I went here out of convenience since my husband was getting a hair cut next door & I do not regret it! I went with my sister in law to get pedicures. My sister in law already had previous work on her toes, and she said the polish was removed with correctly which she was surprised since most places just file off the polish which is more damaging (her words). I was helped by Diane, who did wonders on my toes. I have very small toe nails practically non existent and she was able to clean them up and paint them perfectly. Like wow I have toe nails! lol the price is also super affordable, she did not try to upsell anything and was straightforward with the price. What more can you ask? I was skeptical about this place due to all the bad reviews, I was not disappointed. I requested for acrylic removal with a new Gel Set, and Pedicure. However, the blade she used to clean my nail, she cut me and said it wasn't her fault and she didn't do it. That made me unhappy because every-time she applied alcohol, it burned. Unfortunately, I have very dry, difficult feet that are prone to callousing & eschew my continuous attempts at keeping them soft. I came here on a Sunday afternoon. I know this place is small and I expect to have a bit of an extended wait time as a result. However, I had to wait approximately 2 hours and I am still waiting as I write this review. I intend to come back and edit after the tech has completed her work on my pedicure and hopefully that will be worth the wait. For the most part the staff customer service is poor. Don't expect to be acknowledged but do expect to be treated like they are doing you a favor and you should feel privileged to give them your money. The service is good. However, their products are bad. My mother and I went in for a pedicure and manicure Saturday morning and Saturday night, the nail polish came off in tube form from my nails. I watched as they poured acetone into the nail polish bottle in order to make the bottle last longer. Acetone should not be poured into the polish, it makes the nail polish chip and weakens the nail bed. If you go, take your own nail polish or simply go to another nail salon with better products. read more

Wasn't happy with the actual service, customer service, nor cleanliness of the place. My sister in law came to this nail salon after striking out with two others that didn't have availability. This was less expensive then the other two places we had gone to. Definitely a "you get what you pay for" type of establishment. Cleanliness: when being seated for a manicure, there was someone's old eyelashes on the nail station. They didn't clean before seating my sister in law down. There was also a gum stuck to one of the nearby nail stations. Service: not the nicest techs we've ever encountered. When I was told someone would be ready to do my pedicure, he told me to come over to one of the pedicure seats/massage chairs, tells me to sit down. 2 minutes later he tells me to get up so he can prep the station. He preps by adding a plastic liner to the wash tub then asks me to sit down again, then takes another 5 minutes or so to come back with all the pedicure supplies. He gave me all the nail color samples and asked me to choose one for my toes (I was only getting a pedicure). Once done with my pedicure he went on the hunt for the nail polish color I chose. Another nail text then tells me that I can't choose that color because it was a gel polish and since I was only getting a pedicure they would not put it on my toes. She said he will only allow me to choose that color if I chose to add on a manicure as well. I didn't need a manicure so I had to choose another color. My sister in law got a manicure and pedicure with other nail techs. Her manicure didn't include cuticle removal, no massage, exfoliation....it was basically just filing down her nails to rep them for her gel nails. She want happy with her nails, as they looked like they added globs of acrylic on top. One nail was crooked and they told her that her actual finger was crooked and that's why it looked crooked to her. Also, while filing down her natural nail, they kept over filing so it felt like it was burning. She would flinch every time it burned after which the nail text said loudly, "she's just too sensitive". For her pedicure, they painted her toe nails, THEN added the cotton. While adding the cotton between her toes, the man ruined the polish so he had to re polish all the nails. The manicure nail tech then came over, and had to redo it after he had done it twice because she even saw how ugly it was turning out. Overall it was a horrible experience. Definitely wouldn't be going back to this place. read more

I'm sorry ladies but very disappointing service. I was initially excited to find a place close but that offered dipping powder manicures. I was a walk in customer on a busy Monday evening. The wait was minimal and I was pleased that they had a good selection of powder color, the minor drawback was that they did not have painted samples, which can suck if you want matching toes and nails, being that the color can vary from its jarred powder to the finished color on your nail. Needless to say, I did the best I could and matched the colors pretty well. The pedi was met with a painful ingrown skin removal, I'm not talking slight pain...I'm talking... its Friday and I'm still waiting for the wound to heal, kind of pain! The pedicurist was not doing the removal correctly, so the manicurist had to step in to finish the job. It was the worst experience and worst pain Ive ever had during a pedicure! Against my better judgement I stayed for the mani. I get it, powder dip is not something that is offered in many salons, but I'd expect, if you offer the service, then you deliver the service properly. My mani came out thick and bumpy, and was layered incorrectly. My nails weren't cleaned properly and weren't trimmed as requested several times. I was displeased upon leaving and expressed that I was unhappy with the bumpiness that was visible. I was told that the mani didn't come out well because the manicurist was running low on top coat and in turn was offered a discount. I don't recommend this nail salon. I am not easily displeased, and I'm a pretty easy going customer (please read my other reviews), but I felt that the service, or lack thereof, should be noted to prevent someone from getting hurt or a really bad infection. read more

