Servers were friendly, but there were some hiccups: we weren't provided with drink menus, we had to ask for our miso soup multiple times, and wasabi and ginger weren't automatically provided- we had to ask. The food is beautifully presented. It's nice that the AYCE option comes with sashimi - though the slices of fish were a little slimmer or smaller than typical. On a Sunday evening at regular dinner hours (7 pm) they were "out" of kanpachi and the Sea Breeze roll that I wanted to try. There's a wide variety of specialty maki. Quite a few came with cheddar cheese which seems weird (and we did not try). All AYCE portions are about half the size of portions at other AYCE restaurants - not a problem because you can simply order more if you like, and this allows you to try a greater variety of items (appetizers, ramen, etc). But oddly the seaweed salad was 3x the typical size! And the smaller portions arrive on gigantic plates that make squeezing all the food onto the table difficult. The logistics of AYCE ordering need refinement - you have to order with your server (who inputs items into a tablet) rather than having a tablet or even a paper ordering sheet at each table. So we had to hang onto gigantic menus throughout our meal (to reference for future rounds of ordering). The decor is modern, though the view of the sushi bar area is cluttered (with boxes, and all sorts of stuff) and the big screens above the bar were showing some political news (not exactly what I'd like to relax to.over dinner). read more

Tried the AYCE dinner special and was pleasantly surprised! The scallop nigiri was so buttery, slightly sweet, and such good quality. The rolls were delicious too! The yellowtail jalapeño was our favorite, for sure. Even though we didn't eat a lot, we still feel like it's a great deal for the nigiri, rolls, and appetizers that we received. My nieces and sister were in town and they wanted to try some sushi! Our hopes here high but, sadly it didn't hit the mark. The food I will say was alright. I would say on par from some of the other sushi places I have been to. I will say the chicken katsu's curry sauce that was on the side was amazing! One of the best curry's I have tried. The service was not good as the waitress we had was not attentive and seemed very rude to us. I have to say there was another waitress. We believe she was Korean and she was very nice and attentive to us. If we had her as our waitress I think the experience would have been better! The ambiance was cool. I heard about Nami Sushi's opening from a fellow Yelper who said great things about them. What makes them unique is their AYCE everything, not just sushi. In addition to sushi, they have a typical variety of apps, udons, fried rice, ramen. Their rolls are huge, definitely not your typical small rolls you see at most ACYE sushi places. I knew when I saw our first round come out, I was not going to be able to eat more than 2-3 rolls. Every roll was very good. We ordered crazy tuna, rockstar, dragon, Philadelphia, BMW, snow mountain, MJ rolls. We also ordered crab rangoons. We were stuffed! Loved their presentation. Service was great! One of the best experiences of AYCE I've ever had in general, especially in the Chicagoland area! Incredible pricing and quality for AYCE sushi (including sashimi), and the AYCE options are plentiful beyond just sushi/sashimi. I love the non-rice rolls they offer, along with the variety of appetizers, rice bowls, and noodle dishes. The tempura is done very well here - crispy, light, and comes out hot! There is definitely something on the menu for everyone and the service is impeccable. Even with multiple rounds of food, the speed and quality of service and the food didn't go down at all. Servers were even initiating and asking us regularly if we're ready to order more! Decor is super nice inside as well. Has such an amazing experience that I'm looking forward to my next visit again! Nami Sushi in Glenview is incredible. I came here with my family during their first couple of days being open, and our experience was phenomenal. The AYCE dinner option is very worth it and comes with many options. They have so many dishes such as sushi rolls, sashimi, poke, crispy appetizers, and many more. Everything I ordered was flavorful and delicious. They have such a large variety of sushi rolls on the menu, so it was great to try so many combinations. My favorite rolls were the Green Meadow and Golden Treasure. The fish tasted fresh, and they were generous with the amount of fish on the rolls which is awesome for an AYCE sushi restaurant. The interior was also well decorated and very clean. The ambiance and atmosphere were great for a nice sushi dinner. The servers were also quick with taking orders, and the wait time for the food was fairly short. Searching for sushi while visiting the area I found Nami. I was greeted and seated immediately. Cindy, my server explained that they had an all you can eat option that included the entire menu or I could order à la cart. After seeing the menu and items like hibachi, fried rice, udon, teriyaki, I went with the AYCE ($40) and soon found out it was a good choice. I ordered a few things and they came out incredibly fast. I mostly ordered sushi that had no rice. The taste of the fish was fresh and the size of