Do not go here! Yesterday was my first and last time here. I came for a Brazilian wax and got all my skin ripped off. On top of that, I had a small ingrown that was beneath the skin, the waxer pulled out a needle that looked like a tac and started poking me without permission. I started bleeding from that. I told her I scared of infection and she kept bullying me to relax and let her do her work. She also waxed in small sections and then tweezed after each section which is just torture. It was the most traumatic experience ever. At the end, she just put the tweezers in a random box and sprayed them with disinfectant, she didn't soak them..even after my blood was on them. I really hate to write a bad review but I'm traumatized, so please save your time and money and go somewhere else. Also, just to put into perspective how bad it is, my original waxer (who i cheated on to come here) recommended that i go to urgent care for a burn cream prescription. read more

Erika was fast, funny (not that you need to be hearing jokes while Winnie the Poohing it in a salon), and uses her own, all-natural honey that she makes on-site. My first time going to Erika and it was a good experience. Its been a little over a week and I haven't had any signs of my usual, terrible, painful ingrown hairs. The studio was clean and she was extremely thorough with the process. Her price is reasonable at $40. Which you can't beat for quality service! I was previously going to EWC, so I was nervous about switching from hard wax back to soft wax with strips. The pain wasn't bad. The honey must help ease the pain. It was probably equal to the pain when using hard wax. I was a little tender for a day or 2, but I'm thinking that's because it had been about 2 months since my last wax. Booked a Brazilian waxing appointment online. Without contacting me it got moved half an hour. Ok that's fine. Then it cancelled on me later that week. She called to say ignore the cancellation and to just come in. Ok. She was very nice. Facility looked clean. She started her work and when I looked up when she was more than halfway done I had noticed she was using only 1 wax stick dipping back and forth into the wax jar. Also noticed she used only 1 waxing cloth strip for my entire Brazilian going over used portions of the strip. It caused painful tackiness and breaking all the hairs instead of pulling it by the root. This surprised me because usually estheticians use a fresh stick for every dip for cleanliness and multiple wax strips to ensure a good grip on the hairs when waxing. I told her I was concerned of cleanliness when we spoke on the phone before my appt. "Don't worry honey I'm very clean". Ok so I kept my appt. Afterwards I rushed home to take a shower and tend to myself. I still ended up with inflammation, lots of stubble and ingrown hairs in less than a week. :( read more

All good things must come to a end. Now, Erica does great, great work but my last encounter with her was incomplete. I always get underarms and Brazilian wax , but this time she didn't do underarms due to she had a importamt call come through and she was shushing me. ( I understood that but you run a business ) I am a customer of almost 2 years and I get the same services. As she was on an important call I left the money on her chester dresser according to price listed and left My service according to the price chart was $30.00 due to she didn't do the other service that I normally get. Later that day she text me and said, I owed her $5.00 for the , I said ok I will bring it by. She asked, me did I still want to get underarms done? I said yes. She said, she will call me in a couple of days to let me know if a customer cancel because her schedule is booked. I am a paying customer too and my service wasn't complete. I said, ok. But when she didn't call me after a week. I went by and put the 5.00 in an envelope and put it on her door (I could hear she was with a client) and text her to tell her I put the money I owe you on your door. She texted me back and said thank you. She never asked me if I still wanted the service that she didn't complete, or say I apologize for not getting back with you or nothing. Mind you I am writing this 6 weeks late and still no call. Maybe that was a hint. read more

All I can say is WOW! I just moved here from NYC and finding a wax technician from Brazil was top on my list. You may be thinking why I would want a tech from Brazil but believe me the Brazilian technique with body waxing is phenomenal. I was actually searching Yelp for a hair salon that will be able to handle my crazy Puerto Rican curls when I came across this listing and thought, "Ooh. I certainly could go for a Brazilian." It's been a while since I've pampered my special lady friend and I've been looking to find someone local since I've moved to South Bay. The reviews are all stellar and now I know first hand why. Erika is EXACTLY what I was looking for: Clean, Inexpensive, Friendly, Accommodating and Close (I literally live 9 blocks away). I scheduled an appointment for the next morning. 8 am. Her hours? HUGE bonus. I'm always on the go and it's really hard to find a place that has early AND late hours, so thank you, Erika! She gives you her direct cell line for you to call/text whenever you want to schedule something. Gotta love the easy access. The studio is super cute. I love her set-up. She has definitely tried to give this little space a spa feel with its pretty wall color and even some product displays. She uses natural honey wax which I never even experienced before, but I liked it very much. She knows her stuff. Years in the business with tons of repeat customers. You will not be disappointed. She was friendly, made me feel insanely comfortable, super conversational and incredibly concerned with making sure I was hairless. Which I now am. My special lady friend and I are grateful. Ooh!
