5-4 on a 5 star scale. Lastly, and the star of the show was a personalized deep dish with pepperoni. It looked delicious and also fresh out the oven. Crust was buttery and had the perfect ratio of crunch to softness. The pizza itself was fantastic and brought me back to my days in Chicago!

Fun atmosphere, incredible food & even better service. Our bartenders Sarah & Caroline were very personable, knew the menu inside and out and gave awesome recommendations. (I even downloaded the yelp app just to make this review) We were already talking about our next trip on the ride home, can't wait to go back!

Excellent customer service and good pizza! It's the only deep dish I've had and I like what I've had so far. Will be back.

Y'all's prices are already adequately high AND you want to charge me for using a credit card?! I feel like this is just petty. I feel disrespected. We as customers already subsidize the cost of your wait and bar staff by personally paying their salaries, you could at least pick up the CC fees. Which sort of brings me to my next point. If your going to charge me $30 for literally 6-7 tiny little ravioli, at least indicate in SOME way that I'm getting a little appetizer portion and not an actual pasta dish that would serve as a meal. Granted, they were friggin delicious, but come on... I really liked almost all the food here and I want to give it a better rating but there are issues here that will not allow it. Bring down the cost and/or improve portion size and stop charging ME for the cost to run YOUR business and maybe we'd be having a different convo...

We entered through a big heavy wooden door into the quasi-dark atmosphere and were promptly seated, despite most of the tables being occupied. We were given a two top and started with chips and guacamole. I was impressed with the chips, they were a little extra thick, had tiny bubbles in them. Certainly a far departure from the typical thin, overly salty chip found at most restaurants and grocery stores. Excellent guac with a little pico and lime wedge on the side. I ordered the Baja bowl with shredded adobo chicken. The bowl had green rice, black beans, a whole lot of kale, tomatillo sauce, pickled red onions, crema, and cilantro. It needed a little more, so I added in some of the guac, a few chips I crumbled in my hands for some crunch, and some fresh lime juice. Noah did a good job keeping our water glasses full and he was quite friendly. However, the restroom situation is a bit difficult. There are two small unisex bathrooms, both of which have to be locked. There can't be more than one person in there at the same time, so plan accordingly. Granted, since there isn't much space in the restaurant, it's not as if they have a ton of options.

Everything except the caesar was good. I guess we didn't expect the caesar to taste THAT charred and the lettuce to not be chopped. For main entrees, we ordered lasagna, lobster ravioli, penne alla vodka, and alfredo. The vodka pasta and lasagna were unflavored and disliked among the table. I would not recommend those dishes. The alfredo was okay. The best dish was the lobster ravioli.

Bottom line: Lunch at Flour & Barrel was great! Small but nice selection of items on their lunch…read moremenu. The Radiatore small pasta was delicious and satisfying while just the right size for lunch, adding chicken for a protein boost. My friend enjoyed the Chicken Parm Sando and Kardashian Chopped Salad. Good service in a surprisingly well decorated atmosphere, I would come back to Flour & Barrel for more Italian goodness! The Deets: I wanted to catch up with a friend over a weekday lunch and we scoped out Flour & Barrel in DTR to do just that. When entering in from the pretty nondescript exterior/entrance on the corner of North and Harrington Streets, it becomes a colorful well decorated bistro/bar type feeling inside which is welcoming. We were shown to our table next to one of the wide windows facing North St, I liked this table with lots of natural light and yes, I am a people watcher as well. The server took our drink orders and asked if we had any questions about the menu. The lunch menu is pretty succinct but well represented, offering focaccia sandwiches (sandos), small pastas (pasta handmade in-house), and salads. It also has a wine and craft beer selection also if needed. My friend went with the Chicken Parmesan Focaccia Sando (has pomodoro, mozzarella, and basil) with Kardashian Chopped Salad (made with romaine, salami, provolone, piquillo peppers, artichoke, and garbanzo) for a side while I chose the Radiatore small pasta selection. The Radiatore is described on the menu as "our version of carbonara but creamier / guanciale / egg" so naturally it caught my eye. I am usually pretty cut and dry about wanting carbonara to be the traditional type but since they stated upfront that this is their version, I was willing to give it a go. I am glad I did, as this pasta dish was great. The serving was the perfect size for lunch, plus I was able to add chicken to it as well. The sauce was creamy and delicious, going well with the al dente pasta. This meal was most satisfying and I would love to get this one again in the future. My friend really enjoyed the sando so much, he had originally planned to eat half and take the other half home...that didn't work out the way he planned as he devoured the whole sandwich there, it was that good. He also enjoyed the salad as well. Our server did well checking on us and making sure we had what we needed. I am so glad we decided to try out Flour & Barrel for lunch, it worked out perfectly and was a very enjoyable meal.