My two sisters and I went in exactly one week ago. All 3 of us asked for the regular nail set, that is priced at $15 each. I ended up paying $66 total because of the coffin nail shale for both my sisters. I got the squoval shape. My nails were so thick with acrylic. They had a lady do my nails that I thought was going to do a good job because she was taking her time but it turns out she was doing them wrong because someone had to come and fix what she had already done. My nails were uneven in length and in thickness. Why would they put someone that doesn't know what they are doing to do my nails.I would show a pic but I already cut them off. Worst place ever!! This was my 2nd time visiting this nail salon. I went back due to it was not a very crowded spot. This time I had to wait over 15 min and then a regular customer came in without an appointment and they took her before me and I still had to wait another 10 min to get service. I finally got seated and I needed a new set of nails. After I said I didn't want gel polish the tech said I have to pay an extra $5 due to she said I had a large nail bed. I have been getting my nails done over 30 yrs. and never have I heard that nor have I been charged extra for it. I was so disgusted I almost left. I just said I wouldn't tip but the tech did such a good job I left a $2 time because he wasn't the one who charged me more his manager advised him of the price to over charge me. read more

Customer service makes or breaks a business. I called this morning to make an appointment for a gel manicure with Diane. She told me to come in a little later than I requested my time for (11:45am) because she would be done with her other appointments by then (1pm). I agreed and came in right at 1pm and waited for 10 minutes without ANYONE even acknowledging that I was there. Diane was not done and was working on someone else. I asked about my appointment and she tells me she's going to do one more person ahead of me because they were there first. What the hell was the point of me making an appointment if you still see everyone in the order they walked in?? For you to finish up a manicure and then do a completely new one is going to take a minimum of 1.5 hours. Completely pointless waste of my time. Waiting even though I've made an an appointment is one of my biggest pet peeves. I walked out. I'm not wasting another dime here. read more

Hey ladies! Have you ever been to a nailshop that required payment BEFORE services were rendered? If yes, salutations. If no, prepare to be baffled. My mother & I came here about a year back & my mother was not happy with her nails. She informed a worker, it still was not right & from that point she was rushed out & forced to pay for a job that was not right nor was corrected. Fast forward to today.. I go in to get my nails done. IMMEDIATELY DIANE begins to drill me with questions about a review made by someone else, NOT ME. After asking why a million times, she decided to ask me what I wanted. I showed her, she then asked me to PAY FIRST! PAUSE.... the ONLY reason you're asking me to pay first is because you are unhappy with a TRUE review made, saying it's bad for business. I asked her since when did people have to pay FIRST, she mumbled something of another. My first & ONLY VALID questions was what if I don't like it, you'll tell me I already paid. She then says 'yea well your mom honey...' blah blah! Diane is a somewhat racist & horrible business woman. I am only one of many customers but to request payment before services are rendered all because you are unhappy with a review is absurd. Twin nails & spa are previous workers from Lisa Nails & Spa from imperial Nd Crenshaw (Diana & Towl) Sisters, they have two Salons on Rosecrans. They are very unprofessional I've been going to them since 2000 when they were previous worker at another salon Lisa's before they Dad open these two salon. I'm finally gonna put a review on them because today Diana decided Today to tell me that she can't no longer services me ever again. Mind you I've been going to them before they got they're own salon. I haven't been to there salon since April and I decided to go today. But first she asked how can she help me.(funny)In April Diana first asked me Am I paying with cash(since when do you supposed to ask somebody how they decide to pay there bill). Than she started rushing on my feet,telling me what service ($14)she's gonna give me because she gotta go home. I Normally get the($22) dollar service. They are Very rude and unprofessional Nd not a welcoming place for it to be there new salon. Even there own employees know that they're rude as disrespectful. I have been patronizing Diane's shop since she opened them. She has actually been the only person to touch my feet since 2009, and she was considered a friend until last week. I sat patiently waiting on a pedicure and for her to complete a full set on someone else. I asked for both a manicure and pedicure. Diane always does my pedicures. Some other person did manicure. After service was finished I tipped the manicurist $2 and tipped Diane $1. Diane threw my money back at me and said "I don't want your tip" in English while speaking very loudly to the others in Vietnamese. Her body language and loudness of her voice let me know she was upset about the tip. The money she threw at me landed in pedicure bowl. She was very upset that I didn't tip her more money. I was taken aback by her reaction. I just thanked her again and left the shop. Oh and she had 1 other patrons that were looking at the whole confrontation. I Will NOT be coming to her again.
