MB Nails & Spa and their staff were so lovely over the phone, when you enter, and they treat you very sweetly and the work is just beautiful. I showed a photo of what I like and they totally delivered. I love my nails so much and received many compliments. The french tip on my teenie toes were impeccable. Upon completion, they recommended cuticle oil, did not push on sale items and they reminded me to take care of my hand and nails so they last. They certainly did last. I found my new place. I used to go to Nail Garden and Mod Nails. This place is close to me. It is easy. It is reasonable with the basic mani and pedi at $55. Service was quick, efferent and worth it. Will definitely return soon. read more

Personally i was very upset when i got my acrylic nails done here. However, when they do regular nails, they come out good. They also tend to be good at pedicures, but it depends on the nail tech for sure. As for public restrooms, they do tend to be on the stingier side, but to be fair it is a very small salon. There is maybe five or six pedicure chairs in the salon. It's a much closer or more intimate experience, so definitely be aware of that before going. Overall, they have very nice colors to choose from. The color selection is probably the best at this salon, as they have a lot of different and unique colors. I definitely think this salon has a chance to thrive much more, they could definitely expand their salon. Maybe as a franchise, sometime in the future. read more

It pains me to leave this review. Tina, who has done my finger nails for a little while and is great, and I highly recommend her. This review is for my pedicures only. This is the second time I have developed a nasty toe nail infection from a pedicure at MB Nails. The first time was 12 weeks ago and the nail tech dug in so hard to the side of my big toe nail that she created an infection that turned into an ingrown toe nail. I waited the infection out, talked to Tina about it when she asked multiple times during later appts why I wasn't getting pedicures anymore. 2 weeks ago the infection was much better and 99% healed so I decided to get a pedicure again, but made sure to notify Tina AND the nail tech to NOT TOUCH THAT toe! 2 other nail techs heard the discussion so at this point, the whole salon was clear to not touch that toe and only work around it. 10 minutes in to the nail appointment, and the nail technician poked so hard inside of the nail corner rein-flaming the infection . "I forgot" she told me!!!! Well, this little oversight on the nail techs part is now a massive infection, requiring antibiotics, surgery, 2 visits to both my regular doctor and a podiatrist, 3X day wound care and painkillers! The skin all-around the area has peeled off from the heat of the infection and it is extremely painful. I am having trouble walking and doing normal day to day tasks at home & work, I am in so much pain! These are the only 2 times I've ever had infections on my toes ever. I love Tina and she does a great job on my finger nails. I write this review because the other techs that work there are careless. 2 times infection is inexcusable. It has affected both my quality of life and my job. Finding a great nail salon in the South Bay is nearly impossible, and I hope MB Nails can turn their staff around so this problem doesn't happen again to any of their clientele. read more

I came to this business for the first time. When I walked in no one acknowledged me. No welcome, hi or anything it was awkward. Finally a gal asks if she can help me. I say I want a fill and I pick a color. Then I mention her application was a little thick and I got a smart remark in a harsh tone of she's not done yet. She got smart a few times and I had ro remind her I'm a customer and to be nice! So long story short, her negativity caused me to minus the tip she so aggressively sought when it came time to pay. I had my nails done here a few weeks ago. It was super affordable, but it was really busy and they rushed through my service. My dip manicure came out pretty lopsided, and the tips started lifting after about a week. Once things started getting caught underneath, it got pretty gross. I've been a customer here for quite some time but after my recent experiences, I'll never return. Over my last three gel pedicures, I noticed the price fluctuated by about $10 each time for the same service. When I politely asked Sunny if the prices had changed, she became visibly upset and defensive, saying they hadn't. The worst part of my visit was the toe infection I got from a pedicure Sunny did. During the appointment, she cut my cuticle too aggressively, even after I told her she was hurting me and asked her to stop. I left the salon in pain and noticeably overcharged. By the next day, my toe was swollen, throbbing, and oozing. I ended up needing antibiotics and pain medication, and I couldn't walk on that foot for a while. The strain on my other leg from compensating led to sciatic nerve pain, which also required treatment. Throughout this ordeal, I kept Sunny informed sharing pictures and calling her with updates. She apologized and promised me a free pedicure once I recovered. But when I called to schedule it, she not only refused to honor her word, she hung up on me. To make matters worse, after I bled during the service. I saw her use the same tools without sanitizing them on the next client. read more

