Clean, gentle, not rushed. It's the simple things, but they make this salon stand out (a lot of salons can't even get that right!) Great service. Attention to detail even on simple polish. And while being an organic / non-toxic salon wasn't the draw for me, that choice was made with care and intention which is evident in every other aspect of the salon. I've been here multiple times because it's close to me and I genuinely wanted to like this place and continue coming back. The overall experience felt rushed and not very professional. On one visit, while my mom was getting her pedicure, Brianna said "Done!" fairly loudly to Mervat, almost as if they were trying to beat the clock, even though no one else was there. Another time, a walk-in said she couldn't wait very long, and Brianna told her she was "almost done," even though she had literally just started on my mom. It just gave the impression that finishing quickly was more important than providing a careful, relaxing experience. On my second visit, I was getting a pedicure from Brianna when she asked Mervat to help because she was "too scared" and wasn't sure how to properly work around my cuticles. She said this fairly loudly, which made me uncomfortable. Mervat ended up taking over and pulled too aggressively at my cuticles around my toe. Unfortunately after that visit, I developed a painful infection in that area. Mervat was very sweet, but unfortunately I won't be returning. read more

Very disappointing experience. This nail salon advertises that they are open until 7 PM and also states that walk-ins are welcome. I arrived around 5:30 PM, an hour and a half before closing, and requested a pedicure. The woman working told me she was already on her last client and didn't have time to see me today. I completely understand if a salon is fully booked or unable to accommodate additional clients, but then advertising "walk-ins welcome" and hours until 7 PM is misleading. If you stop accepting customers well before your posted closing time, that should be clearly communicated so people don't waste their time driving over expecting service. I would have called ahead had I known that "walk-ins welcome" apparently doesn't apply during the salon's advertised business hours. Unfortunately, this left a very poor first impression and I won't be returning. read more

I'm beyond excited that this new nail salon has opened! Nails from Nature is an organic salon located in Redondo Beach along Artesia Blvd. I used to go to Nails @ 907 (MB) but that salon closed abruptly and unexpectedly years ago, so it's been ages since I've been able to see my favorite nail esthetician Angela who is meticulous and exceptionally skilled at manis and pedis. I found out she joined the team at Nails from Nature (which was opened by a 907 esthie) so I couldn't wait to check this place out to have her do my nails again. I saw Angela this weekend, and she was as great as ever. I got the "Refreshing Sweet Orange Pedicure," which included a soak with actual fresh cut up lemons, an orange scrub and mask, brief massage, hot stones and hot towel wrap. My pet peeve with other nail salons is being rushed, cut/pinched/yanked, or splotchy and sloppy paint jobs, but Angela has a gentle approach, takes her time and polishes to the ACTUAL edges of the nails(!) while shaping precisely and painting evenly. I can't recommend her enough. Also, even though I wasn't looking for an organic nail salon, I actually love that this is a non-toxic place. When you walk in, you don't get the usual toxic smell of a nail salon. I was told they don't do acrylics here, which means none of those chemical smells or dust that come with that. It felt like a place where I couldn't breathe easily. As part of their non-toxic-ness, they use the premium brand Dazzle Dry (IFYKYK) for their regular non-gel polish. They have a huge selection of colors, probably the largest selection of Dazzle Dry I've ever seen! I first learned about DD back at Nails @ 907 and have been hooked since so I'm glad they use it here as their standard go-to. This salon also has snacks(!) and coloring books with markers and crayons, and this was super great because my daughter was able to keep herself busy while waiting for me to finish up. Again, because there aren't toxic smells in this salon I was really comfortable having my little one come inside. Pricing is very reasonable, especially considering it's a non-toxic place and the quality products they use here (seriously that Dazzle Dry) and of course the service. As you leave you're invited to grab a little bottle of cuticle oil to keep your nails feeling nourished long after your visit. It's easy to pre-book your appointment online. They respond quickly to your appointment request to confirm you have your spot. They say they take walk-ins, but I have a feeling this place is going to get really busy soon, so an appointment is key. The salon is located in a shopping center that houses Menchie's froyo, (my fave) Bluesalt Fish Grill, and the Mediterranean fast casual restaurants Al Hama and Chicken Dijon. Disappointing Experience My facial tech Ciara very unprofessional herself and fingers smelled like marijuana, my face immediately broke out the next day. I'm honestly very disappointed with my facial experience. The service did not meet my expectations, and I left feeling like my time and money were not well spent. Like all the other reviews have said the salon had an inviting , clean, and relaxing atmosphere. Unlike typical nail salons there wasn't a strong chemical odor or any chemical smell in the shop. I got a pedicure and it was done very well. It was neat and not rushed. I appreciated the fact they used dazzle dry. The attention to detail was fabulous. I also got a facial by cici. It was my first facial so I didn't know what to expect. My only complaint was that the service ended. I'm already thinking of my next appointment. She walked me through the steps and evaluated my skin in a caring way. Her hands were gentle and the quality was there. Not t mention she does an amazing massage.
