I have had my hair done by Amber Gerrish a number of times and cannot say enough how amazing she is at it! I tend to go for the wild, bright colors, and she is my go-to girl for it. Not only does Amber cut, color, and style my hair, she goes above and beyond spending time (sometimes for hours at a time on her time OFF of work) with me sitting and looking at different photos for inspiration and trying to find the best one for me. Once we have a photo of a style or color scheme, Amber will make a plan that is best suited for the health of my hair, depending on when it was last done. If it was too recently, we will book our appointment out later to avoid any possible damage from too many products in a short amount of time. This is incredibly comforting to know that Amber cares beyond just getting a client and cares for the client themselves and the health of their hair. And being a passionate artist in other areas myself, and because I trust her 100%, I always allow her to put her own artistic touch and creative spin on the job. Not once have I been disappointed. After we finish the appointment, Amber is very good at helping me to select which products I want to buy to care for my hair in the weeks that will follow. She doesn't urge you to buy these products either, but will be more than happy to assist in telling you all about them to help you make an informed decision. To top off the amazing experience I have had with Amber doing my hair, the salon itself is a very pleasant atmosphere. Beautiful and spacious with excellent lighting, and music playing. The receptionists other hair dressers are all pleasant and will often compliment Amber on the progress of the work. This shows me that they truly are a TEAM at Visions Salon and support each other in them furthering their careers. I wouldn't trade Amber for another hair stylist in the world. I HIGHLY suggest calling Visions and asking to be booked with her for your next cut, color, style, blow out, trim, or anything. She does it all! Although I don't make it here quite as often as I would like I think of this cozy salon as my home away from home. Tonya greets you with a smile, always looking poised and trendy, and the whole feel flows all the way to the bathroom in the back! I only let Robin touch my nails (love her) but Marcia and Kathy are just two of the fabulous alternatives if Robin isn't available. The girls here have fun with their job... you can tell they all genuinely like one another and would hang out outside of work without feeling obligated to do so. Kerri has a continuous stream of regulars coming in for a cut, color, or all of the above... and all of the stylists have, well, style! Love this place and would absolutely recommend it to anyone. Great selection of OPI and Essie nail colors, clean equipment, up to date techniques, all the "must haves" for hair color, I could go on and on. I've literally been going to Visions since I was a little girl. My grandmother got her hair done every Saturday until she passed away. My mom also has been going since I can remember. Every stylist in this salon is wonderful. Everyone mostly always has a smile on their face and greets you with a warm welcome. When I was younger, Annie used to do my hair and now Pam does my hair. I love them both and they're both wonderful stylists. Pam is also a family friend and does my mom's hair as well. I can't forget about Jen! I absolutely love her. She's so upbeat and friendly and always knows how to put a smile on your face. Generally it's a very good salon and I'm comfortable with giving it five stars! read more

Ok, so it's been a week since I got my hair highlighted and cut by Amber, and everyday I fall more and more in love with my hair style. She did some amazing highlights. She suggested a great shampoo for me to keep the ashy color I preferred. She even suggested a product for my boyfriend who just got an undercut to style his hair which worked perfectly for him too. Amber was super friendly, brought me 2 coffees (cause it was just one of those days), and was very gentle on my sensitive scalp. I will definitely be going back! read more

I have given my business to Visions for several years. While I liked my hair color, I was never quite satisfied with my haircut. After they raised their prices, I looked for a more reasonably priced salon and found Gallery Salons, close by to Visions. Jackie is amazing, very professional and great at what she does. A+ for Jen. I walked in as a first time customer on a whim and walked out with a stellar haircut. The shampoo girl was also a delight to talk to and very gentle. (I have a weirdly sensitive scalp.) The atmosphere is cold and uninviting. After waiting 15 minutes to get my hair cut, they washed my hair and made me wait with wet hair for my hairdresser. It's winter and I was cold and uncomfortable. Then the hairdresser cut my hair in a few minutes and didn't even asked if I liked it or held up a mirror. The website says 35$ for a haircut aNd she charged me 55$. Not worth it. Don't go here if you are looking for a hairdresser that cares about making you look and feel good. They have a lot of clients and want to get you out of their seat ASAP. read more

