please, if you don't want any infection or want horrible service do not go to this place. I have tried this place for the first time and had to go back the next day because my nails were awful and for the amount of money that I paid for it. It should've been the way that I wanted it. I gave it a second chance and went back yesterday. Upon getting my nails done, my nails got infected because the nail technician cut my skin open!! and on top of that tiny little bubbles went back and the woman got really loud and nasty with me telling me that I keep coming in there for a redo. If they done it right in the first place I wouldn't have had to go back for redo!! it amazes me that you get your nails done with the way you want to unreasonable!! if there was an option for zero stars that would better!!!! read more

I really like this place, the staff is very nice. I got my nails done by a nice person named Mai. She was very gentle with my nails, and very professional. The place is small but I think it adds to the charm, there's a parking lot which is nice and it's not usually crowded. The prices are fair in my opinion. I used to love this place and have been going here for years for mani-pedi. The ease of getting an appointments was always a plus. However over the years, my appointments feel rushed. Quality and service is on a downward trajectory. My last dip manicure barely lasted 2 weeks. The removal process was harsh, the equipment was hot as if drilling the surface of the nail practically ruining it. I was told it would cost an additional $5 to remove cuticles since the hot equipment was supposedly removing cuticles. The end process didn't give my nails a clean look. The concept of a massage has practically dissipated from the appointments over the years. I tried a new nail salon today and removing the dip powder nail polish wasn't as harsh nor did the equipment feel hot on the nails. The process was much gentler and manicure very detailed. And no they didn't rely on the equipment to get rid of the cuticles. I had a far better experience today than I have had in the last few months with Mya. read more

Well... I come to Mya nails often, I thought it was sanitary although it is not. I got my nails done Tuesday and it is now Friday, there is an infection that has reached my bone from the bacteria within her dip powder. Funny bunny, what a popular color I'm sure everyone is using. Mya herself did my nails and she has denied it coming from her salon. Coincidental that this infection occurred the day after coming here right next to my left nail cuticle. This place is extremely unsanitary and I now have to get this infection surgically removed from my bone. Do not come here. read more

Now the lady doing my nails didn't do a bad job. She did pretty good. When I first saw this salon on yelp my initial thought was "what's up with the reviews". On google reviews there are is a 5/5 stars. But me being loyal to yelp made me skeptical because people on Yelp don't usually lie and offer pretty good feedback. The only reason I came to this nail salon was because I was desperate and I couldn't go to my regular in Stoughton. This nail salon was pretty close by so I was like let's give it a shot. When I first walked in was around 620 and the salon was going to close soon but I was greeted immediately and told to pick a color and sit down. The lady was very friendly and gentle with my nails. I really liked that. In the beginning of the manicure I was thinking the salon deserves a five star review. However some red flags were raised. 1. When the lady was filing my nails I did not think much of it until I looked at the fire and saw that it had already been used several times. If you have ever filed your nails before with a black nail filer you will know that when you file your nails the black begins to turn white. So when I saw it I was like um I'm not comfortable with this. It raised some sanitary questions because at most salons I've been at they use new nail filers for each client. I kinda brushed it off tho. 2. The lady was kind of sick, obviously something that she probably could not control however I wish that she wore a mask or covered her sneeze. Because once she sneezed she did not cover it at all and she continued working on my nails. I think you can tell how grossed out I was. 3. Although she was gentle with my nails and took her time applying the nail polish it does not look like a clean job that much. I still have some nail polish on my skin and it kind of looks like I did it at home but like really neatly. I really wanted to give the salon a chance. The lady was so friendly but somethings just threw me off. And when she was done with my nails she kinda dismissed me like kind of in a "I don't want to see you anymore I just want to get paid fashion." She was like oh is $25 and then she immediately went on her phone. ‍‍ The nail salon wasn't that bad and honestly this would've been a four star review if it was a little bit more sanitary. I don't really like germs in the mugs I'm a phobic but I'm pretty sure most people are aware of how to take care of them selves and try avoiding spreading germs. I just don't like the idea of spreading germs and sharing items that have already been used. read more

I have been to Mya nails a bunch before. I would say they have gone down hill since they opened. If you are seen by the owner, forget it. She is multitasking the entire time. Answering calls, making appointments, talking to every person who walks in, helps anyone who needs help checking out/paying WHILE you are getting your nails done. My latest appointment, she cut the cuticles on my right hand twice and didn't on the left. Then when leaving, she puts lotion and cuticle oil on my left hand w. hot towel, gets call and nothing for the right hand. My nails have lots of rough edges, gel stuck to my skin in so many places and there is a bubble of gel on one nail. I am home trying to fix my nails and now there are chips and the gel is peeling. $36 down the drain. read more

