I worked at the nail salon for 3 months, the owner is full of lies. She said she would hire me so I worked February-May she said she cannot pay me until the summer and she will do my nails and lashes as a compensation. Then 3 weeks ago I called her bc it's summer and she said no I cannot hire you bc it's so. It's slow because your the boss your always late never smile and gave horrible customer service. You underpay your workers that's why they leave left and. And now you tell me I scared your customers away. If I scared them away how did I work 3 months and the first day I worked 11.5 hours then the 2nd day 10 . You are full of lies the truth will set you free. I want you to pay me back 8 k and you stole my Qscience products worth of 1k. You steal from vulnerable people . You lie and lie and your have cheap products . The owner even did my nails and it fell off in 3 days come on now. Even one Customer said you buy cheap products from CVS unreal Karma will come back to you! Nails and Co is a great place.. it has this Asian spa feel with live bamboo and green painted walls. The staff is plentiful and professional. I've been here a couple of times (for pedicures only) and they have a good set up and do a decent job. Great service and so accommodating. I came here with some of my bridal party - including my not-yet-3-year-old flower girl - and we were all impressed! They offered us drinks when we first came in, sat us in pedicure chairs next to each other (with holes in the walls between the chairs so we could chat) and even let my flower girl sit on her mom's chair, while they both got their nails done! I'm pretty upset about it because I did like my pedicure but felt like I didn't get enough. For 70 dollars for my nails to peel is ridiculous. Gel manicure is supposed to last two weeks at least. I came because I had a gift certificate for a gel manicure and decided to get a regular pedicure also. Another review said it very well, this place is probably the nicest in the area as far as atmosphere but you can get an equivalent or better service elsewhere for less. The pedicure was very rushed and cost $35 - the same price as the gel manicure! The pedicure only took about 15 minutes and for the cost I would expect longer, I could have gone to a proper spa! My gel manicure was very well done and I am really pleased with it. Overall the cost is way too high for the area and service. Great service but $25 for an acrylic fill and 35 for a standard pedicure is over the top. My Nail Tech also attempted to add on another 5 to my fill for something she put on my nails and never told me until the end. I love this place! All the girls are so nice! And when you get a pedi, there are divides with windows in between the between the chairs so that you can still chat with your girlfriend in the chair over, or feel the tranquility of privacy too - like you are in your own little oasis! The nail polish selection is wonderful and it's clean and the decor very modern! It feels Zen without even trying! Not only do they give great service, they didn't neglect on a relaxing ambiance! The best part is now I live up the street from here! Easy parking too! It's the best place in Norwood for sure, if not the neighboring towns as well! Since then I have tried to go twice (only because no other places in Norwood). 2nd time I went back, they were closed early. 3rd time I went, i literally ran out to try and get a mani/pedi while my boyfriend and 3 month old took a nap... I love this place. I've been coming here for about 3 years and I've never have any problems. Until now. Do not go to Amy. I had my pedicure from Amy and while she was using the 'brand new' (dear lord I hope it was new and not re-used) cuticle pusher backer thingy...and she sliced my toe open so deep I help back tears. But it gets worse. My toe was bleeding so bad and she would NOT leave it be. I told her, just STOP touching it, the more she touched and prodded the more it bled!! I told her to put some alcohol on it and leave it be. She didn't. After all this drama, My pedi looks good, but my toe is black. Awesome. Can't wait to go to Miami on Wednesday with a black toe. This place is really great. I would take off half a star if only I could- because of the mani price. I do not mind paying more for great service, which is why I love the pedi- at $35... but for a standard mani, $18 is a bit steep. Nevertheless, as another reviewer said, the pedi chairs are in cubbies and very private and cozy and comfy PLUS they do a foot massage that lasts forever AND, they shut off the lights. I loooooove that. There are few things more weird than the fluorescent lights of places while you are trying to enjoy your foot massage and nail lady looks at you and you look at her and then an awkward smile, and then you look elsewhere, and again the same thing. So this is awesome- no lights. Also love that their chairs at the drying stations are not wheely office chairs like so many other places. They are cushy soft pretty chairs. I just love how posh it all feels, in the center of Norwood of all places. And it's JUST a nail place! Great little find. read more

