Pedicure I was supposed to get a mani with get polish but I was late arriving and I had to get to a doctors appointment. They were so nice they understand why I had to leave and told me to come back if I got out before they closed. I plan on going back this week. I called 1 hour before closing to see if they could squeeze me in and they were so accommodating. David did my nails and I had a design that was fairly complicated. David was very honest he doesn't typically do designs, but he said "if you give me a change I'll give you one" and boy am I glad he did. They man put his best effort in and stayed a half hour past closing to make sure I was happy!!! I highly recommend this nail salon to anyone!!! read more

Loved my experience there! I stopped by on a busy day and was able to get in quickly and the woman who did my pedicure was so sweet. She also did such a good job. I love when people take their time and I get the most for the money... which by the way was only $30 for a normal pedicure. But it was very nice and I got a nice foot rub for a good amount of time. I was SO looking forward to this, as the other reviewer raved about this place, AND it's very close to home. I would give them a higher rating except they hurried me out the door before my nails were dry - now, less than 1 day later, I'm going to have to get them redone! The pedicure was great, a little rushed, but still felt wonderful. I guess my mistake was asking them if they fixed UV gel nails (only asking for another day though - it was 30 minutes before closing and I wanted to come back the next day to have them fixed, when there was more time). Guess they felt they could get a little more money out of me (the pedi wasn't cheap), so of course they had time. My nails looked OK after she finished, but then she only had me sit through one drying cycle, and then added some gel to another fingernail that she had added some french polish to - and now that one looks like crap and is all bumpy and streaky because she rushed. When I got home, I noticed that one of the fixed nails now has the imprint of writing/print on it because I must have bumped up against the newspaper and because the nail wasn't dry - voila! I now have newspaper ink on my nail, which won't come off. If they had said they couldn't do it because it was late, I still would have come back the next day (today) - I liked the shop (they offer you bottled water when you come in, its very professional looking and relaxing in there, clean, etc.) - but I'm not sure I'll go back if that's the way they do business. read more

Went there to get my eye brows and lip waxed. Wax was way too hot and now I have a burnt upper lip. Currently have a scab on it and everytime I open my mouth to eat it breaks the scab open. If you go there make sure they cool the wax before it touches your skin. read more

I went there last week and got the worst gel manicure and pedicure I have ever gotten. It was my first and last time going there, not only are they over priced but the service was terrible. The woman filed my nails so short they hurt and the gel was rippled and lumpy. Also she butchered my cuticles by cutting some fingers and not clipping the cuticles on other fingers. The pedicure was okay but I'm also 8 months pregnant so anything involving my feet feels good. When I took a good look though she didn't paint the entire nail along the cuticle and sides. The tech was wearing a dress and when she was doing my pedicure I could see everything...and I mean everything. She was dressed very unprofessional and I was very uncomfortable throughout my pedicure. $60 for a gel manicure and a pedicure that looked like garbage with a terrible experience. I think I had my nails done by almost every nail tech here. David and Crystal are the owners and take the time to learn the names of every client after a visit or 2. The salon is immaculate, they offer water or soda and there isn't a TV blaring in the background. If you make an appointment they will take you on time and walkins are more than welcome. read more

Popped in here on a Sunday morning bright and early and was greeted with a warm hello and genuine smiles. This place is so clean, the girls are efficient and super friendly. I was going to have my nails painted black to match the mood I was in but after much hesitation from the sweet woman taking care of me we decided on a sparkly purple gel and I must say I am rockin this color! Definitely a mood lifter. She did a beautiful job. Will be back here again. read more

I was looking for a nail salon that did the acrylic nails & did them well. My girlfriend recommended J nails. David did an excellent job! It was a great experience! I called ahead to make sure they could squeeze me in considering it was the Tuesday before thanksgiving & almost 6pm when I could get a babysitter..I figured it would be hard to get in. They took care of me right away & it was busy as well! They greeted me right away when I arrived & offered me water or soda. They called me by my name & were very personable. They made sure I was happy with the service. I highly recommend this salon it was very clean & great atmosphere. All the techs focused on their clients.. In other places the techs seem to be more interested in talking to each other rather than the customer in front of them. I will definitely be back! read more

I have been searching for a nail place that is clean, friendly, professional, and pay attention to detail. I was turned on to J Nails & Spa by my neighbor, who has beautifully manicured nails. I went this afternoon and was immediately impressed by the class decor and friendly employees. They had an organized system and wait time was minimal. I had a mani/pedi, and David was really great and made sure that my nails were PERFECT. Great experience. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because they don't give a mini hand massage before polishing. but my nails look fabulous so I'll let it go. Prices are reasonable and you can walk in and they will always take you in a timely fashion. Pleased. read more

Love J Nails. David and Crystal, the owners, are so personable and always remember their customers names. I always have Tammy for my mani and pedi when she is available, so sweet and she does an amazing job. i have had regular mani and the gel mani and have never had a complaint. I am always happy when i leave there. Plus it is super clean which totally matters in a shop like this. J Nails and Spa is the most relaxing, clean and cheerful nail place on the South Shore by far!! read more

I've gone here twice and both times I've left extremely happy. Crystal did my acrylics and did an amazing job. Crystal and her husband David are very accommodating and get to know their clients. Got a full set they told me it was 30 charged me 35 whatever.... The full set lasted 2 days before it started lifting up went back they fix it and charged me for a fill worst business practices..... I will not be going back. Buyer beware..... read more

If I could rate with a negative number, I would! Horrible experience on March 11, 2015. Directed to a chair without picking a color. The staff member was furious when she found out I did not have a color and the appt went downhill from there. I was not offered a magazine, my handbag was out of reach, there was no TV. I said a couple of pleasantries to her with no response. She was very rough slamming my feet in and out of the tub. Then the pedicurist YELLED at me to "sit back and relax, you are making me tense!" YELLED at me. I yelled right back. No supervisor came over to intervene. She was allowed to be a miserable human being. My mistake was not walking out right then. When I paid, I know I should not have, I asked to speak to a supervisor but there was no one there, allegedly. I did not get the manicure that I planned and went directly to the Nail Spa in South Weymouth which was a lovely experience. I have tried to call to reach a manager or owner but they are not available. NEVER AGAIN. That staff member should have been reprimanded at the very least. It was a terrible, upsetting experince. Stay away!!!! So many great places available and J Nail and Spa is horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
