Gorgeous gorgeous girls don't gatekeep. I've been to Nails N Beyond twice now and had an amazing experience with my nail tech, Lisa, both times. My first time was a on a whim. I was in desperate need of a pedi and an ANC mani and I couldn't get an appointment at my (now former) usual place. Lisa had an opening immediately so I picked my pedi color and my ANC color, popped my AirPods in, and enjoyed the salon chair. There are a ton of colors to choose from and I was thrilled with the quality of services I received. I paid 75 dollars for a pedicure and an ANC manicure complete with shaping my nails into perfect little almonds and a lovely back massage. Three and a half weeks later, my pedi was holding up just fine but my nails had grown out (and I had broken two of them due to housework) so I scheduled an appointment with Lisa. I assumed that my great service the first time was a tease, a ploy to get me back in the door and then the manicure would be sub-par. I was wrong. My nails were cut short so they were all even length. They were filed to cute little almonds again and painted a bubble-gum pink of my choice. I'm giving a 4-star review instead of a 5-star only because Lisa's nail file and buffing block looked like they had been used on someone before me and I felt a bit uncomfortable about someone else's dead skin cells coming in contact with my cuticles. The owner, Harry, suggested I open up a box with them (it's free) and this way I would have my own dedicated file and buffing block for future visits. It seemed like a perfectly good solution so I opened up a box and I'm optimistic about my next appointment with Lisa. read more

I had to go back a few times to show them what was wrong with the ANC job they did. She did a terrible job with the filing and didn't use the drill at the end like usual. Only gave 1 star because that was the lowest. I will attempt to call today to get a different technician. I said I was going to an event. These are terrible. I am not paying another Salon. This was my first time visiting this salon, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. I have never had to call 911 for help in my life, but this situation escalated to that point. I came in on Thursday, March 19 for a full set and paid $83 plus a $5 tip. By March 21, the gel polish had already started peeling, which should not happen so soon. I returned on Sunday, March 22 to show them the condition of my nails. Instead of taking responsibility, the manager told me my nails were "too short" and suggested adding tips something that was never clearly explained or required during my initial visit. Due to a language barrier, I asked to speak to the owner, but I was told the owner was not available. While they began fixing my nails, I was suddenly told it would cost an additional $45. This was never communicated beforehand. When I again asked to speak to the owner, the manager refused to contact them. Only after I dialed 911 did they finally call the owner. At that point, I chose to leave with my nails unfinished and accept the loss of my money because I no longer trusted the quality of service. What started as an $83 service turned into an attempt to charge me more for correcting poor work. As a customer, I felt disrespected, unheard, and uncomfortable. I would have given them a zero but that wasn't an option. I initially went on a whim to be a walk-in for a pedicure in the morning but was told there was not an availability. I made a 4:00 appointment in their book for the same day. There were no other appointments scheduled around that time. I arrived to my appointment and everyone was busy. I waited 30 minutes with no pedicure started, so I left. I can't understand how with an appointment scheduled that I had to wait. Maybe having an appointment looks good in the books but not in the chair. I will not go again. read more

I have never had anything but a good experience at this salon myself. My daughter is a regular here and has always come back with lovely nails. The owner always remembers her and is pleasant. I've also witnessed first hand customers making a fuss over not understanding what the different services are and even then the owner was very diplomatic. Some of these pictures don't look good but I don't know who did them because it doesn't look anything like the work we've seen. The price is right and the staff are friendly and the nails came out beautiful. read more

It's WAYYY over priced and the water was cold the lady didn't know what she was doing I had to tell her to cut my nails when she did she broke my nail and had to glue it. Then when filing she made them pointy I had to ask her once again to fix them and when I wanted gel she used regular polish and then put gel base over it and still charged me $50!! These are the worst nails I've ever had. I went in asking for a gel french.. "Susan" said no, get ANC, Pick ANC color. I said I wanted a French she said gel french would be 55 ANC only 45. I agreed to ANC. She insisted I keep them square (and I should have) because the oval tips I wanted are atrocious and uneven. She didnt smooth out the hardened ANC, just kept dipping them.. then a woman came in and said "Susan can I get a pedicure" so Susan added a top coat to my lumpy nails and called it a day. The people and owners were extremely sweet and kind, main reason they get 3 stars. I got short coffin shaped acrylics for my mani, and even though the beginning of the nail appointment went great I realized that after the initial cut and file she started to rush and hurry, causing her more mistakes and making the job very clumpy and lumpy. Also, 15 mins after I got home, my middle mail smudged even though the male worker there checked my nails and gave me the all good to go. I am a big fan of a pedi I even during Covid. So knowing I was going on a mini vacation for memorial day weekend I decided to get a pedicure close to home. What I didn't know was it would be a "S"pedicure. This process took less than 10 minutes with little to no massage and a very sloppy polish application that chipped off 4 days later. Live and learn. The lady that did my nails was nice but for $40 I did not like the way my ANC turned out. A lot of the nails turned out too bumpy and some of shapes of the nails were off. I hate that I was disappointed with the way that my nails turned out but I've gotten a gel manicure here before and they looked great before, but I'm not happy with trying out ANC here. read more

