I've been coming here for over a year but this last visit was my last. I started coming here because I started growing out my eyebrows and wanted to avoid over tweezing at home. See my included picture to see how thin one of my eyebrows was made and they definitely do not look symmetrical or match. All I ask for is a light clean up as I did not want them thinned out. I will say the nicest my eyebrows ever looked here they were done by the older woman who I believe to be the owner but the last 4 months when I've gone it's the younger woman working solo. I should have stopped coming 2 visits ago when the shape wasn't exactly what I wanted but I thought maybe it was due to my hair growing back odd. I've been coming here for 2 years now, but every time I visit lately I am disappointed. The price has been way inflated within the past year. The service has also declined.. the girls on staff don't announce the names from the sign in sheet leaving confusion of who is next. The last 3 times I have been cut in line after waiting 15+ minutes, today was my final straw so I walked out. Additionally the cleanliness of their process has changed. When I was sitting and waiting my turn, I noticed the employees put the thread in their mouths frequently. I had been tweezing my own eyebrows for years and had a defined shape and reiterated that to the threader (not Tara) that I wanted to maintain the fullness. She didn't have much to say and obviously couldn't make my eyebrows grow back right that instant so all I could do was pay and leave. Tara's is open again! So so happy to see the girls again and so thankful to have my eyebrows finally tamed! Process is a little different these days, sign in at the door and wait your turn to come in. Once in, it's 1 on 1 with just you and your threader so very COVID compliant. Right when you sit down they spray down the seat and lay down a paper head cover. One thing to note is that they're not doing the post toner nor temple massage afterwards just to lower the time you're in chair and for COVID safety. Extremely disappointed at the service. I'm not sure how they have such high reviews. I am here on vacation for few weeks and went in for eyebrows cleanup. The place is a little dim so hard to see clearly but when I got home there were so many little hairs... I'm not sure what she even did shape with scissors a little?! She spent time on my brows but she just didn't seem skilled or confident with the thread. During my layover in Atlanta in my way to lax, I looked up the closest place to my Airbnb that had high yelp ratings for threading. I was amazed to see Tara's and decided to Uber there from the airport (it was about $16 on Uber pool) This place lives up to the hype and then some. 1. It hurt the least amount it ever has before and I've had it done many places. 2. She massages your brows and temples for about the same amount of time she took to thread. This is included in the $7!!! I was so relaxed After I was basically drunk and couldn't think of what I needed to do next. The place is bare bones but very very clean. As I turned my usual corner I noticed a huge sign for threading and I took an immediate right! I had my brows threaded by a very young woman and I was shocked at the amazing work she had done! Came here for the first time last night based on Yelp reviews. I used to have my eyebrows beautifully shaped by a beautician who recently retired. The last time I had my eyebrows threaded was in May. Since I was in dire need to have them reshaped and cleaned, I thought why not give Tara's a try...after all they have 4.5 stars, 185 reviews. I wish I remembered the name of the lady who did my eyebrows. My eyebrows are 2 different sizes! One thick, one thinner. I wished I would have caught that last night so shame on me for not rechecking in the car under different lighting. I had a very busy night so didn't get to check until this morning and so disappointed. Thank goodness it's at least hair and will grow back. I just wanted to refresh my review from 8 years ago (2015). I am very lucky to have Tara to depend on for my threading needs and picky preferences. I was on and off with this location because I had just moved to the area and ended up going to Zibas because I knew the brand from the Downey Stonewood location, however when covid happened and I went months without someone threading my eyebrows I wanted to go somewhere where they can shape my forehead and my eyebrows again. I went back to Tara's and didn't ever look back. I normally get in every 2 weeks for a retouch. Tara is very considerate and always asks if I want something different or any adjustments and I asked for more arch just a minimal change. Tara did such a great job I get accused of getting a eyebrow arch procedure to my face (had no idea those were a thing). Sometimes in the evenings there is a wait but it's always worth it for the service I'm getting. I'm saddened to read the 1 star reviews as I have not had any misunderstandings or witnessed bad interactions here. My main gal is Tara but her other threadists have a loyal customer base as well! First time here & I really enjoyed the experience. I really felt like I was doing self-care, ahhh. The girl, didn't get her name but she had glasses, was very sweet & took her time. I also like the fact that when she finished threading she asked if I wanted my eyebrows trimmed. She also then asked if I wanted rose water on them. First time I got rose water on them & loved it! As far as waiting, I didn't have to wait at all, but I went on a Monday at 10am. The only reason a 4 instead of a 5 is because I would have liked them a little thinner maybe on the top. But, maybe it wouldn't go well with my face or eyebrow shape. The reason I say that is because my regular eyebrow lady gives me a similar thickness. So....I have no idea why this place didn't show up in my searches all these years until today. It's much closer to where I am than this other place that is farther east on the other side of town. I came in around lunch time on a Tuesday and there were just two people sitting in chairs getting their brows threaded . So there was no wait. The place is very clean, with LOTS of magazines, nicely scented with incense and colorfully decorated. The lady who worked on my brows did an awesome job , took her time, and asked questions as she went along. I'm giving them 4 instead of 5 stars because they actually don't do brow tinting which is what I usually get. But I do have a brow tinting kit at home that I guess I could start using again to perfect my skills! I'm a fan and will be back! Cheers! read more

Recently moved to another state, but this was def one of my spots in the South Bay whenever I was in the area in need to get my eyebrows done. This place never disappointed. The ladies are good at precision and listening to your needs, there's always nice back and fourth communication. the service is welcoming. Love how there's relaxing zen music playing in the background while your just laying back getting eyebrows threaded. Previously took my teenage daughter in and the woman made her eyebrows way too THIN! I went in again today for myself and seen a different young lady, I specifically told her to "keep my eyebrows thick and clean them up". Walked in around 10:45, and there was nobody else (just one client leaving as I was coming in). Had my eyebrows done by Arju, who did a really great job. She listened to my preferences and kept my brows clean but not too thin. She's also super gentle and takes her time to get it right, which I really appreciated. Will definitely be back! :) P.S. All three girls are awesome and they leave your eyebrows looking beautiful. I rarely call to make an appointment because it usually only takes like 10 minutes( at most) to be seated. I've been coming here for years and I can honestly say I love my eyebrows every time. I usually just get a "clean up" because I prefer my eyebrows to be a bit on the thick side. Ever since Binju went "out of town" a couple of months ago, this place has gone downhill! Some new lady there thinned out my eyebrows after I repeatedly told her to just clean them up and keep them thick. I went back a few weeks later and this time Tara did my eyebrows, she also didn't listen and made my eyebrows even thinner, after months of trying to grow them out! And to top it off Tara got annoyed when I pointed out the patches she left on my eyebrows and other hairs she missed. I will not let anyone but Binju touch my eyebrows. Love this place. It's my go-to 100%. Been coming here for years. Was so annoyed when they closed because of Covid. Still my favorite threading place. Soothing music, clean establishment and I've never walked out disappointed with my eyebrows. She does a quick 2-minute forehead massage at the end of the threading. It almost makes me forget all the pain I endured minutes before. I honestly left this place in tears. I asked for a clean up and a small arch (specifically saying I don't like a big arch). There was a newer lady that I had who threaded my eyebrows extremely thin after telling her specifically that I like my eyebrows to be thick. She also made my eyebrows look more far apart and they are not even. I came here for years and always left so happy with what they've done. But after this, I refuse to come here ever again.
