I went here today because it's the closest salon to me listed in the CND website for Shellac manicures, and I was not disappointed. Joelle was the nail technician who did my Shellac manicure and an OPI pedicure, and she was great. She has a very pleasant manner and gentle touch. She was super-careful when she painted, and I'm very pleased with the results on both my hands & feet. The products she used were also great. I loved the lemon-sage hand lotion, and the sugar-based foot scrub she used. The only reason I gave this review 4 stars instead of 5 is the price. It's reasonable at $65 for my combo, especially considering the care she puts into her work, but higher than what I usually pay. It was also inconvenient that I couldn't put her tip on my credit card, so I was relieved that I happened to be carrying cash for her tip, because I'll definitely go back for special occasion nail treatments. She also does the waxing for the salon, and I'll probably go back to her for that too. Overall, I was very happy with my experience here, and would recommend it as a good service, and reasonably good value. read more

They are awesome here!!! My company moved our office to a new location in Canton and I was desperately seeking a better hair cut place. I've tried several barbers near my home but they were just not getting it done. Finally I decided I know I'm a guy and going to a salon is not really the easiest.... But desperate times you have to take a leap! And I'm glad I did... The ladies here are awesome and they really know how to cut hair. I found Vanity Salon through my nail artist from a previous nail salon, and I couldn't be more happier anywhere else. They are fabulous! Everyone is super friendly and very good with hair cuts, coloring and styling. All their products are high quality as well. Before finding Vanity Salon, I went to a Korean salon in Allston. They did a good job, but my hair always got super damaged. I had been wanting go dye my hair red for the longest time, and it was difficult to get it done because of my dark hair color (I'm Korean LOL). The hair stylist at the Korean place would never color my hair beacause of damage worries. However, Vanity bleached my hair orange and colored my hair without any problem! AND my hair has never been damaged from the past two times I colored my hair. This is my third time color my hair red again, and I am very pleased again. They can be busy, so definitely call ahead of time. Also ask for Taylor (who has been doing my hair) or Angela, the owner. The other stylists here are wonderful as well, so I really wouldn't worry about who to get your hair done from. As for manicure and pedicures, I am so pleased with them as well. I've been going to the same nail artist (Kim) for the past five years, and came to Vanity because she moved here. Kim is very precise and careful with her painting and always makes sure her customers are satisfied. I have never been displeased by her work. I don't trust anyone one else do do my pedicure or nails and waxing as well. Also, the mani/pedi spot at Vanity is super cozy. They made a space blocked off just for mani and pedis, making the space more private and relaxing. The chairs will make you fall asleep lol. And the great thing is that you don't need do move seats after getting a pedi. You just stay in the same comfy pedicure chair, to get a mani. If you want an excellent and painless wax job, Kim is the one to go to as well. She is fast and very precise. She also knows what fits with each of her clients as well. She is the one and only person I also trust to wax me. Never makes a mistake and is always painless as well. I've been to many other places and they were all horrible at waxing. So overall, I am super pleased with Vanity and LOVE coming here! Everyone who works here are super friendly, and always make sure clients are pleased. *** Update: I have been going to Vanity for almost a year now, and I am soo pleased!! Best choice ever to switch to Vanity. Like written above, I have been wanting red hair for ever, and my dream finally came true! Their hair coloring products are amazing and never leave your hair damaged. This is coming from after having red hair for a year! Not once has my hair been damaged :) Also, love how they treat my hair with Olaplex (which smells amazing and leaves hair even shinier) so ask them to treat you with Olaxplex. I recommend Taylor (my hair stylist), Ashley (my mom's stylist) and Angela (the owner) but seriously, everyone is awesome here!! read more

