Best waxer in the US. I'm serious. Erika is amazing! Here's why. I have been coming to Erika for years, prior to booking her, I had tried two other locations. During a job deployment, I went to a different waxer in a different state. Yeah, I am sticking to the best. From missing hair to using cheap hard wax, other waxers/studios just miss the mark. You want to be hairless, Brazilian Studio is here for all your hairless desires. 3. Free parking in the back of the studio. Metered street parking available as well. 4. Erika is always on time. In the five plus years I have been coming to her, I have waited 3 to 5 minutes twice as she finished up with a client. Golden stamp for punctuality. 5. She gets you smooth like a baby's bottom. 6. She communicates effectively. If you can't get an appointment on-line she is receptive and responsive to texts/calls. No cons. Except, she stays booked and busy but that is a testament to her work ethic and product, your hairless body areas. I am a loyal, repeat customer. I just don't want her to retire. I saw Erika 10 minutes ago for my first Brazilian wax ever. I couldn't leave the parking lot without writing a review of how AMAZING Erika is at her job. I walked in sweaty and terrified after watching videos of waxes and imagining the worst pain ever. I've hurt myself worse by shaving than what I experienced today. Do not go here! Yesterday was my first and last time here. I came for a Brazilian wax and got all my skin ripped off. On top of that, I had a small ingrown that was beneath the skin, the waxer pulled out a needle that looked like a tac and started poking me without permission. I started bleeding from that. I told her I scared of infection and she kept bullying me to relax and let her do her work. She also waxed in small sections and then tweezed after each section which is just torture. It was the most traumatic experience ever. At the end, she just put the tweezers in a random box and sprayed them with disinfectant, she didn't soak them..even after my blood was on them. I really hate to write a bad review but I'm traumatized, so please save your time and money and go somewhere else. Also, just to put into perspective how bad it is, my original waxer (who i cheated on to come here) recommended that i go to urgent care for a burn cream prescription. read more

No one likes a Brazilian, unless you're a masochist. This one was the most painless one I've ever experienced. Erika was fast, funny (not that you need to be hearing jokes while Winnie the Poohing it in a salon), and uses her own, all-natural honey that she makes on-site. My first time going to Erika and it was a good experience. Its been a little over a week and I haven't had any signs of my usual, terrible, painful ingrown hairs. The studio was clean and she was extremely thorough with the process. Her price is reasonable at $40. Which you can't beat for quality service! I was previously going to EWC, so I was nervous about switching from hard wax back to soft wax with strips. The pain wasn't bad. The honey must help ease the pain. It was probably equal to the pain when using hard wax. I was a little tender for a day or 2, but I'm thinking that's because it had been about 2 months since my last wax. Booked a Brazilian waxing appointment online. Without contacting me it got moved half an hour. Ok that's fine. Then it cancelled on me later that week. She called to say ignore the cancellation and to just come in. Ok. She was very nice. Facility looked clean. She started her work and when I looked up when she was more than halfway done I had noticed she was using only 1 wax stick dipping back and forth into the wax jar. Also noticed she used only 1 waxing cloth strip for my entire Brazilian going over used portions of the strip. It caused painful tackiness and breaking all the hairs instead of pulling it by the root. This surprised me because usually estheticians use a fresh stick for every dip for cleanliness and multiple wax strips to ensure a good grip on the hairs when waxing. I told her I was concerned of cleanliness when we spoke on the phone before my appt. "Don't worry honey I'm very clean". Ok so I kept my appt. Afterwards I rushed home to take a shower and tend to myself. I still ended up with inflammation, lots of stubble and ingrown hairs in less than a week. :( read more

I'm just getting home now after leaving Erica's Studio I had a great experience!! she is a very nice woman, I feel some of the negative reviews here are taken by people who have a closed mind on what respect is. If you want to be pampered it's a price to pay to deserve luxury. but let's be realistic we need affordable prices today living in LA or the South Bay Area. I can recognize she is a woman of business so I'd think if she has a studio in the back of her house, she uses to make her living, of course she needs to be available for all of her responsibilities but I really appreciate her help. she's very knowledgeable on life love happiness and an extreme expert on waxing the armpit that was the first time I've ever had my armpit waxed she walked me through it, and calmed my nerves down just by talking to me and asking me about myself . I think she's a very lovely woman and she deserves all of her credit. The waxing itself took 10 to 15 minutes. it's great who wants to go to a place and sit forever waiting with slow service in a hot room. All good things must come to a end. Now, Erica does great, great work but my last encounter with her was incomplete. I always get underarms and Brazilian wax , but this time she didn't do underarms due to she had a importamt call come through and she was shushing me. ( I understood that but you run a business ) I am a customer of almost 2 years and I get the same services. As she was on an important call I left the money on her chester dresser according to price listed and left My service according to the price chart was $30.00 due to she didn't do the other service that I normally get. Later that day she text me and said, I owed her $5.00 for the , I said ok I will bring it by. She asked, me did I still want to get underarms done? I said yes. She said, she will call me in a couple of days to let me know if a customer cancel because her schedule is booked. I am a paying customer too and my service wasn't complete. I said, ok. But when she didn't call me after a week. I went by and put the 5.00 in an envelope and put it on her door (I could hear she was with a client) and text her to tell her I put the money I owe you on your door. She texted me back and said thank you. She never asked me if I still wanted the service that she didn't complete, or say I apologize for not getting back with you or nothing. Mind you I am writing this 6 weeks late and still no call. Maybe that was a hint. read more