She used to work at True Nails in Sharon and has now had her own salon for a while...definitely knows what she's doing. Pedicures and gel manicures are great and not expensive either. It is a very nice soft look with 2 colors and they fade into each other so when I need a fill it will not look how it usually looks. I can't speak to the nail services at this place but the waxing leaves much to be desired. The back room is small and dingy, and the lighting poor. There was also nowhere to leave my clothes, and the room was chilly. I came for a full leg and bikini. The gal was sweet as pie (truly, very pleasant), but clearly not trained in waxing. She started with my right shin, then jumped to my right inner thigh, then did a little bit of my right bikini line, and then jumped to my right knee - but just one side of it. I pointed out to her that holding the skin taut would make it hurt less for me and I'd be less likely to bruise. The way she pushed my knees apart and handled my sensitive areas without using verbal communication or even just telling me what she was about to do was also far from trauma-informed. The whole appointment was a hodge podge and took a very long time. Unsurprisingly, when it was finished I inspected the work and found several big patches of skin that were entirely still covered with hair, and had to point them out to her, one by one (like, my left anterior thigh, and my entire left knee). Then when I checked out she over-charged me. When I pointed this out she said something like, yeah, full leg is $45, but we did so much of your thigh... Um. I wear a size 4 jeans and I'm not particularly hairy. And the basic bikini is listed as $28 "and up" and the $35 charge seemed arbitrary. I was honestly so disappointed with the service I almost wanted to complain and not pay at all, and had there been somebody at the front to ask "how was everything?" I would have answered honestly. But that wasn't the case. I just got home and looked at my bikini area in the mirror and it's the most lopsided job ever. There's also like a huge bald spot on one side and I don't know what the heck that's about. I won't be back for waxing services. read more

I am writing this review in hopes Mya would get back to the way things use to be. Fast, Efficient, and Quality. I would rate it 1 star based on my last couple of experiences, but instead I went with an average for the time I have been a customer. I had an apt today, had to wait 20 minutes past appt time- yes it was acknowledged and Mya apologized, but this happens 50% of the time I go. Massage with Pedicure last time was non- existent but was a bit better today, however the girl working on my feet did stab me with what looked like an ice pic- but is the thing to clean under your nails. She apologized, but again this is because she was rushing as they were behind with appts. My Manicure wasn't good at all- zero, I mean zero hand massage, the tips of my nails are jagged, so it's probably a matter of hours before it chips off. I did the best to neatly file them when I got home. Manicurist never tell you their name, but even if you learn one- she/he might not be there again. There seems to be a bit of turn, probably leading to lack of quality control. I used to be a huge fan of this place and have recommended to almost everyone looking for a nail salon, but I won't be doing that going forward. Even though the prices are very good, the inconsistency in the services provided over the last year aren't enough to keep me, I would rather pay more and get a good consistent experience every time. read more

I have been coming to Mya nails for about 6 years consistently. A year ago i tried a dip manicure with Kathy and i loved it. She did an amazing job. I have continued to see her every 2-4 weeks since then! She is always thorough with each nail to make sure the shape and color is on point. Every girl I've interacted with has been pleasant. This place is clean. However, the service is lacking. My "spa pedicure" was somewhat lame as the water was lukewarm at best, the massage chair was comfortable but not very effective; my feet look freshly polished but not as though they have been pedicured. My manicure was also subpar. The gel polish isn't cleanly painted onto my nails; the polish is all over the bottom of the nail bed. My nails were cut too short, and my friend said the manicurist "butchered" her cuticles. read more

I gave this place a few chances, but I will no longer be going back. Whenever you call ahead, they always say they can take you even if they are busy and can't. On Friday I called and asked if my friend and I can come at 6:15, I was told sure. We weren't taken back until 6:40. A tech came by and was very rude to me saying that I didn't tell anyone I had dip nails and that they would take too long to remove, even though I did mention it on the phone call. Since it was now close to close, my gel manicure was rushed through and messy, and as a result it has started to peel 2 days later. there are also little cotton fibers painted into the gel. On top of this, I was charged $30 instead of the usual $25 for gel, and told it was because I needed the dip removed. I have never heard of this anywhere else! Very unhappy and embarrassed I brought a friend along, her nails didn't come out well either and we were there until 7:30! read more

Was referred to Myas nails by a friend who received "the best dip manicure" of her life. However, my experience was the exact opposite. I went to myas for a dip manicure. The result: a makeshift dip manicure leaving fingers bleeding and crooked nails. The color I received was also extremely different than the one that appeared on the swatch leading me to have an ugly silver color as well. read more

I liked this place, mostly because of convenience and less than 50% of the time they would chop a huge chunk of flesh out of my cuticles. In fact this was the place that I always went and consistently kept up with my costly gel manicures. Today I dropped a 90% empty bottle of nail polish, which has paid for itself 30 times over, and which I have paid for 30 times over. Despite being a regular and having had Mya personally do my before, she still disappeared into the back room and made her timid employee inform me I owe her an extra $12 for the bottle as she kept insisting "its not my fault, I'm sorry, it's not my fault, I'm sorry". They do not honor appointments. You make an appointment with a particular person but when you get there they give you whoever is available. It's kind of like a factory. Both gel manicures I got were just ok; the nails do not stay shiny more than a day or so. Maybe the top coat they use is cheap? I'm not going back. read more