Angela and the rest of the staff are great. As for Lisa, I would never in my life trust to touch my hair again. Asked for balayage, came out looking like a skunk. When asked to get it fixed she gave me a hard time and a whole lot of attitude blaming me saying the picture I showed her to do on me looked exactly like what she did. This review is overdue. I had a fabulous pedicure at a spa one time and have been in search of a local salon that could duplicate it. I tried a few different places and was always disappointed. These ladies are amazing. I have not been to the salon yet, but I will tell you I have been getting my hair done around them for many years. Jennifer Bradford specifically is the only person I will ever let color my hair (unfortunately I have had a couple trims since moving so far from her). I highly recommend Jen. Angela is also wonderful. She came and styled my, my moms, and sisters hair for my mom's wedding, and we all looked like movie stars. Everyone at this salon is amazing, and over the years my mom, and sister have also grown to love these stylists. I can't think of another salon in the area that could live up to this place. They may be good, but Vanity is great (Jen is amazing!). read more

I really like it here and it's been awhile since I've had a great hair cut. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because the salon was very warm. During the blow dry I was very uncomfortable because of the amount of heat but the actual service was great. I do recommend vanity. read more

I've been here with my daughter before for my eyebrow waxing by Joelle with awesome results, so on a whim I went here for the first time today for my extreme hair makeover. I had Lisa and she was great. My hair was reddish toned (due to me trying a box color for the first time...so so wrong) and too long to deal with. I showed her a couple pictures of the cut I was thinking about and a picture of desired color. SHE NAILED IT!!! I recently moved to Canton and was looking for a salon nearby . I saw Vanity on yelp and went through the reviews . I am just someone who does a whole lot of research beforehand. So I finally took an appointment for a haircut . I was looking to cut my hair short . I have never had short hair ! So I was super nervous and then I was trying a new salon too so the nervousness was sky rocketing . But as soon as I met Missy ... Who did my hair my nerves calmed a bit. She was very friendly and welcoming... She kept reassuring me throughout that short hair would look good on me . And she did a fantastic job ! because all I told her was how long I wanted my hair. The rest was all her ! My husband loves my new look and it's all thanks to Missy. Will definitely booking here again and again! read more

I've been to this salon twice now. My first experience was ok... and I decided to go back after reading all these great yelp reviews. Well I REALLY wish I didn't. This salon is completely over priced for the amount of work and care put into styling hair. I can rationalize a $50-55 hair cut if it's done well. But 60 dollars for a trim, plus tip, ends up being $72... for a TRIM! A trim that somehow left my layers looking chopping, uneven, untamed and worst of all HEAVY. Weeks later I'm still fuming about this hair cut and am looking for other salons to reverse the damage. The staff is also not super friendly. It's like going into high school where the catty girls sit around and judge you silently. It is definitely not a warm and inviting environment. I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone. read more

Perfection, Angela and her team are simply amazing! This past weekend I had vanity salon style my hair as well as my bridal party (10 girls plus MOG, MOB) and they totally knocked it out of the park! Everyone looked amazing and were so happy with their hair. I had a trial with Angela a few weeks prior for my day of wedding look, she totally understood what I was looking for and created a style that was perfect. Her rates are great (trust me, I shopped around) and she travels to your venue/site where you are getting ready. Vanity worked side by side with our makeup artist, our day ran so smoothly that we finished early for our photographer! True professionals with great positive attitudes! Highly recommend! read more

While this wasn't the worst haircut I've ever had, it was certainly the worst experience I've ever had at a salon. Lisa washed and cut my hair in 15 minutes and barely spoke to me at all. The result was choppy layers that made my hair look stringy. While the manager offered to have Lisa correct my hair, I had no desire to have Edward Scissorhands near my head again. read more

Everyone who works here is pleasant, and prices are competitive. My first haircut here was good enough. My second resulted in seriously detached layers. The cutting technique was not very advanced. My layers didn't blend, and if I didn't mention that I *might* wear my hair up, my undercut wouldn't have been shaved evenly or neatly. Vanity is a clean salon, with good customer service, but the quality is what you pay for; overall seems that talent is very inexperienced. read more