I have to agree comletely with the previous poster about the terribly rude and arrogant attitude of the techs at Nails and Co in Norwood. They seem fixated on gel manicures and almost refuse to do anything else. There must be a lot more money in it for them. The owner of this salon needs to talk to her techs about a major attitude adjustment if they want to stay in business. The salon is clean and they claim to sterilize their instruments, although they appear to use the same dromel (drill) attachment over and over. read more

Really a great gel manicure. I've lived in NYC and Vegas and this is probably one of the best I've had. I didn't like the fact they make you get manicure, you can't just do gel polish change. He said "because gel will peel off if cuticle not cleaned." That's incorrect, I had a routine of every other two weeks getting manicure and never had any issues. But whatever, for $35 and it was perfect, really can't beat the price. My girl was on her phone most of the time which I find rude, but she did her nail job well.... So who cares! I went to Nails and Co for the first time today. Easy to park as they're located in a strip mall. First impression was that it's very pretty inside and the receptionist was friendly. She offered me a water but I declined, so I don't know if it's a bottle or something fancier like some other salons have, like cucumber or lemon. She herself then seated me to expedite removing my old gel manicure while we waited for my technician to finish up with another customer. A few minutes later Hollie introduced herself and took over. What I especially liked about this salon was how quiet it was. They had soothing spa music playing in the background instead of tv's. When the technicians spoke to each other they barely got above a whisper. For customers like me, who like manicures to be a peaceful spa-like experience, it was fabulous. My mother and I went for pedicures today and I will never go back and hope to tell everyone I know about the horrid customer service. My mother has MS and trouble walking and they insisted that she walk to the opposite end if salon passing a dozen open pedicure chairs. The woman then asked me to switch chairs with my mother so she didn't have to treat my mother. The woman continued to yell at my mother because her leg was having a spasm - clearly out of her control. She had my mother so uncomfortable and almost in tears. Went to this place because it had great yelp reviews and my favorite manicurist wasn't working at my regular place. When we walked in I was very impressed. This place was spotless and we were greeted by a very friendly man who offered us cold bottled water. Me and my daughter were here for pedicures which I get every 2-3 weeks without fail. I had a broken toe nail that I needed fixed as well, yes they do that! We picked out our colors and sat down on one of those meticulously clean spa pedicure seats, right away I knew this was going to be an amazing experience; did I mention how clean this place was!! The pedicure was just ok no extra special treatment no extra attention to problem spots it was just ok, which was surprising since I've been to places that you'd think twice about sticking your feet in the tub and they've been better! For $90 bucks for 2 pedicures including tip you would just think the actual pedicure would be better but the joint is clean and they offer you cold water and the massage chair works better than most places. So it is with a heavy heart that I give This place 3 stars. I had high hopes for this place. read more

I went here last week for the first time. It was beautiful and in a nice location. I went in and was immediately offered a drink. I asked for an acrylic fill with gel polish. The women doing my nails didn't speak at all, which was fine. When it came to fill my nail, instead of using the brush to apply the acrylic powder, she put my entire nail in the powder! I couldn't believe it. It took about an hour and a half to do my fill, which is usually fairly quick. She did not use gel polish, and after I reminded her I wanted gel, she told me I didn't need it because I had healthy nails. On top of everything, they tried to charge me for the gel polish! It was more expensive than any place I have ever been to. I payed more for a fill than most places would charge for a full set. My nails chipped by the time I got home, and one nail came off the next day. I was very unpleased and would never go back. read more

I went to this salon for the first time on Friday. I paid $35 for a gel manicure, a very high fee compared to anywhere else I have ever been. By Sunday the nail polish on three of my nails had started peeling. I called to tell them about it and they offered to fix the three nails. I told them I wanted all of the nails redone because if three had already started peeling, the others would start as well. When I showed up to have my nails redone, they again offered to only fix the three nails. I repeated that I expected all of my nails to be redone. They spoke about me for about three minutes in their language and I can only imagine what they were saying! One of the manicurists pointed to a chair and told me to sit down. She never looked at me or said one word to me until she was done. She was very angry with me! And when she was done, she said "done", pushed back her chair and walked away from me. Very rude! And now not even a full day later, two of my nails have already started peeling. I will never come back to this salon nor would I recommend it to anyone. They are so rude and do such lousy work that I would not even attempt to have a crummy job redone yet again. Total waste of money and my time. read more

