Sushi Bowl
Lisa S.

Yesterday was my first time ever at MOM's Market. MOM's has that Whole Foods vibe to it. I loved what I saw upon entering but let's be honest, Naked Lunch was the real star of the show. The menu was making my mouth water the more and more I looked at it. When I arrived, it was a little after 1PM and only one person was ahead of me in line. I was having a hard time choosing between the tacos or the sushi bowl but went with the sushi bowl on impulse. It was a tasty mixture of tofu, brown rice, carrots, cucumbers, seaweed and avocado tossed in a creamy ginger sesame dressing. It did not disappoint and the portion was gigantic. All of the ingredients were fresh - I saved and reheated the leftovers and can confirm everything still tasted great the next day. Bonus points for a flawless utensil station and super friendly and attentive employees. Would recommend to anyone looking for healthy and filling meals.

Greek Potatoes with Crema

I've been a fan of the Greek Potatoes but very rarely are they served as they advertise. They are always out of multiple ingredients (feta cheese, tzatziki sauce) and the ratio of ingredients is absurd. For a dish named Greek POTATOES, there is only a handful of potatoes and 95% spinach. More and more disappointing every time I go there

Sad sushi bowl

I got the sushi bowl and it was just so bad. The rice is served warm so it makes the cucumber and avocados warm and the seaweed soggy. The bowl is all rice for $12 (who eats 4 cups of rice for lunch) and the toppings are skimpy.

So constructive criticism time. This place falls into the same trap a lot of vegan and vegetarian places (to my experience) do which is lack of seasoning. I mean basic seasoning like salt. It is a naturally occurring mineral so I don't see why it is so often left out. The "jammed yam" is a sweet potato stuffed with black beans, quinoa, jalapenos, pineapple & cilantro. So you have sweet a couple sweet elements with nothing to balance them out because the beans and quinoa were just cooked and not seasoned. So they add protein and fiber but not much else. The previous dish which was a special Mexican bowl suffered from the same issue. The food competition around here is too stiff. They need to step up the game.

Came for a naked juice and was suggested to create my own since I was having trouble deciding what I wanted. I ended up ordering a small juice with carrot base and added beet, spinach, celery, lemon and ginger. Delicious and quickly made. I paid $4.80 and was pleasantly surprised that I could get cash back too. Definitely coming to try their muffins- they looked delicious!

Make Your Own bowl: quinoa, swt pot., kalamatas, carmelized onions, roasted garlic dressing YUM!

This place never disappoints. Consistently organic, unlike others places that are "organic when possible"- I don't trust those places. I always get the quinoa as the base and add various veggies. They have a large variety of dressings, possibly 10.

At first, I was worried we would only be able to get bar seating since neither of us put in a reservation. Luckily, the wait staff was able to seat us at a booth as long as we finished by 8pm---perfect! We weren't super hungry, but we were able to share one of the appetizers and get dishes for each of us. The appetizer we got was the rutabaga fondue, with pretzel bread and pickled veggies. It was an intriguing dish and the pickled veggies added an interesting tang. For my entree, I got the grilled tofu with kanzuri glaze, okinawa potato, sunchoke miso butter, fancy radishes, and shiso. The presentation was very much on point! For the two of us, our entire meal was around $80. A great experience from start to finish!

I enjoyed the spicy dan dan noodles, made with delicious mushrooms. Everything else was just fine or too smoky for my tastes. I had a really nice glass of wine with my meal. The food presentation was really nice . The space is lovely and quite dark. The service was good. I recommend it to those who enjoy smoky flavors.

The flavors are amazing, the plating is photo-worthy, and the menu is full of fresh local seasonal ingredients prepared in creative ways and often combined with palate-pleasing ferments and sauces. They also now have Camuna Cellars wine and other local options for beverages, which pair well with the menu. Overall, Pietramala is a must-visit. Regardless of whether you're on a plant-based diet or not, bring a group, order the whole menu to share with friends, and enjoy a great meal in a lively, but relaxing space.

Brought out new clean plates a few times and explained everything as it was brought out. The favorites on the current menu for me were the beet salad, sweet potato, stuffed pepper, and mushroom. The sweet potato cashew cheese dressing was just so creamy and rich. And then for the sweet potato, the yuzu buffalo sauce also stood out with a nice sweet, tart, and spicy concoction. For the cavatelli, the biquinho peppers were new to me and gave a unique flavor and texture with the pop. As a big fan of ras el hanout spice mix, I wished it had more strength on the cauliflower plate. Every course was fresh, light, and most had multiple layered flavors to excite your tastebuds. Some amazing flavors and combinations by the chefs. Some of the sauces were exceptionally clever and the presentation and colors really enhanced the experience. All around great dinner, thanks.
