Good experience overall. I was in and out in about five minutes for an underarm waxing, and the process was very efficient. It's a small space with about two curtained stalls, but it works well for what it is. Payment and checkout were quick and easy. The only challenge was finding the place since it's inside the mall. I ended up calling for directions once I got near the Victoria's Secret. Parking is also a bit farther out on either end of the plaza, just due to the layout. read more

$10 eyebrow threading, no long waiting, clean atmosphere, friendly employees... it's been years since I've had my brows threaded and it was my daughters first time. Sauci was patient and calm with my daughter who's eyes kept watering, she moved slowly to give us the opportunity and preference to go thinner instead of straight going to the point of no return. Overall decent service and you can't beat the price. read more

So this review is for a deeply disturbing service I got today from PRAMILA! I have been going here since they opened and to the same person. I have always just asked for clean up and PRAMILA knows me pretty well. For some reason, she was not in a good mood today and decided to take off so much more than what was needed. When I asked her why she increased the gap between my brows she straight up denied and said "no no when you lie down, it looks fine". Excuse me??? I am not going to spend my life lying down and I actually have to stand up and live my life, I look like a cartoon right now. To anyone that goes here, please make sure she is in a good mood or she will f**k up your brows and what you might have been growing for years. She doesn't give a flying F**k about what you might look like and what you ask for. I still tipped her and obviously paid for the service because this isn't about monies. To the girlies who understand what it takes to grow your brows, BEWARE of this lady's attitude and work. She acts like she knows what she is doing but sadly her pathetic behavior ruined my day and my eyebrows. read more

Not impressed at all sadly. I went here to get my eyebrows threaded since being referred by a friend and let's just say I won't be back. Even his sister wasn't impressed by how her brows were threaded here, so I know it wasn't just me.. My eyebrows were threaded so unevenly & obvious to the point that my mom noticed as well so I went back into the shop shortly after staring at my uneven brows in my car mirror, to get them somewhat fixed after the brow lady butchered & threaded the sharp ends of my brows off.. Although the lady was kind (an older lady with glasses), she didn't listen to my suggestions when I told her I should more than likely sit up so she can ensure that my brows are evened out like I would do at my other brow shop because one brow is a bit smaller than the other but I guess it went over her head. I stumbled upon this place a couple weeks ago while walking in the mall. i'm new to the are and needed a new brow lady badly. i finally decided to make an appointment and used their online scheduling system which was soo easy and quick. upon entering the shop, i noticed how clean the place was and how welcoming the vibes were too. Pramila threaded my whole face and was super kind and gentle throughout. i have extremely sensitive skin and the thread she used hasn't caused any flares/rashes thankfully. I popped in around 10 in the morning on a weekday and it was quick and easy to get a spot. There was one young lady getting her brows done before me and then I was taken right away. This place is brand new and is very clean and plays some fun upbeat music. Parking is available in the structure and then walk in to the mall close to the furniture store. Just moved to the area and was happy to find out there was a threading establishment in the Manhattan Beach mall. The women here are great and take their time with each client. Stumbled upon this space while shopping, I've been considering microblading so when I saw the pricing I thought I'd give them a shot. My 3 year old was with me so I was hesitant but the technician was very personable and great with my son while we waited the 7-10 minutes needed for the tint to set. I was told it would last 2weeks so I will follow up. She asked all the right questions, what do I usually do with my brows, what shape and color do I prefer and so on. I got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded here on a weekday while I waited for my appointment at the Apple Store. I came in and was attended right away. The store itself is very new, clean and I love the ambience and vibe it gives. A pretty young lady attended me and did a wonderful job on my brows. Ultimately, my wife couldn't sleep that night and woke up with a lot of red bumps all around her vaginal area. Spots where it look like she was burnt. She had to go to urgent care for treatment. Her "studio" is located in The Face Place & More Skin & Body Care, sharing the space with Linda Hirsch, Cloud 9 Massage, SkinFX, & Advanced Skincare By Marilyn. Services include anti-aging/acne facials (Luminesce, Acne Complex, Sun Undone, Resurgence, Back, Youth Building, Chinese Gua Sha, AHA Rapid Exfoliator, Men's) & waxing (Chin/Lip/Sideburns, Brow/Underarm, Traditional Bikini, Playboy Bikini, 1/2 Leg, Full Leg/Back/Chest). The facials are customized to client's needs & 50+ min. facials include additional services. I used to alternate between Luminesce, AHA Rapid Exfoliator, & Resurgence as a Murad client. Since reconnecting, I've been booking the CHINESE FACIAL GUA SHA (detoxification of face, neck, & shoulders with special jade gua sha technique; combats aging, reduces inflammation & puffy eyes, decreases pore sizes, help speed up cell regeneration, reduces stress) on a monthly basis to clean my face healthy & glowing. As mentioned in the previous review, a good esthetician should recommend a different method than your standard MO because your skin changes with age, sun exposure/the elements, etc. Susan ALWAYS does just that at each appointment, adjusting the technique, timing of each process, etc. And if you're a new client, she explains what product & process in each step. At times, I don't even have to point out the problem areas because she spots these changes under the magnifying glass & adjust the treatment to rebalance & rejuvenate my skin. Sometimes Susan focuses more on my face, & other times when I'm rather stressed/tensed, she spends a little more time on the mini massage to remove the kinks & knots in my shoulders & neck. I showed the first stylist multiple reference photos of what I wanted, but she ended up adding a very dark root color to my already lightened hair, which was the complete opposite of the look I asked for. After expressing my concerns, the salon did have another stylist step in to help correct it, which I appreciated, although I waited nearly two hours in between. The second stylist made me feel much more comfortable and did improve the situation, but I still left unhappy with my hair overall. The correction consisted of using a color remover on the roots and applying toner to the rest of my hair, and I was charged $265 for it. At the end of the day, my hair looked better than what the first stylist did but still nowhere near what I originally asked for or envisioned. I'm leaving this review because I think communication and transparency are incredibly important, especially with color services. What upset me most was not just the outcome, but the way the situation was handled overall. I understand that corrections can take time and effort, but if I was going to be charged $265 for a corrective service after my hair was initially mishandled, that should have been clearly communicated to me beforehand. I truly wanted to love this salon and leave feeling taken care of, but unfortunately I left feeling disappointed, uncomfortable, and unhappy with the overall experience.

It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.
