Let me start by saying this was my first to get a manicure and pedicure. But I think it was great. I definitely went here because of all the great reviews they had. We arrived around 12:30 on a Monday. There were some schools that were closed but most were open. There were a few customers already being helped when we arrived. We waited about 15 minutes in the pedicure chairs for someone the come available. I mainly went because it was something my wife wanted to do and I wanted to go with her. It was funny how many people were staring at me. But that's fine. I liked that after she cut my nails she did a little massage of my calves. Then she had these hot rocks that she rubbed on my legs as well. After that she put hot towels on them. It was a great bonding experience for me and my wife. If I went back I would probably just get my toes done. I don't mind doing my own nails. But it was nice for someone to do my toes and get a little massage as well. A read more

I have been going to Jade Nails for 21 years now. Dan, An and Vi are the BEST! Always clean and everyone is so friendly.

This place will never in life receive my business again. I came here two weeks ago for a fill-in and a full set for my daughter. Our total came to 120 or so and we tipped $20. It wasn't amazing but OK as both of our nails start lifting or coming off within a week. Came back for a fill in, big mistake. Even though I booked with the owner, he sent me to another nail tech who damaged one of my nails, causing the nail bed to bleed terribly. What's even worse is that she tried to continue working on the nail, which is extremely disgusting and unsanitary! The owner proceeded to blame me and my nails for this happening. Wth??? I just came back to have the nail fixed today allowing it to heal and he proceeded to explain to me that if I want him to do my nails that he requires a 15% tip. Sir, why are you telling me this? I will never in life be back here, also that was rather uncouth. Who does this? Never did he offer an apology nor a discount of any sort. I went to this place for years. Moved back an unfortunately went to welcome nail and spa and they botched my nails bad. Made my middle fingers shorted than the rest and dude was rude about me being tense. Which made it worse. So I came back to jade to fill in. They advertise walk-Ins. I went there before they opened on a weekday without an appointment. They said they only took appointments and didn't offer for me to wait for a tech to become available. Appointments only. There was no one in the chairs so it seems they're minimally staffed to only take appointments. I won't go back. read more

Tried this place out today for the first time and I was not impressed. The guy that greeted me was very nice but my nail tech was not friendly at all! She didn't even say hi ! I had to speak first. I'm not happy with my dip manicure honestly. All of my nails are different shapes and not even close to being even. I had to ask her to reshape them and she barley even touched them so I decided to not say anything else since she seemed to have gotten annoyed when I asked her to fix them. Make sure you schedule an appointment. They do accept walk-ins but best to schedule. They are friendly and the Mani Pedi are nicely done. Just like any personal grooming it's subjective and you'll have to match your expectations with the right service technician for you. It might take a couple of attempts but it's worth it. I've been going to Jade Nails for over 15 years. The owners Dan and Anne are wonderful , kind people. I'm reading some of the reviews and I was surprised that some were being called out for not tipping their technicians. I've always tipped so this has never come up. I can't figure out why anyone would go for any kind of salon service and not be prepared to tip. If you can't put it on a credit card or debit card then pay for the service and go to an ATM. These techs work very hard and for hours at a time leaning over your feet and hands to make them look awesome. Granted sometimes you can get a tech that doesn't meet your expectations. This can happen anywhere . Tell the owners your experience and I'm sure they will make it right. Remember these are small business owners and they pay a lot of overhead to keep the doors open. read more

(UPDATED REVIEW 5/13, changing my review from 5 to 4 stars because yesterday my nail beds/cuticles were hurting and it looks like she cut my nail bed with the cuticle on 3 fingers. One which is kind of deep and was bleeding :/ ... other than 3 sore nail beds my original review of everything else stands true.) I went to jade nails for the first time this morning and I really enjoyed my experience! The girl I had was super sweet and very meticulous about getting my nails just right which is a must for me since I'm very picky about them! She was patient with me when I asked her to re-dip my accent nails to make the glitter show up more. I tried the dip powder for the first time and I'm glad I did even though it is pricey with a manicure. The dip seems a lot stronger than shellac and so I think it will last a good 4 weeks or more. I have been using this Salon for about 3 years. One of the technicians Ping does great work and the reason I remain a customer. I visit the nail shop twice a month and spend about $200 a month. The owner told me that my business is not welcome since I was unable to provide a tip for the technician after every visit . It's unfortunate that this business would rather lose $200 a month in order to gain a $20 tip. I would hate to think it would be for any other reason because I was always kind to everyone there. The business owner should keep in mind that every client may not have additional money to tip after spending $100 every visit. read more