**DON'T GO HERE- ZERO STARS** My gf got a full set of nails twice and they broke within a few days each time. They also tack on charges for things you didn't ask for but they take upon themselves to do. Also VERY insistent on tipping to the point it feels awkward. I've been here for years, but this was my last visit. I usually do walk-in service and I should have chosen a person when they did my French tip pedicure correctly. The technician started cutting my nails before asking me what shape I wanted. Then when I showed her the style I wanted and she told me that my nails were the wrong shape . She didn't put lotion on my feet and asked me multiple times which color I wanted and asked if I wanted gel when I made clear my preferences. I wanted to walk out and just pay for the soak and scrub and go elsewhere for the French tip, but I didn't. Lesson learned. read more

So they are clean, open, and have a lock down on covid health plastic barriers without being trashy. That part was impressive. Otherwise, unsure if I'd ever return. My gel manicure came out okay. The polish was super thin and I had to ask for a third coat for it to be an even application. The manicurist was already doing final top coat and it looked like an uneven hot mess. There wasn't a line of people waiting for their appointments, so I don't know why there was a rush. I felt like she was just rushing to finish rather than do a quality job. Massage chair was nice and new. Water for soaking my feet for the pedicure and my fingers for the manicure was cold which was weird. And my cuticles on my hands and feet are somewhat better, but could have used more attention as you can see in the photo. Also their "massage" for your hands and feet was more just like they were petting me. Was so light it tickled! Guess I'll just have to keep looking for a nail salon. Now this is my new favorite nail spot. They took me as a walk-in on a Saturday despite how busy they were, they make room! I needed dip removed from my nails (for a wedding) and I didn't want to do it on my own. The women that run this salon are on IT and very nice, even handling my nails and my skin, they were gentle and got the job done. I brought in my own polish and chose a color thats a little more difficult for me to put on. She polished my nails at a rapid speed and with zero mistakes, flawless. Wouldn't come back here again. A few things - 1. When removing your pre-existing gel they are very lazy and just hack at your nail with the automatic file. They literally burn it to the ground. They could have just let it sit for an extra minute. 2. I had to ask the lady 3 time to make the pedicure straight. My toe looked like it had a curve 3. They quoted me a different price on the phone than they charged 4. They try to upcharge you for a normal pedicure. All in all - if you're in a jam and have nowhere to go and don't mind spending a lot of money for a bad service, this is your place. read more

So disappointed Appointment Time: had a 1:30 appointment and waited 20+ minutes before be attended to. Pedicurist: I would give her 5-stars. Wish I had gotten her name but she was the best part of the experience. Manicurist: Nails looked fine but she wasn't friendly, I believe she may be a manager as she is the one that's jerked me out. Checkout: although they clearly take credit cards she asks me to pay cash. I said I do t have enough and she said "there's an ATM down the street. Huh? You'd rather inconvenience your clients then pay the credit card fees? Total should have been $75 but she charged me $78. Then an additional $2 for using a credit card. Overall this was a nice experience. My gel mani was $33 including the removal of my previous gel. They were able to take me right away which was nice, even though they were pretty busy on a Sunday morning. I was given the gel colors to look through for a bit and then they took off my old gel. The technicians were nice but I ended with a different one than I started with. She did two coats of gel but there were a few nails that seemed like they could use another coat so I asked and she happily did a third coat for me. The lotion afterwards felt nice on my hands and I love the shape of my nails. They really do look nice, now I just hope they last! It's been over 3 weeks since I got my nails done for the first time at MB Nails with Sunny. I wanted to wait to post to make sure my nails lasted a while and that I was happy with them. I can say that I'm super impressed with how they turned out!! I asked for pink and white ombré acrylics but Sunny recommended I do the dip powder because it'd be better for my nails. They turned out so pretty and I've gotten so many compliments on them. Highly recommend! Because my nails are shorter, I get tips glued on prior to the dip powder to add length and after 3 weeks they're still on! Very grown out now but they haven't chipped or broken off.
