Excellent results and super friendly, professional service without difficulty scheduling a convenient appointment relatively quick; I was offered a same day appointment but wasn't able to make it and was able to get an afternoon appointment for Friday on Wednesday. I advised the salon that I had a Groupon to redeem upon scheduling and was advised that they have an extra charge to blow dry long hair but outside of that, the Groupon would cover everything including the deep conditioning treatment. Nancy was amazing and so sweet. Upon finishing my cut and blow dry, Nancy said I was all set sighting that I had mentioned my hair being long but saying it wasn't that bad, so extra charge for the blow dry that I've been charged extra for the cut when my hair was shorter (extra fee for long hair was the reason) which I shared with Nancy as I thanked her. She also shared prices for services without a Groupon which are more than reasonable at $25 for a wash and trim(no blow dry) but now that she's seen what I like, I'm okay going without the blowout next time plus the conditioning treatment is a $20 charge which is optional but a great value. Definitely found my new go to hairdresser. The salon was quiet but not uncomfortable and likely due to the gloomy, rainy conditions on a Friday at rush hour but it worked out well for me. read more

A fun and friendly salon and Cheri gives the best Brazilian blowout on the planet. I also appreciate that she thoughtfully chooses my aftercare products with concern about what my hair needs over cost. The price is amazing but I would suggest tipping on the regular service price - these ladies work hard to get that perfect hair! read more

With every fiber in my being- I urge you not to go to this salon. I came in with blonde hair, to get my roots done- and came out with dark brown hair. I looked so bad, even my close friends and family couldn't afford to lie to me and tell me I looked alright. My mother almost cried when she saw me. It was truly the nightmare that everyone hopes would never happen to them. I had to spend $200 getting corrective color treatment- to which the damage was so bad, they were not able to entirely fix it. 3 treatments later, I still cannot wear my hair down because the damage inflicted here was so bad, my 22 year old hair is fraying off my head. I went in for a refund- to which Nancy said no. Which is just insanity- I couldn't believe it. Nancy also never wears her mask above her nose and doesn't mandate that her customers do either. This place is unsanitary and not covid safe. read more

I would highly advise anyone to stay clear of this salon. My experience here was every woman's nightmare. [PHOTO IS THE OUTCOME OF ASKING TO GET MY ROOTS DONE AS A BLONDE] I went in to get my roots done, I am a blonde. I came out with chocolate brown hair. When I asked for a refund, they refused and only gave me the money for the "toning mistake". So out of the $100+ I paid, I got $35 back. As if this wasn't enough to merit a bad review, I was shocked to have had the owner lie to me and say the salon was closed-- I pushed and insisted on coming in and showed up to find a packed salon. She was trying to avoid me and avoid issuing my refund. She also told me it was my mistake for not communicating well to my hair dresser. Another point, is I was asked to pay before my treatment was done because they were "shutting off the credit card machine", in retrospect this is a strange request. My appointment was at 1pm on a Sunday- why would they close so early? ALSO- I was shocked to see very lax mask wearing. On both the part of employees and patrons. If you are an at risk person- please be cautious. Lastly, I will note that my haircut was nice and my hairdresser, sherry, was extremely kind, understanding and considerate. She offered to fix my hair for me, to which her boss, Nancy, seemed to disapprove. This experience was so bad that I feel it is my duty to share it so that other women don't loose hundreds trusting this salon. Now my monthly hair expense will be X3 times that it normally is, because I will have to pay $$ to get corrective color treatments elsewhere. read more

I wanted to love this place, I really did! the owner I have to say was a lovely lady but this isn't about her this is about the outcome of my hair. I have VERY long hair, right to the end of my lower back! (of course I warned her about my hair and how long it was when I made the appointment) so I went ahead and booked my appointment for a HAIRCUT. With that being said, for this being my first time here she was 30 minutes late. Yes i understand things happen and you can't control, but it would of been nice if she would of gave me a phone call or something because I was suppose to pack and leave for my vacation. my hair cut: I wanted more layers, more volume, i felt like there was a missing layer in the middle. I had already washed my hair before I came because I know with my hair it would cost an arm and a leg to have the whole wash cut & dry package. not to mention it was like 90degrees outside. After rewetting my hair, she cut my hair, and blow dried it without asking me if I wanted it blow dried & with no style at all. I wasn't sure what was going on, at this point I was already late on time and said "yes it looks fine thank you" my "HAIRCUT" ended up being $50.00 and looked no different. I ended up going to have another hair stylist fix it when I came back from my vacation for a better price of only 35$ and got exactly what I wanted. I had an appointment at 4pm and arrived at 4:10pm cause I could not find the place and traffic. I entered and she said: oh so sorry I will have to reschedule you cause my next customer arrives in 5 minutes. I am going to cancel my groupon and not go. I cannot believe I rushed at work to get there on time and she asks me to leave for a 10 minute delay, specially in a hairdresser, where I am sure we all have waited more than once because they were late. Was she going to wash, cut and dry my hair in 15 minutes? I don't know, I just don't want to go back, that's not how you treat your customers. read more

I still have been a dedicated customer of Nancy Special Touch. Her salon is one of my favorites. I now been getting frequent hair cuts, deep conditioning, and blow drys. I try to get a Brazilian blowouts when I can afford it. The picture I posted was done by Susan who works at the Salon. She is affordable, so sweet to talk to, and always has a smile on her face. I came by using a groupon coupon for $30 haircut, blowdry, wash and condition treatment. It's not a fancy salon, and a lot of people underestimate what a small salon can do. She is so precise and friendly, I loved it. She listened to what I wanted, and she was so patient with my hair (knots and all). I will be back for a trim! read more

I had been searching for a stylist for over 2 years since the person who did my hair moved away to California. I found Cheri at Nancy's Special Touch through word of mouth. I have curly hair and just like to wash and go. No one before her seemed to be able to cut my curly hair in such a way to maintain the curl and style. She was very professional and pleasant. Listened to my concerns and voila! It came out just as I wanted. The price was amazing and I am going back to have her color and add highlights ( her suggestion when I told her I want to start growing out the color to reveal my own gray hair. She thought it would help make the process not so unseemly.) I'll report how that goes. The shop has plenty of parking in back. Shop is very cute and clean. Don't ever go to this place. Nancy is rude, unprofessional, and awful. My eight year-old daughter had an appointment with Cherie, but when my son, daughter, and I showed up for the appointment, only Nancy and some octogenarian friends of hers were there. No Cherie. Nancy nonchalantly told us Cherie had decided not to come in that day and then went back to gossiping with her friends. She did not say anything else. I asked, "So what now?" She shrugged and didn't say anything. She couldn't possibly have cared less about the inconvenience to my kids & me. I told her I had planned our whole day around that appointment. She said, "Well, she's not coming in." I said, "That's it? No apology? Nothing?" and she said, "No. I didn't do anything wrong." I said, "This is your business, isn't it?" She said, "It's Cherie's mistake, not mine. I don't have anything to apologize for." I said, "So it's your business, but the buck stops...with everyone else? Not you?"