If I can give them no stars I would. I went there to get a pedicure done. This was my first time going there since we're new to the area. Upon arrival I was told to have a seat at one of the massaging chairs. I waited there 15 mins but no one came. Usually when I go to nail salons and if they're busy at least they turn the water on so you can soak your feet while you wait. All the staff there were busy. I understand that they were busy since it was evening time but I would've appreciated that upon arrival or while waiting I was told that there's a wait. Will never go back there. read more

I've come here for years and never had an issue. I came in to get my nails done at jade since I know they always do a great job and it's usually affordable but I left paying more than I had originally planned. The menu says a full set of acrylics is $30 they charged me almost $75 to get acrylics and my cuticles cut. This was a cost that was not laid out on the menu for me to see ahead of time and a very upsetting price to find out after everything had already been done. I'm going to have to find a new nail salon. What's the point of having a menu or the prices are gonna be fudged anyways? read more

Let me begin by saying that if I could give this place NO stars...I would. While the atmosphere was clean, the pedicure and dip powder nails I received were horrible... better yet, HORRIBLE!!! I don't know if the tech was new but the pedicure included no buffing or removal of callouses (although the massage was nice), and the shaping, filing and painting would have looked better if done by my three year old. I should have cancelled the dip powder at this point, but the manager, who did my friend's nails did a fantastic job. So, now on to the nails....UGH, the tech spent the best part of 15 minutes trying to find a base coat that wasn't dried up and crusty because I wouldn't let her...another sign that I should have passed and that these folks will use old, clumpy product if you let them... the dip powder was SO horribly FAT and over stacked that I wound up getting out of the seat and saying forget it. After spending 2 hours for a pedicure and nails that weren't half way completed, the manager asked if I could come back so she could fix them. I'll NEVER go back here. There's a reason this place is out of view. Oh and a second thought... while I was there, in that 2 hour span... 2 people came in to complain about nails spitting and lifting after ONLY 2 days. Just got a great basic mani/pedi this afternoon. I was greater promptly and my technician was very friendly and super attentive. As with any nail salon I'm concerned with sanitary and hygienic practices. Jade used all new nail files and several other implements including toe spacers. I had my gel nails filled in two weeks ago. The man that did them did a terrible job of shaping them. They were different shapes and pointed in different directions. He also burned me several times with the drill while shaping them. When I went to a different place to have them filled 2 weeks later, the new place had to remove all of them (they just popped right off) and I had a fungus on my thumb nail. Decided to try this place that's closer to home. Not very impressed with the customer service. Average at best. As a first time customer and person of color I instantly look for differences in service. I arrived 15 minutes after opening. The nail tech that performed my pedicure did not speak, only given hand gestures. I had to initiate conversation. A general welcome wouldve been nice without prompting. By far the fastest pedicure I have ever received in comparison to the person next to me. At the time only 2 other people were getting pedicures. After she finished polishing my nails, she proceeded to spray cleaning solution in bowl below my legs in which I moved to avoid being sprayed. Not sure if she is new or not, but maybe advise techs to wait for the customer to move before cleaning. I think I will return to my old nail shop by target on hull. I found this place based on the other yelp review and decided to try it after my old nail salon came under new management. I am soooo glad that I decided to try it. It is near Woodlake in the same shopping center as the 5 Guys. Excellent work and service and decent pricing. The owner's mother is so adorable. She walks around making sure that everyone is comfortable and handing out bottles of water to customers. My nails have never looked better. It can get busy in there so make an appointment or try to get in early. read more

Jade nails are very professional and they focus on sanitation to the limits !! The most cleanest salon in the southside of the river. They give all their attention to their clients and they make you feel at home. I go there for acrylic nails as well as pedicures. My hands are in different cleaning chemicals 5 days a week and my nail always stays on. I can go 3 weeks without a fill in and no lifting no breakage. Need I say more. read more