The salon is pretty average looking, but the service was amazing! I had a spa pedi done (I chose French), my total was $30. The service included (in addition to regular spa pedi stuff) a lengthy leg massage, paraffin on my heels, and a nice shoulder massage when you move to the drying station. The technician didn't really talk to me, but I'm honestly not here to chat. The chairs are nice/new/comfortable and the service was fast. I'm going to be loyal to this place! read more

This place is fantastic. Every other place I go to, I rate in relation to this place. So far, it has remained my all time favorite. Decor: The place is big, clean, modern and serene. If you go more than one time, they offer to start a box for you with your own file and buffer. They then keep your name on file with your box number. When you return, you simply retrieve your box. This is great and makes you truly appreciate their sense of hygiene. The staff is really nice. They offer you coffee, soda or water every time. The actual manicure/pedicures are devine. They use a warm salt scrub before they lotion your hands to exfoliate your hands/lower arms. This scrub really smoothes the skin and makes your hands feel brand new. They then apply lotion while giving a very good and relaxing massage. Although I no longer live upstate NY, every time I go through the area.. i make a point to stop and get a manicure/pedicure here. read more

Wow, this place has really gone downhill. My Mom and I have been loyal customers to Nails N Beyond since we moved up here 4 years ago. Unfortunately, since it changed hands, my experiences have been awful to say the least. I do not recognize any of the new employees, and the guy who runs the place might be the rudest person I have ever encountered in my life. Until my experience today, I have never felt so compelled to write a negative review of a place that I used to love so much. What ever happened to Sunny and the gang? Please come back! I now live downstate, but when I come up to visit my Mom, we like to get our nails done together. For the past two times since I've been there under the new management, I can honestly say that Nails N Beyond has changed for the worst. This past summer, my Mom and I waited an hour to get our nails done even after we had already made an appointment. The manager just kept saying five minutes, five minutes, and didn't even offer an apology. I chalked it up to them being short handed, but after today's experience, I realized that the new guy clearly does care about his customers PERIOD. My friends who used to also go there have also reported similar experiences to me recently, and I realize I should have listened to them before going to get my nails done today. When we went today- again after making an appointment- my mom waited over an hour. She needed gel tips, and I was just getting a regular manicure, but apparently, there was only one employee who could apply the tips. You would think the manager would do her nails instead, but after he was done with one client, he moved on to another woman that arrived after us. After my nails were dry, my Mom was too tired to wait any longer- who could blame her after an hour of waiting? To put icing on the cake, my step dad wanted to treat me as my Christmas present, but they would not take his credit card because he was not there. He does this throughout the year as a treat to us, and the previous owners of Nails N Beyond were quite familiar with this, but the new manager said that was not possible. He not so much even looked up from his chair when I said we have been loyal customers of this place for quite a while, and have never been treated like this. He ignored me, and even when I remarked that I would be posting a bad review to every site I could possibly find Nails N Beyond on, he again, dismissed me. I paid and then left. The fact that they wouldn't take the card does not bother me, but the overall poor customer service and the aloof attitudes we have encountered each time we have gone there recently is deeply disturbing. It is sad that the new management treats the loyal customer base that the old gang left behind so poorly. I went to nails and beyond for a pedicure without any water or soap on my feet girl took out cheese grader and scrapped my feet until they bleed I was crying telling her to stop. I had to go to doctors because of this got infection. Don't waste your money going there. Horrible experience. I called health dept on them. They said not first call about them . I've been coming here on and off for the past five years. At first, it was hit or miss with the occasional rushed pedicure. More recently, it seems they consistently provide poor service. They rush and try to add on a bunch of $10 services throughout your pedicure. $45 for a french mani/pedi. I was a walk in and taken right away. Although I felt he didn't do such a good job with "buffering" my feet (heels and such) the hot "gel" (or whatever it was) he placed on my heels while he was painting them was a nice touch. For the mani, my hands were dipped it warm wax, and I was giving a shoulder/ back massage while they sat. My nails came out great but I felt like he could've taken a little more time and effort on the feet/ leg massage. read more

I have been to nails and beyond about three or four times just because it is close to my house. Everytime I went there I left very disappointed. Every nail tech has a huge attitude, and they rush the whole experience. I went to just get my nails (anc) removed and the nail tech charged me ten dollars. All she did was soak them in acetone and file it off. I always get my nails done, and they had the nerve to charge my five extra dollars. They always seem to take advantage of their customers, and all that is on their mind is that dollar sign. Last time I went, (a yr. ago) I said I would never return..however, today was rushed for time and just needed a fill..I was so nearby I stopped..I wish I never did.. After the girl already started on a fill..her MGR. came over and started talking..then she begins to inform me that they will charge $30 for my fill. I said "what? for a fill and 1 repair??" I said absolutely not!! Also I only have nine nails to do ever..I never do my left pinky because of injury yrs. ago..so I was insulted!! The absolute worst experience I have ever had. I had been going to Pretty Nails down the road for about a year. This weekend I broke 2 acrylic nails off so I was in need of a fix/fill badly. Pretty Nails was busy so I went up to Nails & Beyond thinking it would work out. There is more acrylic stuck to my fingers than on my nails. They are all different shapes & lengths, and are way too thick. I walked out, I asked how much I owed for her time so far and left. I will never go back. This place should be closed.
