Great service, friendly staff, and even better food! Tasted so authentic even a non vegan would love.

By far the best restaurant me & my vegetarian daughter tried on our trip to Philly. Food was delicious, fresh, and tasted healthy. Really cute with plants in the windows. I will be back if I come back to Philly.

The ambiance was great, the service was slow despite it being empty in the restaurant but I was catching up with family so I didn't mind it. I took a star off because the waitress failed to mention a menu item that they did not have prior to me ordering said item. We ended up ordering the mushroom flatbread, fries, spinach artichoke dip, charred broccoli and a salad. Everything except the salad was delightful, the salad lacked something that I can't quite put my finger on. Overall, I would recommend.

Unfortunately a pretty forgettable experience - was super excited to try Fitz on 4th because I love supporting vegan restaurants and the menu looked incredible. We were seated on the outdoor patio even though it was getting quite dark and there was very little lighting outside - our server brought over a tiny table light for us instead which was cute. We shared the chorizo empanadas, edamame wontons, arancini, crispy broccoli, and mushroom sliders. The empanadas were nice and crispy but heavily lacking flavor / salt. The wontons were really good! Arancini was okay, not amazing, and the crispy broccoli was a bit too lemony and bitter especially for my husband. The sliders were also fine. I would have tried the gnocchi or one of the mains, but because we weren't super impressed with the small plates, we opted not to try a bigger menu item. Overall, not sure that I would return - Philly has other delicious vegan spots that I'd recommend over Fitz on 4th.

PHILADELPHIA, PA: Fitz on 4th is an absolutely delicious vegan tapas and cocktail bar and leashed dogs are allowed at their outdoor seating. We love a restaurant that is not only dog friendly, but also commits to fresh ingredients following sustainable practices. What makes this place even better is that the food is EXCELLENT! The flavors are outstanding and the menu is full of items that anyone can eat. We indulged in spinach artichoke dip and Nonna meatballs, and we love that we can get our favorite things to eat veganized. Libations include a selection that will make it hard to choose because each one looks so good! There is also a wine list, beer, and even mocktails. Leashed and friendly dogs are allowed at their seasonal outdoor seating along the beautiful building with lush greenery and a colorful mural. Doggy water bowls are available, just ask for one.

Such a great vibe! The space is cozy and beautiful. The food is too. We ordered lots of things; crab cakes, meat balls, empanadas, sour dough, French fries, mushroom sliders, pretzel bites, dessert and so many cocktails! The food was delicious! Truly! Top notch! The service was spectacular! This type of place in Philly is a testament to the wonderfully, creative food scene in this city. If you are vegan, if you are not, come here.

This is a generous four star review -- the dishes here that are good are GREAT, but there's simultaneously so much that's lacking. If you order ONE thing, let it be the broccoli. Right now they have crispy broccoli with a tahini sauce served with pomegranate and it's phenomenal. Crispy, savory, sweet and I wouldn't change a thing. On the other hand, the maple glazed brussel sprouts that sounded so enticing fell so short. They completely lacked a maple flavor, were not crispy, and had such an odd spice blend in them. It was to the point where the dish had to be sent back, and the table next to us actually did the same exact thing. Moving on, the edamame wontons are a great idea, but the filling itself was oddly chunky and could have been better put together. The sweet black vinegar reduction served with the wontons was amazing though. The nachos were not good. The vegan cheese sauce was incredibly thin, and barely coated the top layer of tortilla chips. The sour cream was also lacking and the guacamole was a pureed consistency similar to store bought guacamole, it didn't resemble fresh avocado at all. The meatballs were solid, and I enjoyed the focaccia they came with. We finished the night with the crème brûlée which was lovely, but it's definitely coconut milk/cream based - so beware if you aren't a fan of that. Overall, the vibe in here is cozy and it would make a great date spot. There were standout dishes that I'd come back for, but there's equally as much on the menu that I would never want to eat again. I hope they can continue to refine the menu because there is potential here to be such a strong vegan restaurant.

Ambience and location are great. I found the food not as worth it; the drinks were overpriced, small portion, and not as good. Meatballs were a little bland, flatbread was very thin and not supported, and overwhelmed with a lot of arugula, arancini was decent but predictable; wontons were basically spring rolls--very crispy and you couldn't really taste the filling..other things were on the bland side. Our group was underwhelmed.

The layout, ambiance, service, and menu options are just lovely! I sat at the bar and tried two dishes. Although I love this place and will keep trying more dishes, I have to say, I wasn't impressed by the food! I know I know! Hot take! But I am determined to give it more tries! The beet salad was just too salty! Way over salted! The beets tasted like they were cooked in salted water, but the pesto dressing was salty too so all together it was too much. And I am a person who tends to over salt when cooking! The gnocchi was good, just not that great. I had an interesting after taste in my mouth that was perplexing. Overall, def going back, just not getting these two dishes again.

