I was very surprised by the few negative reviews for Brandon- when I read them I thought maybe they have him mistaken with someone else? I have been going to Brandon for over 20 years and he is just the best! He makes it easy to get an appointment and always tries to work with your schedule. and he is FAST. Like, I can come on my lunch and he gets them done before I'm late. You don't just get your nails done like some shops where they don't know you or care if you come back. Brandon remembers your name after 1 time and I feel like I'm his only customer. He's funny and silly- and even asks about my family. My nails always get compliments and a fill easily lasts 3 weeks! I found Brandon on Yelp after I had been going to another nail technician in town. I liked the other technician a lot but 3 of my nails ended up having fungus under them and I felt as though that didn't matter to the other technician. NOTE: I did my own nails for over 10 years and I NEVER had fungus so this was huge to me... I am extremely picky about my nails. Brandon DOES use a Dremel but he is good with it (although his technique with it is original)... He also hand files parts. Here is the deal -- he is FAST -- like super fast... and by fast I don't mean quick and careless. I mean he is a super fast working guy even in the midst of joking around, singing, laughing etc. He has a fantastic accent and is very self deprecating while still being extremely confident. He still tries to sell himself to me talking about his skills even though I have been going to him for a few months now. BUT he won't waste your time -- even with my nitpicking he is quick and thorough. Don't be afraid to have him take a breath and fix something if it bugs you... he will do it -- even if he jokingly complains... he learns what you like and then remembers it. He does NOT do all of the cool designs you see in the pictures on here now because he is in his own little space and the air brush would be a MESSSSSS to use in that space. Trust me -- from someone who loves nail art -- it wouldn't work in this space. He will do painting (if you coax him or have a special occasion) and acrylic designs just not the airbrush. I am still working with him on what designs I like etc but he knew a color I loved and even went out and got a brand new copy of the color so he had it when I came in... his customer service is high even though he seems rushed and in a hurry all of the time -- he is clearly drinking too much soda HA HA His pricing is fair -- so don't believe anyone that says he is unreasonable he is not. The nails that he does for me last 3 weeks but I do have slight lift at that point. Other than that he is great. He doesn't like to pawn you off on anyone when he can't see you either. He is thorough and really wants his customers to come back. He texts responses immediately and calls when he is able to in between clients if needed. Never going back here. I didn't even see in the salon how bad of a job this was until I was in my car at home. He took an hour. I've never had my nails done this bad. I could have done a better job myself. I saw the reviews and finally decided to go to him, and I wish I hadn't wasted my money. Nails are scratched, not even fully painted, applied around nails on skin, and very uneven. And this is a gel. So disappointed. Updated to say that it's only been 5 days and my cuticles are in terrible condition..probably due to the total of 20 mins my fingers were DIPPED in acetone. That's not good for the skin under any circumstance. Not to mention how the sides of my nails have been painful due to improper filing and cleaning of cuticles. Go somewhere else! read more

When he did my nails at first I was ok, after looking at them closer they were misshaped, and god awful. Each nail looked different, the nails were thick like bubble nails. I was in a pinch leaving for vegas the net day so I was stuck with them. If you are picky about your nails and demand quality don't go to Brandon . read more

Sorry to say I didn't even get a polish because when I got there he only had a few old dark colors. Regardless, it was just to dirty for me. So in all fairness I'm not sure if he's any good. I only wanted a polish. Apparently he primarily does gels so he had no polish. I left. Disappointing since I had appointment. Wish he would have told me he didn't have any decent colors. read more