I booked Visions for my wedding day hair. I had Heather and she rocked my world :) I had a 4 hour trial with her 3 weeks prior to the wedding. I liked the hair style, it was based on one I had a pic of. But after thinking about it, I decided I wanted to have my hair up. I thought She would kill me when I showed up on wedding day :) But she didn't. She was psyched I chose to do an updo. And she rocked it! I gave her my inspiration pic and she rolled with it. I loved the final result! She gave my bridesmaids a lesson on how to remove my veil properly, if I decided to take it out at all (which I didn't do). Heather has an awesome personality. Kerri (one of the two owners) cuts my hair, and I'm very satisfied. She doesn't limit my cut to what is in style at the moment, instead, she cuts it according to what looks good on me. If I need a little trimming between cuts, she is always happy to help out. My color (and texture) is MUCH better than what I had at my previous salon (where I was paying twice as much.) Kerri is great to her customers. This is truly what Customer Service is all about. She's always on time, and on the rare occasion that she is running late, it's usually because she was helping a customer out. I have been getting blonde highlights for over 10 years now and I can honestly say until seeing Jen A. I had never been truly happy with the end results. My first appointment with Jen A. she listened to exactly what I wanted and then gave me her professional advice. I wanted to bring my color to a lighter shade of blonde and had been sick of the dark roots I would still have after leaving the salon and paying a lot of money. Jen A. suggested we do a one process with foils to achieve the color I had been hoping for. She did just that!! Since then I have been going to Jen A. and always leave the salon so happy. My mother, myself, and my daughter went to Visions Salon today and had a great experience. My mother got a cut and color and has never looked better (before this her favorite salon to go to was Lord and Lady's in Boston, but we both agree her hair looks even better now. I am biracial (white and black) and am usually apprehensive about trying a new salon with my very thick curly hair, but hairdresser Jen did an amazing job cutting and styling it to exactly what I wanted. My four year old daughter also got her hair cut and a manicure (her first time) and the staff was wonderful with her. We will definitely be going back next time we need anything done. read more

Jen A (or little Jen) is the absolute best. She has given me the best hair cuts of my life; and I've seen my way around different hair salons in the past! I have really thick hair and she did an amazing job thinning out my hair, I've never been happier. Also, she is really flexible about having me pop in for frequent bang trims, which I really appreciate! Her prices are beyond resonable to boot! Clearly, I am a satisfied customer. Also, Pam did my updo for my wedding as well as my wedding party's styles and she was fabulous too! The salon itself is neat, clean and a very warm friendly environment. I paid $160. to have my hair highlighted and cut.. I have been having my hair highlighted for over 40 years so I know what I like and I wear it just below my ears. . It is exactly 1 month and my roots are 1 straight line from the forehead to the back. It looks terrible . The hairdresser was Jen A. Deceptive pricing and rude receptionist! We went for hair cuts and they advertise pricing as $25+. When we got to the salon, they charged double that for our hair cuts and claimed it was because the $25 price was for men's hair. They should have been clear about that over the phone when we asked. The receptionist was very smug and condescending when we inquired about the difference in the price. Most salons I have gone to with $50 haircuts are much nicer (offer you drinks or complimentary massages). There is no atmosphere here. Luckily my haircut is what I asked for, but I will not be going back. read more

I usually don't do reviews, but felt I had too. This was my first time at this salon, I walk in and not in such a friendly way, said, can I help you, I gave my name, and went to have my hair washed, the girl who did that was very nice, bubbly and what not. I sit down in my chair to have my hair cut and showed the woman two different pics, she honestly didnt seem to give a hoot on what I really wanted, proceeded to cut my hair, no conversation, I was asking all the questions, when she was done I questioned something about my hair, she looked at me as though I was gonna bother her and say I didnt like it, normally when i go to a salon, they take a mirror and show you the back, and ask if you like it, nope, couldn't wait to get me out of the chair. I came home to inspect it myself, It looked like she layered the left side some, but not the right, it looks off, i had to take my own flat iron and put it in place. Not worth $55.00, I've had better for cheaper. I guess its trial and error when looking for a new salon, not a very friendly place......at all!!! read more

I am probably the most difficult and indecisive person, and came in wanting "something completely different that flatters my face". discusted ,ripped off 150.00 .charged for hilight and color eding up with coloring my whole hair one color dark brown. PLEASE dont GO. mistake # 1 is when I looked up a salon in Canton. I have bleeched blonde hair, I asked for the roots to be done and a couple of dark high lights. The Hairdresser convienced to go a bit darker for my roots and do some high lights and some lowlights. I asked is my hair going to be all dark and she said "OH NO I would never do that" By the time she washed my hair ALL OF MY HAIR WAS THE SAME COLOR DARK BROWN WITH A REDISH TINT.I couldn't even get one word out because I felt like I was going to throw up, I was so discusted and could not believe I walked in bleech blonde with different tints of blonde to leaving with one color UGLY brown. they charged me 150.00 to color my roots and the high lights she did were the same color?????. I wanted to ask her if this made sense and if I wanted my hair color to be the same all over I would of asked for it or did it my self. I RUSHED TO ANOTHER SALON TO FIX MY HAIR. read more