Visited Fitz on 4th with a friend (and fellow Yelper!) after it's been on my list for a bit. I lean more vegetarian, but my friend is strictly veg / verging on vegan, so this was a perfect spot for the 2 of us to go. She easily made reservations for us, and it was a beautiful day where we could sit outside. I didn't even explore the inside of the restaurant, although from a glance, it looked spacious and modern. I enjoyed the outdoor table, which leant itself to not only enjoying the weather but also to great people watching! Service was solid - I did not feel like our waitress rushed us all, and she helped us make some decisions. We started off with some cocktails, which were quite unique and fun - making it hard to nail down just one! I ultimately went for the Fig Old Fashioned since I'm a sucker for figs and bourbon. It wasn't overpowering with the fig flavor and barely sweet at all, making it a delectable (and strong!) cocktail. My friend opted for a more fruity cocktail, which was up her alley and came with high praise! I appreciated their variety of cocktails as well as mocktails and an extensive wine list, truly making something available for everyone. For food, as mentioned, the food is all vegan, making this an easy spot to visit with friends supporting various diets. There are a number of tapas as well as a few larger plates on the menu. Items change based on the seasons and the freshest offerings, which is always a nice touch. We stuck to the tapas menu, ordering a variety of dishes including the broccoli, edamame wontons, and tacos. All items were delicious, but my standouts were the broccoli and wontons - both which had excellent flavor. I was blown away at how much Fitz on 4th could do with a fully vegan menu - they pushed the limits in a way that just worked! Even though we didn't get all the menu items, I was shocked at items like beer cheese & pretzel, crab cakes, meatballs, and mac & cheese which were fully vegan! The prices were fair for the quality and quantity of food and drinks, so nothing to be shocked at. I would highly recommend Fitz on 4th to really anyone in the Queen Village area, but especially those with a vegetarian / vegan preference. I would certainly return back to try more menu items and continue to be impressed with what they can do with "just veggies"!

This swanky, hip place…read moreoffers up elevated tasty food and superb service in an exquisitely decorated, albeit small, cafe. We braved negative degree weather for the roughly 10 minute walk from our hotel. We walked in at a good time. This is the type of place where a reservation for breakfast would be required. We were sat immediately. The dining area is tight. A green velvet bench, marble tables, metal chairs, all packed into a small area. You could very well have your butt brush over the table of the patrons next to you if you have to get up for any reason. It's tight. Our server was around quickly. He was super friendly and kept things conversational, light and sophisticated. My wife ordered an iced latte, I had their hot drip coffee. For a starter, we had to try the cinnamon knot bread. While it wasn't what we were expecting, it was good. Although, we wouldn't order again. The bread is presented as a small loaf, room temperature with a cold cream cheese icing drizzled over top. The bread had a mild cinnamon flavor and was dry. It lacked the sweet, moist dough you expect from a cinnamon bread. My wife ordered the French style omelet. This had gruyere cheese and chives. Beautifully plated, perfectly cooked and the taste was spot on. It was good enough to forget that she paid $21 for just an omelet, no meat, no sides. I ordered the Eggs Benedict. Pretty standard here. The eggs had bright orange yolks which is common for farm fresh eggs. The "coffee" hollandaise didn't come across with a coffee flavor but it was rich and went well with the ham and English muffins. One thing that stuck with me was their drip coffee. Not sure if it has been a while since I had a light roast but the Rival Bros. Revolver coffee was so good, I got a bag of whole beans to bring back home with me. I may even order it again online. Enswell succeeded on all fronts. The ambiance and service was great. The decor, impeccable. The food, thoughtful and tasty. The details from the silverware to the plates added to the experience. We would come back.

I felt like I ordered the wrong combination. I was able to do an egg sandwich and swap for sourdough bread vs eng muffin. Love that. Didn't love the copper sharp cheese that was a bit messy and tangy. I kept thinking they must have added some type of sauce on it. I'd much rather come back for a simple fried egg combo and chedda cheese. I was also offered sparkling water, but I do wish it had more fizz. The service start to finish was superb in friendly and fast service. I'd come back for mimosa/bar for sure.

Smattering of patio tables on both Eighth Street and Carpenter. When I saw it, I said yes before even looking at the menu. We ordered drinks at the bar and took them outside. It's very chic but also casual. There were mostly pairs or trios - no families. Not th. We saw people ordering a little bit of everything. Honestly, the menu looked great! The kale Caesar salad, the piri piri buffalo chicken dip, bacon wrapped plums, etc. The drinks were the best we had on our Philly trip! The Spanish Monk which had gin, lemon juice, frothed egg white and smoked paprika. I had the GGG which they carried over from their old menu. Can't remember what was in it but she said it was similar to Bee's Knees which is one of my favorite! There's self service still water and sparkling water in the back of the restaurant.
