Ordered a family meal dinner from here. Came with 3 choices and soup and rice. Even though the portions looked small it was enough for us. The scallion beef was very tender. The peking pork had a nice flavor but there was a lot of bones. The scallion pancake was okay. It was a little soggy not crispy enough for me. The pig intestines was okay. Not the best i have ever had.

Great food. Never had a bad meal here. Service was fast. We decided to do the 3 dish for $49. Pig knuckle, three cup chicken, pork w dry bean curd and celery, and scallion pancakes. The soup at the beginning of 5e meal was very tasty.

This place has been around for ages. I remember coming here with my friends from junior high school and it's just like how I remember it - no frills and simply delicious. We like that their Taiwanese breakfast is available until 3pm on the weekends. Another plus is they have a great assortment of cold appetizers and snacks. The salty tofu pudding and salty sticky rice roll are my staples. We tried the stir fried noodle with beef and pepper and really enjoyed the heat and flavors. The pork roll has crispy bean curd on the outside with a succulent minced pork filling inside. Great place for authentic Taiwanese classics.

We went for the weekend breakfast and was not disappointed. Food came quickly and was served hot.

This place is pretty amazing- located on a street with other stores, it had the most customers at an early time frame. I expected to pick u a harmless piece of onion next to my porkchop and had no idea how scorching hot (Ay Eff) it was! Absolutely legit on that wok fire business! Blazing! All the foods came out hot so hats off to the chefs who are in front of the firing piece of metal ALL day! Support your local businesses!!!

Great local Taiwanese restaurant. The fried stinky tofu is a must try. They make it very soft and flavorful. Also the 3cup chicken is also very good.

I can't speak about the service or ambiance because my boyfriend brought this order to-go, but the food was great. The Deep Fried Cruller is the perfect combination of chewy and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. It wasn't too oily. I was told they made the order fresh on the spot. The Green Onion Sou Bing was soft, great when sandwiching a Deep Fried Cruller. The Beef Stew Noodle Soup had my ideal thickness in noodles. Because the order was taken to-go, the noodles were a soggy and soft, but I bet that wouldn't have been the case if we'd eaten it in the store. The soup is a little bit spicy, not overly spicy. Most cuts of the meat were tender, and they were generous with the meat. Only 1-2 chunks of meat were a bit tough. The Green Onion Pancake Rolled with Beef had the perfect cuts of beef, and the pancake wasn't too oily either.

So the food is 5/5 but I have to take off 1 star just because of how cold/poor A/C is in this restaurant! I am used to my fair share of dingy Chinese restaurants, but if we are in a table at the far back of the restaurant and STILL cold it's too damn cold lol. I can't imagine what it's like during the summer, probably sweltering hot with no A/C. Aside from that, the food came out quickly and they were attentive at refilling the complementary tea. The food itself is excellent, the youtiao (fried Chinese dough sticks) are some of the largest I've ever seen! And the flaky pastries were some of the best I've had. The jiucaibao were excellent. We had both salty and sweet soybean soup, and both were excellent, although I am always partial to salty. Fantuan was ok but I've had better in Taiwan and elsewhere. I tried the stinky tofu and cannot eat it (lol had to spit it out) but the family I was eating with who did like stinky tofu said it was really good.

Great atmosphere, delicious food and an unbeatable price. Food came out quickly, would definitely recommend and return.

The food is always delicious here. This time I found out they have the traditional hot pot style food that I haven't try before. It's perfect for winter!

THE best taiwanese food I have had in the US at a restaurant. Everything is cooked so well and comes out super fast. The family style dishes and sets are highly recommended. The owners are super friendly and parking is easy to find.

Food is tasty but on the pricier side. Portion was on the smaller side for what you're paying.

Some of the menu highlights are the lion's head meatball, braised beef, celery with pork, and salt and pepper fried shrimp, but everything is delicious. Because she is the chef and owner, she can make modifications or entirely new dishes upon request, but it may depend on how many orders she has waiting. The good- plenty of meat in Lou Rou Fan, the texture of stinky tofu, the no tipping but bus your own tray business model. Friendliness of staff behind the ordering counter. The so-so: not enough fragrance in stinky tofu, the slightly soggy/oily pork chop, and lack of fragrance in Taiwanese sausage. The somewhat expensive price( our lunch costing $56 total). Will probably revisit another time to see how other dishes taste and see what price point it will result in.

I used to really enjoy the food, but lately the quality has declined. Some orders were extremely greasy, literally a pool of oil at the bottom, and overall it hasn't been consistent. The bigger issue has been the delivery driver. From what the owner told me, they only have one, and unfortunately he has been unpleasant every time. I hand him the cash for the order and the tip and make it clear. I say, "This is for the order, and this is your tip." Even then, he interrupts me and says things like, "You don't give me a tip. You Americans never tip. You motherf***er. F*** you," even though he literally has the tip in his hand. This has happened multiple times and the language and disrespect are completely uncalled for. I spoke to the owner, who apologized, but the problem continued. Because of this and the decline in food quality, I switched to Panda Garden just 1 to 2 blocks away. I had never tried them before, but they are a hidden gem. The food is fresh, high quality, and not greasy at all. I will not be ordering from Bell Garden anymore, which is disappointing given how close it is, but Panda Garden has won me over.
