Hubby got the Impossible burrito and upgraded his side to the red potatoes. The burrito was on the skimpy side and didn't come with any salsa on the side. It was tasty though. The potatoes he paid extra for he felt were skimpy amount. Our waitress did a great job since the place was busy. We are in the heart of the historic area so prices reflect that. It is an old building with exposed beams and brick which add to the vibe of the place.

The food was definitely a 2.5/5. The brisket was okay but the bun was soggy before it arrived. The burger had Kraft cheese on it so I think that should say it all.

The chorizo tostada was also nice and crispy and had a good amount of toppings. A little confused because I got no chorizo flavor - just salty meat with no spice whatsoever. While Jose's is often the first choice for good tacos and beers under one roof in the Rittenhouse Square area,, and Sancho Pistola's provides damn good tacos and burritos in a beer filled Fishtown that doesn't have too many bars that offer them; when it comes to Del Sur its a solid edition to an East Passyunk hot spot that's filled to the brim with taco and beer bar hot spots. And when it comes down to it that's why its taken me so long to revisit it for a review. But whenever I do visit I'm always treated to great service, damn good drinks, and excellent food, and when I come during a Phillies game I can also count on a excellent specials like a pork roll filled SCHWARBERRITO! For drinks I usually go for something from their impressive draft list, especially since I can always count on finding at least one beer from Trouble's End Brewing which Pistola's also owns. But they also have an excellent list of cocktails and margaritas which include nonalcoholic options. Food favorites include: Spicy Tuna Guac - a perfect protein overload served with scallion an sesame seeds. Pistachio Guac - Made even better with goat cheese and chili flakes. Braised Mole Short Rib Tacos - simmered to perfection alongside a truffled potato puree, crispy onions, and a horseradish crema. Brussel Sprout Tacos - a perfect vegetarian taco with pickled jalapenos, sherry honey vinaigrette, and a caramelized shallot puree. Calamari and Chorizo Tacos - a perfectly salty surf and turf with a salsa verde. Mole Wings - a complex sauce containing fruit, nuts, chili peppers, Mexican chocolate make these wings next level! Fried Plantains - made even better with chipotle honey and crema fresca!

Consistency: The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Lovely neighbourhood vibe. They still have their classic C&S tots, amongst many other staple C&S items they're known for. They have continued to have daily specials, don't forget to ask, if they don't. I ordered the C&S tots and the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. As always, very delicious! Stop by. I hope you love it here as much as I. Parking can be a challenge, since it is in a residential neighbourhood.

Okay I have never been here in person, but I have gotten things to go. I would like to say that the…read moreBuffalo Veggie "Wings" on their menu are objectively very very good. My only thing is that I think they should be more descriptive on what they are. If you're vegan or vegetarian and miss having a chicken nugget, this is for you. I am not exactly sure what this was, but it was under the category of fake meat, so impossible meat vibes, maybe seitan vibes, some kinda mimic situation. My dad is a very big meat eater, loves meat, and does not enjoy faux meat. He ate all of these. and loved them. and said that if we didn't tell him they weren't meat he might have not guessed it. The caveat is if you're vegan or vegetarian and not into meat at all, this is not for you, and the "veggie" in the name is extremely misleading. there are no visible vegetables in sight. Maybe it's blended beans or cauliflower inside, but it's not what I think most people would picture when they hear "veggie wings". I for one, was imagining a fritter of sorts with visible vegetables. I will say, the buffalo sauce was fantastic! they reheat very well, and they came with quite a lot. I think 8, and they are decently sized too! definitely can share it or even order as your main!

They had seating at the bar which was fine. We got some amazing drinks. The bartender was really intricate in making these yummy yummy drinks. I got the classic margarita and I'm still craving it. My boyfriend got the "the sancho". We ordered food, I think there was some confusion in what we ordered because the wrong food came out. They fixed it for us and when our food came out it was phenomenal. I got traditional guacamole and chicken enchiladas. My boyfriend got chips and salsa, queso fundido, shrimp tempura tacos. Everything we ate was amazing and that is why I am giving this place a 5 star review. We were a little upset later in dinner when we saw 2 people being seating at 4 person table after we were told that we couldn't do that and had to sit at the bar. I wish I got the bartenders name because of how tasty the drinks were. We will definitely be back and we are hoping for that same bartender :)

My daughter suggested this place for dinner after we couldn't go where we originally planned. We…read morearrived right before happy hour and were seated outside. Personally, I would not recommend outdoor seating here because it's right on a very busy Girard Avenue intersection and between the traffic, honking, loud music, and overall noise, it was just too much. It was also chilly outside and the heat lamps were not on. Nathan, our server, was honestly the highlight of the experience hence 3 stars not less. Very personable, funny, attentive, and made great suggestions. We ordered the corn, chorizo fries, a cheesesteak empanada, a bun, and two pitchers of margaritas prickly pear and mango. Unfortunately, the margaritas were very watery and didn't really taste like margaritas to me. The food looked good initially, but most of it lacked lasting flavor. The corn had good cheese and sauce on the first bite, but after that mostly just tasted like plain corn. The chorizo fries needed thicker fries, more cheese, and more chorizo. The cheesesteak empanada and bun were just okay, although the bun became very salty toward the end. My daughter and her girlfriend love this place, especially the Brussels sprout tacos and margaritas, so I can see why others enjoy it. For me personally, though, the flavors just didn't hit the way I expected them to, and I probably wouldn't return.
