I will NEVER go back here again. I usually go to a different place but I needed something quick and close to match my Easter dress. I told the girl I wanted something salmon colored and she didn't give me the nail color plates and I had to pick from the bottles despite there being several of the sample nails. I found one that was pink with slightly orange and as soon as she put it on my nails it was neon orange. I made a comment how it looked orange and she said it would "fade in the sun". I made another comment as she kept painting that I didn't like the color and she just looked at my nails and kept going. Also she out so many coats on that it looks like I'm wearing press one which I didn't notice until she was already done and at that point I didn't have time to get it redone. I also noticed after that she didn't go all the way down my nail bed so it looks like I've been wearing them for a week. I asked her how many years she had been doing nails and she said "a long time". I was very unhappy and now I have to put up with these for 2 weeks read more

My wife went here for the first time and was severely disappointed. The nail tech never once asked her how the nails were. She would constantly get up and walk around and stare, then would come back and keep working while not even looking at my wife's nails. The service was so poor my wife shouldn't have paid. The nails are blobbed and not smooth. They are bulky and uneven. They were not even on her nails. The acrylics looked like they had been on for at least 1 week because the tech was so careless. I would recommend finding somewhere else to get nails done because you never know if it's just this tech or if everyone here is completely ill equipped to do what they're being paid to do. 0/5 read more

The price is great, the pedicures are awesome, but the acrylics were awful. I went before for a full set that looked odd but I gave it a second try with a different person who was recommended for the fill. She was really nice, but my hands are in pain from all the severe filing on the pink where it's too short. I guess they try to make your nails look thinner but it's left me with painful fingers and a manicure that doesn't cover my nails and instead filed all unevenly. The polish also doesn't cover all the nail and I'm pretty sure I'm going to need a fill even sooner than normal bc the acrylic doesn't go all the way down either. Again, great pedi and lovely people but this was so painful and disappointing read more

Face required and followed for COVID precautions. My services requested: Manicure and Pedicure The manicure with French tips....I felt like they don't clean your nails. I soaked my nails in plain water. However, the polish was spot on hands down. I have natural nails and it look as thou I have a full set with French Tips.. Now, this Pedicure, I am sold on returning for the Pedicure. The massage was amazing my polish was spot on as well. The trim of my nails were perfect. Water temperature was perfect. They began to speak in a different language from their culture with rude intentions, which as we know is very disrespectful. I do not recommend this place. read more

What a unpleasant experience I have just had 10 minutes ago. I am still very upset and wish I've never gone to this nail place. After I had a great lunch at the Grill I decided to try this nail place and hoped that I would like it becasue it would be a nail place to go in the future since I work very close from this strip mall. WHAT A MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE IN MY LIFE! First of all, they have a horrible selection of color generally and then even the colors they have seem old and unued for a long time. Second of all, the space was so unorganized and empty. I didn't feel welcome or warm or anything like you would feel when you go to your nail salons. The most disappointing thing was their service. The lady who I had was very crumpy and I don't know what her problem was but she was just very rude to me. She tried to cut my cuticles so fast and did not even care or did right, but I didn't say anything till she started hurting me. A good thing it didn't bleed. One point I screamed because she cut it so hard. She just said "your skin is too sensitive. No blood so it is fine" I just wanted to get out of the place asap, but I hoped that it would get better. She did a terrible job cleaning basically and started putting color on my nails horribly. Really really horribly. It was the worst job anybody has ever done for me. Was just unbelievably shocking to watch her coloring. I could have even done better myself than her honestly. After coloring she put a top coat on the first two nails very THICK and then went back to grab something. When she came back she put another a top coating on the first two nails again THICK. I mean it is a top coat. Who put a nail top coat so thick? It looked ridiculous and I couldn't stand any more, so I told her that she already put a top coating on them, but only thing she said "it's fine" and then she totally ignoring and kept coating others THICK of course. So when I said it's too thick she got upset and mean and then started throwing stuff on the table and said "I will remove it for you then and do again" VERY RUDE. At that point, I just couldn't take it any more so told her remove all of them. So she took all nail polish off and I asked her how much and told me $12. I paid her and left. I didn't even want to pay her and my friends told me I shouldn't have even paid, but I felt it was a right thing to do even if she didn't deserve any and was very rude and terrible. Obviously I am very upset and hopfuly I will get over it quickly and find a nail salon soon but I want people to know the truth and I don't want the Richmond people to have the same experience as I do now. read more

I've been here a few times, but will never go again. There are two people that I like doing my pedicure, but the owner/manager is very rude. I called to make an appointment after the holidays and was told that I couldn't because they would be on vacation and returning that day but didn't know what time they would open. When I went in that morning, she told me they were busy and I would have to come back in an hour and a half. I didn't go back, I went somewhere else that welcomed my business and will never go to Nails by Stormy again. I work too hard to have to experience that kind of treatment. You cannot beat the $25 pedicure at Nails by Stormy. I live near there and have been going to Stormy's for about 3 years. The staff are also the owners and it shows in the service they provide. They accept appointments but appointments are not required. The staff are friendly yet don't talk incessantly. A couple of times I've smudged a toe and they always fix it quickly without complaint. I've introduced my mom and sister to Stormy's and they are fans too. I always take my own color so that I can touch up at home as needed. read more
