I agree with the other bad reviews here.
Don't believe the obvious shills who say "don't believe the bad reviews". Clearly, they work here or are a friend of someone who works here.
My friend and I decided to get our Mani/pedis before a big bachelorette weekend in Vegas.
Then, against my better judgement, we came in again this last Saturday before a big wedding.
Not once but BOTH FUCKING TIMES, they put us in chairs on the opposite ends of the room when there was clearly 2 chairs together. Typically, when people come in to an establishment together, they'd like to SIT together. Is that weird or something?
Anyway, they're all about the UPSELL!!
Gel? GEL?? Callous? Eyebrow? You can't just get through a simple Mani pedi without prodding.
At every turn you're being asked to add on services. Its like a fucking game to them. They're the tough, wall street-esque brokers of nail service. They want to upsell you not just to put more money in their pocket but also because its like a fucking competition to them. Who can shake down more.
if you refuse and manage to avoid the add one you don't want THEYLL DO A PISS POOR JOB on the job you wanted. My manicure was already smudged before I left, I asked the lady to reapply a coat and she rolled her eyes and did it quickly and stormed off. Literally 3 days after that manicure, my nails were chipping.
The last straw is when it comes to paying. They don't itemize everything in front of you, so the guy takes your card, crunches a bunch of numbers on the calculator and then yell out what seems to be an arbitrary number before quickly sliding your card.
And he'll try to get you to pay together so it won't cost them credit card fees. Its bullshit. So fucking cheap these guys are.
So the first time, I pay for me and my friend to hurry things along and because I'm a good friend. The head guy up front raises an eyebrow and asks to see my ID. He didn't ask the other women who just paid for their IDs but I oblige. He then condescendingly tells me to smile then turns around and says "ok! $98!" And jams my card into the machine. I'm taken back and I ask for a fucking breakdown. He goes so fast that I can't keep up. So i ask him to go slower. Hes still keeping his confusing pace. But i finally find out he was gonna charge me for an extra $10 service that neither of us got. The other charges are unfortunately legit because my friend was up sold on gel and got a bunch of stupid scrub services we assumed came with the spa pedicure package. I pay and we leave.
This last time, the nail person I had was much better despite me not getting the gel upgrade (believe that she tried, though) also better wax. When it comes to pay, I take my friend's card (she wasnt done quite yet) and go to the cashier and tell the guy that I'm paying for me (chair #17) and she's paying for herself (chair # 3) . he just stares at me and then smiles and says "oh come on, you can't make me put it on 2 cards?" I smile and shrug and he says "I'm gonna help her first" and helps the last behind me. Then he does it again.
And again.
He takes care of 4 people before trying to help me. Then he takes my card and says "ok, and you're also going to be taking care of this young lady here?"
I assumed he was being "funny" and referring to my friend. I say "no, I'm taking care of me and she's taking care of herself" and he replies "ok let me go check something" then he goes to talk to a different customer and comes back.
"Ok! $57!" And jams my card into the machine
"Um, how is mine $57?"
"Ok, its $32...$22 for the Mani pedi and $10 for wax.."
"Right..."
"And $25 for the girl. So $57!"
"Ok, no, mine is $32. I'm paying for me. Chair 17, ok?"
"Ok...hold on..." He takes out my card and goes away for a while. I give my friend her card back, whose looking at me wondering why I look so confused and increasingly agitated. He comes back and I go back to the counter.
"Ok! Its $57!" and jams my card in again and quickly punches in some numbers.
"Whoa. Ok, wait. How do you keep coming up with $57?"
"Ok, $32 for you, and $25 for her. That little girl over there. You say you pay for her!"
"Um, no! I don't know her! That's not my kid!"
"You said you'd pay for her, that's why I said 'you gonna pay for your little friend, chair 14!"
I already have the less than stellar memories of our last encounter on my mind. I was becoming livid.
"OK SERIOUSLY, Why would I pay for her? She's not my kid! I don't know her! Where would you get that idea? I said 17 and 3!"
He finally backed down when a queue of equally confused ladies were forming behind me.
He charged me the $32 and I signed and left.
My friend was embarrassed by me snapping at the guy but really, you can only get away with so much up charging. I've been mix charged for things in the past and I've corrected it civilly and moved on.
