Went for the first time 2 weeks ago! My worst experience ever! It's super crowded and these women were fighting over the guy doing my nails. Go in right away but the guy doing my nails had long yellow fingernails and just kept asking me inappropriate questions. I went to get a full set and as he was doing my nails he kept digging his long thumb nail into my skin; on top of the two of my nails are uneven and one is even glue onto to my nail and I was left with nail polish around my cuticles which I should add he didn't cut. Also they have a sign outside that say $12 for full set but that's bs I got charged $15 and I got a shitty job done. Now I have to go to another place and fix my nails. Never again! Today was the first and [almost certain] last time I come to this nail salon. I'm gonna try to keep this short. I asked for matte finish and they didn't even bother to let them dry. I wanted them to go under the UV light and the technician (Tina) kept saying "no, no, not needed!" I don't expect people to be overly friendly but this lady was in a rush to get me out of there. I walked out and had to come back a few minutes later because the polish had come off one of the nails! You can see in the picture the excess polish that she refused to clean up! It looks disgusting. Had a broken toe nail so asked for a acrylic nail on my toe and the lady didn't even put a tip on it she just put a blob of acrylic on my toe and left it on my toe when I told her no I wanted a tip she told me they don't do tips! I of course got out of the chair to talk to the lady in the front and she tells me the lady told her I was lying that I said I wanted only acrylic then they let some one else "fix me up" he shaved down all the acrylic and shaved off my toe nail until I started bleeding! I have been coming here for years to do my eyebrows and they always do them well. Yesterday I went and I thought nothing of it that it was going to be the same wrong. I had let my eyebrows grow so thick so they can be thick and idk who did my eyebrows she messed them up completely. There so thin and half my eyebrow from the bottom there's a line missing hairs. The worst customer service. The OWNER SAID to me as I am leaving un-satisfied, "YOU GET WHAT WHAT YOU PAY"/ YOU ONLY paid $8 WHAT DO YOU EXPECT! Is that what you think as a business. I got may nails done 2 days ago in Hawthorne but I accidentally ruined my clear gel nails and they couldn't even get that right? My nails only needed clear gel! That's it! They are so cheap they didn't want to use that much clear so the paint brush was so dry it was leaving streaks all over my nails and they dried UN-EVEN! It's so frustrating because the workers didn't understand me and the "OWNER" did not care AT ALL! Plus they erased my design after I told them not to touch the two nails and they charged me more! She was getting mad at me for showing her the sloppy work! They got so sloppy and lazy! I used to be a client back in '04'05'06 but I found another place in Hawthorne because they, first of all use STERILE instruments and are cheaper and nicer and customers leave happier! NAILS IN LA should not treat people that way they are so DISRESPECTFUL! They should listen to their clients and do what they desire, after all we are the ones paying them for a service. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I walked in early weds and asked for a fill and a pedicure. As soon as I walked in i noticed how dirty the place was and I should've walked out. I was seated right away with the gentleman in the front and he asked what I wanted/needed but right after I told him he replied with something along the lines of him not knowing/understanding English. That was fine, I knew my requests weren't hard to understand. He was very nice and gentle but after an HOUR AND A HALF my nails were uneven and bumpy with acrylic below my nail bed. I have nothing against new ppl but I was irritated that no one tried to help or guide him. He was trying really hard and his coworkers were snickering and making fun of him. Then the receptionist remembered I wanted a pedicure and offered it, I declined. That same night TWO of the nails lifted and by Saturday I had no acrylic nails. The only reason I used to love this place is because they are up to date with designs and do a lot of designs that other nail shops don't know how to do. Plus they are cheap and not far from my house. However, I got my nails done here about 5 days ago and this will be my last time. It's only been 5 days and my nails have fallen off. I got white polish and my guess is the polish and top coat they used was cheap because the nail polish started to stain as soon as the next day making my nails look gray. My nails were uneven and the guy that did my nails seemed rushed. I even had to have somebody else do my design because he didn't know how to do what I wanted. Plus the place is filled with hookers because it's on Long Beach Blvd. and that's their area. I gave nails on LA a lot of passes in the past but I am not satisfied with the quality of their work and will pay the extra money for better service elsewhere. read more