The first time she visited, they provided services free of cost (mind you we did not ask for any sort of discount). Now that she has been there quite a few times, she now is being charged $5 for what is give or take is an $18 service. We were then brought to the chairs in the back of the room (they are separated with a little window if you want to talk to the person next to you). Went to get gel nails. The woman who did my nails said she messed up - something to do with the design I got so the polish was dimpled on most of my nails. I looked at my nails and agreed... She told me to come back and she would fix for free. I talked to the owner and he said fine just call and all set. I have a busy schedule so unfortunately I couldn't get back to the salon until a week or so later. So I call, explained the situation. Didn't even expect to get them fixed for free since I couldn't get there before - just asked for a discount on this appointment. The woman I talked to argued with me and said I waited too long and it isn't right. She said everyone says they want to fix then they wait too long... Huh? I asked for a discount. If she would have given me $5 I would have been okay. I tip more than $5... I told her I am not arguing with her and I just won't come back. There are too many salons out there to deal with that. As my friend would say - Nobody has time for that.... I had a good experience before this. They do a decent job but this was my first time having an issue. I need to feel good vibes going into a place and that needs to be consistent, not just when I am spending money and smiling.. If there is an issue (especially when its on the salon) it needs to be handled professionally. read more

Very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. They greet you with a complimentary beverage which is a plus. A lot of pedicure and manicure stations along with plenty of drying areas. I only wish they included more with their pedicures and manicures like a mask, peel and more exfoliation esp for foot callus. Will definitely be back though! read more

I have been a loyal customer at Nails and Co. in Norwood since 2007 and a loyal customer to Lena for those 5 years. (On average, I would go in twice a month for a manicure or pedicure). Today they have lost my business and any further recommendations. I was scheduled for a regular manicure at 2:45 and got caught in traffic. I called to to let them know I was running 5 minutes behind. When I walked in the front desk associate (Thai) said "I don't think Lena is going to have time to do your nails today." I laughed at first because I thought he was joking but then realized he was serious. He explained that Lena's next appointment was "too close." Lena then came up and confirmed that she did not have time, but asked if I wanted a polish change instead of a manicure. I said no, I made an appointment for a manicure. Thai spoke to me rudely and said that my appointment was at 2:45 and it was now 2:53. (We wasted 3 minutes with the back and forth exchange and I had walked in at 2:50). I explained that I had called to tell them I was running 5 minutes behind and the person I spoke to did not tell me not come in because Lena would not have time. I was very upset that they would not accommodate me and told the front desk associate that I found it funny there was a double standard. The week before I had gone in for my manicure and Lena had not even put the polish on her previous customers nails when I walked in on time for my appointment. I explained they I didn't mind she was running behind and that I would run a quick errand while she finished up, completely accommodating them. When I brought this point up to the front desk associate today he said, "I told you to come back in 10 minutes last week and you didn't come back for 15 minutes." Clearly, he was not seeing my point and he does not know how to treat his customers. The manager of the salon came up to the front desk and pretended to try and get involved but she let Thai do all of the talking. I was so upset with their treatment that I explained they had just lost a loyal customer. I had $17 remaining on a gift certificate and said that I would like to be reimbursed for it since I would not be returning. They said this would not be possible because it was their policy. I left the gift certificate on the front desk and before I left Thai had the nerve to yell out, "give it to someone else." Why, so I can give them more referral business??" I know this must seem wasteful but I was trying to prove my point. I am also visibly pregnant (39.5 weeks) and you would think that they would want to help out a pregnant lady who is due in 3 days by giving her a manicure! I have always loved Lena and think she does a wonderful job (I have also tipped her generously over the past 5 years for her great service) but this place obviously could care less about their loyal customers and I won't be returning. read more