Apparently i have never really had a proper pedicure before. Which is strange, since I recently moved here from San Diego, where there is a nail salon on every corner. I chose Brandon due to his Yelp ratings, which did not fail me whatsoever :) I met with him today for the first time and it certainly won't be the last. I have NEVER experienced such knowledgeable professionalism! What a treat! Brandon is the consummate professional, is confident and educated, and is efficient, personable and gracious. What a disaster. I have never been so anxious to leave a nail appointment. From start to finish it was awful. The space he works in is super tiny and really dirty. I don't mean messy but actually dirty. Obviously I was grossed out and worried that I would end up with some fungal disease. He is not a clean person at all and that's something that is important to me for anyone cutting my hair, waxing, nails, etc. It's kind of a basic expectation to be clean when you're touching someone else. He has very limited nail colors to choose from and didn't seem to understand what I was looking for. I just wanted a natural gel color and he only had an ugly taupe. After realizing that's all he had I said ok. Fast forward, he ended up putting pink on my nails anyway and by then I was already so unhappy I just wanted it to be over with so I didn't say anything. He charged me $60 for a pedicure (regular) and gel nails. I have no idea if that's a good deal or not as I recently moved here from NY and the prices here are way more than what I paid there. I had been reading all the rave reviews about him on Yelp and figured they must be right. They're not. I have no idea who these other people have been going to but it can't be the same person. When I told him I wanted to get the calluses on my feet taken off he started rubbing my feet so hard with the pumice stone that days later I still have cuts on my feet. He burned my leg with a hot towel - really burned not just kind of hot. He cut the cuticles on my fingers until they bled. I now have polish all over my nails as if a child painted them. Not only did he paint the wrong color on them but they are gloppy and uneven with more paint on the front than the back of the nail. My toes have paint all over the cuticles and as I said before are cut. What a joke. Definitely not going back and won't trust Yelp for future reviews. read more

Brandon is amazing! He always does my nails exactly how I want them. He does them thin, thick, long or short! He even does his own white and it's way better!!! He is super fast too! Brandon is the BEST. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Before I saw Brandon, I had AWFUL nails. I bit them constantly and they were really short. I had never had a manicure before and I was really nervous about going. I actually called ahead to see if he could deal with people who bite their nails, and he said "of course!" And he really did know what he was doing. Over the course of a couple months, my nails went from being short/nasty to really nice looking under the solar nails that Brandon uses. He coached me on how to take care of them and was really complimentary about my progress in breaking the biting habit. If you want to stop biting your nails, Brandon can help. Great nails...great person...great time! I used to struggle w white lines on the pink fill and even going darker wouldn't smooth the lines. I was always told it's because I have thin/soft nail beds, so I generally resorted to colored gel. Brandon does the French nails on me and they are smooth, thin and slightly narrower at the tip, which looks so so natural. It's a pleasure when the person that does your nails or hair becomes your friend! I just found out that today is Brandon's birthday, so it's the perfect day to write this much-deserved 5* review! Brandon is hands down my most favorite nail technician ever! He will design your nails based on what you want them to look like. He works faster than any other person out there but does a way better job. Prices are extremely good for the quality he provides. He is able to put a smile on his clients face. Went here because of numerous Facebook recommendations and high yelp rating. I went for a fill and to get two nails replaced. Took almost an hour to complete. He made my nails a lot stronger but one of my nails are crooked. The brown paint from my previous application wasn't taken all the way off--which I didn't see til I got home. One nail pAint wasn't dry all the way and has marking in paint on nail. His shop was extremely dirty. It's been a week and I have lost one nail. read more

I left with the skin broken in the quick of two fingers, glue all around my nails and uneven edges. I don't think I've ever been more disappointed (and sore). I have been to nail salons all around Eugene and Springfield. The last one was Nails Uncorked where they used the dremle [sp] tool so to remove my polish and went so deep I was unable to wear nails for several months. I went to Brandon with a lot of skepticism and told him. He worked very hard to assuage my fears AND give me beautiful nails again. Found him online with good reviews and called to see if he had availability. He scheduled with me, but then made me feel guilty that he had to stay late to do my nails. He rushed through them and was irritated when I asked for the nail to be even and not diagonal. He cut me with the file because he was going so fast. He called me picky when I said that I needed them shorter after already telling him they can't be too long because I have contacts and need to get them out. I chose a nail color and he told me that it was wrong and I obviously didn't know what was in. The color is amazing and definitely in! I could not wait to leave.. he cut me. he knows who this is...............my husband was upset, because it was day before MY 64 birthday...........................and my husband called him concerned about infection, I could not wear my sandals, which added more stress.............. this guy Brandon, is a nice guy................but I would never go back, ...............this was 4-8-2016........................so this did not work for me............. ...................I am choosing to stop spending money on pedicure stuff, am concerned about health, and safety so I do not want to do this anymore. Brandon is great. He is quick and will listen to comply with your wishes. If you break a nail or there is a problem days later, he is eager to fix it for you. He is quick to respond to texts and will work around your schedule to accommodate your needs. He is a very nice person with a lot of great skills as a nail technician. He is the best! read more