the items, except for the Naruto/Ocean Mountain hand roll, were perfect bite size. I wish I had a bigger stomach but began to realize I was full. I had room for one more thing. I ordered a side of steak, medium rare, it was delicious. If I lived in the Illinois area, I am from another state, this would be on my list of favorites. AYCE and a green tea was $47. I'm in Glenview for a business meeting and was looking for a place to grab a bite for lunch and kind of stumbled upon Nami. It had been a hot minute since I had sushi, so I decided to give the place a try. Boy, am I glad that I did! The pricing for all you can eat sushi here is beyond reasonable. $26 for lunch, and you can order from their whole menu, including soups, ramen, desserts, appetizers, fried rice entrees, etc. Each round that came out was incredibly fresh and really tasty. I was also pleasantly surprised at how quick each round came out--I've been at other AYCE places that would take upwards of 30-45 min between placing your order and it coming out, but the chefs here at Nami have a great operation going here. I never felt like I was waiting forever and I never felt rushed. I'd definitely recommend ordering small batches rather than trying to get everything you want in one go. The atmosphere here was also really cool--kind of hip industrial chic vibes with good music playing. Everything was perfect except the service staff, who were very sweet but do not quite understand questions in English. Excellent food, nice ambiance & a big parking lot at the back. Located off the Glen area. Lunch is $26 & dinner is $40. The lunch menu & dinner menu are not the same. We had the $40 dinner menu. You get completely different menus depending on your choice. You can go in during lunch and pay for the more extensive dinner menu. Lunch menu has sashimi too but the selection is not as extensive as the dinner menu. There are also more appetizers on the dinner menu & different sushi rolls. I highly recommend the seared ahi tuna, white tuna, scallops, unagi, all the sashimi essentially. We basically just ate 90% sashimi, anything as a nigri can be ordered as sashimi. The menu also includes ramen & udon which we did not try. We also tried the shrimp tempura and softshell crab, which was just ok, the batter needs work. The best thing to do if you love raw fish is to go for the dinner menu and eat all the sashimi your heart desires. I believe there were over 20 types of sashimi. I will be back for sure to try items on the lunch menu soon. Must try Japanese ACYE and hands down wins the competition for the dinner sashimi options for the area. Super fresh! read more

I came here Sunday night with my family at 7pm and there wasn't a wait. This place recently opened up and it is FREAKING AMAZING! The interior is gorgeous and they were playing Taylor Swift songs all night! I love the super extensive menu that they have and the sashimi were super fresh! The details that goes into each presentation is unreal. Each piece of scallop is separated by a thin piece of lime which makes it taste super fresh in the mouth. I was always a salmon person until I had the scallop here and I could not stop ordering them. We had 2 boats of sashimi along with some non-rice rolls which is pretty interesting. I hate it when restaurants load up the rice in nigiri so the fact that this place has non-rice rolls, for sure I have to give them some brownie points for it. I think my favorite was the naruto roll which is a great summer item as it has 3 types of fish wrapped around in cucumber. The chicken wings here were juicy and big! I like how most things were customizable since the server takes your order at the table. I was telling them sauce on the side for some stuff cause I'm not a sauce person. I immediately told my friends about this place and they're already planning to come here! It's rare to find AYCE sushi restaurants that does AYCE sashimi or I should say they're nonexistent besides this other new one that just opened up in Chicago Chinatown that requires a $6 upgrade. When I first walked in the place was well decorated and looked very fancy. Lily was our server and she was such a gem! She's super accommodating and came to check on us multiple times, and wasn't judgey at all when we ordered multiple times. Service was so fast the food came out right after we ordered. The sushi is edible, and the fish-to-rice ratio is satisfactory. The sashimi was also edible. I ordered the tempura, which consisted of five pieces of shrimp, but I received only two. The stir-fried scallops were enjoyable on the first round but became overly sweet on the second round. The steak is disappointing. I requested medium-rare, but it was overcooked twice. This gem is a nice addition to the neighborhood. Service is attentive and in good pace. They provide real chopsticks rather than the bleached bamboo ones. And their fantastic napkin. The last time I saw one of these was in Chef Ping, many moons ago before they down graded to regular paper napkins. Presentation is good. Their rolls are good with not-overly salty sushi rice nicely proportioned to the inside ingredients. Their seafood salad is refreshing with salad leaves and avocados accompanying delicious fish bites. One thing that they could improve on is the warmness of their soup broth.
