10.4.25: Flew down to visit a friend who lives in Huntington Beach and while visiting, her daughter flew over to visit too. They wanted to get pedis and I went along for the ride. My friend made appointments so when we walked in, we didn't have to wait. We were greeted and told to start looking and pick out a nail polish color. Once I choose my color, I was ushered to a pedi station with a massage chair. I was offered tea or coffee and chose hot tea, which was a nice gesture. I went with the Royal pedicure, almost costing 60 bucks and with a generous tip of $20. The pedicure included: Callus treatment, Exfoliating massage with sea salt and fresh orange, Hydrating mask wrap with hot towel, Paraffin hot wax, 20 min. Massage with hot oil, Hot stone, and Hot towel wrap. Tbh, I don't recall the hot stone being done. Overall, the nail tech was thorough and gentle and did a great job. Imo, it's a bit overpriced but it's California so I expected that lol. It was pretty busy and stayed steady the entire time we were there. Salon was pretty big and had many stations and many nail colors to choose from. There were also a few TVs. My favorite part was getting lost in the massage chair and being pampered for a bit.

I have been a customer of Mai at Nails Boutique for over 20 years. Today was my 2nd time getting the Gel Builder and I absolutely love it! My nails are very thin and this product is very hard and works well for me. I like how they are using new products and suggesting which is best for my nails. Try it, you'll like it

Their nail work is always top notch and reasonable prices (compared to others) . Mai, just did this beautiful, age appropriate gel manicure for my daughter. Cute and fun!

Vicky does a great job every time. I get lots of compliments on my nails. She has gentle hands and never leaves a mess. My nails don't chip or break between visits. They have lots of ladies, so they usually can get to you right away, but I usually make an appointment. I always leave happy.

First time here, did a great job. Got to the front and paid my service. Then the lady at the front desk asked do you have Zelle or Venmo, I questioned for what she replied tip. Tip is a voluntary service upon your own request. They definitely make it most uncomfortable forcing a tip. read more

I am not sure how long I have been a patron of Nails Boutique & Spa. If I had to guess, I would say 10+ years. I have never received services that I was not thrilled with. My all stars are Tina, Tina's daughter, and sweet Holly. When any one of them is away, I hold my breath till they get back. I can NOT say enough .... disappointed. Workers were rude, they cut me at least 3 times, prices are extremely expensive for super short nails, gave me a attitude, they didn't pick the right color and I even told them it wasn't the color I wanted. Overall a bad vibe and wasn't given any respect. read more

I came on a Saturday to get gel manicure/Pedicure for myself & regular mani pedi for my daughter. I called ahead so they knew we were coming. Long story short all of my daughters nails popped off the night we got home. Yes, regular nail polish "POPPED OFF". Check pictures for details. I called & we wnt back the next day to get it fixed. She rushed & painted the missing nails as we sat by the seating area. It was the nail tech that has blonde hair/blond streaks. Guess what...Monday morning nail polish popped off again. Either thebpolish is cheap or they did a horrible job of prepping my baby girls nails. read more

I've had my nails done before but my regular spot was booked. Checked around for a new spot near home and came across this spot. Came in waited a bit. Got someone assigned to me. The tech started her work. Chose the color and design I wanted. The regular stuff. I had to remind my tech to file all my nails not just 8 of my fingers. She missed two. The cuticles weren't properly cleaned. Had to point those out for her to finish. Then on some of my fingers she went a little deep causing minor bleeding. Never happened before. When I finished I wasn't that impressed with the work, but for the price I guess it is what it is. I personally wouldn't come back. I'd just keep going to my usual spot. read more

Established in 1997.

We started as a small salon with just a few tables and chairs in a small suite. Now we have 15 spa chairs, 2 waxing rooms for waxing and facials, and a lot of return customers! We appreciate all of their loyalty! We were also featured in OC Weekly Magazine.

I didn't get to see what it looked like before, but the end result is a spacious, bright and airy salon that invites you to kick back, relax and get your pamper on. I came before leaving for a tropical vacation to get a fun green mani-pedi, and was able to walk in for an appointment and be accommodated immediately. I forget the names of my nail technicians (sorry!) but both of them were very thorough and did a great job with my hard gel manicure and gel pedicure, respectively. Special shout out to their large comfy massage chairs, which gave me a much needed full back massage, to complete the whole spa experience. Two weeks out from my manicure, I continue to get compliments on my nails, a testament to their work. Please note they take credit card, but try to bring cash for tip, some of the technicians take Zelle as well!

A year ago I decided to give acrylics a try for some back to back international travel I was preparing for and wanted to have nails that looked great the whole time. It was the first time I have had fake nails since the mid-90s and I was obsessed (see some of the photos below). I always saw Holly and she made them look beautiful every time. Today I decided to take a little break from the acrylics and was shocked at how strong, long and actually healthy my own nails are, a true testament to the care Holly placed on my nails every time I came in for a fill. I actually can't wait to have acrylics again, and plan to go back to Holly. Especially, now, after seeing that my own nails are in such great shape. Also, as a side note, I never ever lost or broke an acrylic over the last year, and I am VERY hard on my hands (gardening, yard work, travel, kids etc). Lastly, this salon is so wonderful. First, I have tried this salon twice now (so that you don't have to) and have been dissatisfied on both occasions. The second occasion has made me mad enough to write this review. Also, I get my nails done every 3 weeks routinely (always dip on my natural nail, always the same shape) and have never experienced such unprofessional conduct until I tried this salon. --Bad Quality: I asked for extremely natural color and shape. First time I went, the shape was fine but the dip did not last more than 5 days before it started "crumbling"/breaking near the tip. I work so I couldn't get back to the salon to address this and decided to give them one more chance. I gave them this second chance when I went back less than 2 weeks after the first visit. This second visit, the nail tech (Natalie) said she would do an extra layer of dip (total of 3 layers) to make sure it didn't crumble/break as fast (since dip usually lasts me 3 weeks without breaking)--she did the 3 layers and my nails were extremely thick/globby. She fixed the thickness a little bit with the drill but they were still SO much thicker than any other nail salon I've been to (all other salons have done 3 layers and still managed to make them look natural/not so thick/globby). 4 days later, I've already had one of the extremely thick ones break/crumble--I say "crumble" because it is not a clean break like you'd expect, it's literally crumbling off--this means whatever process they are using to dip is not good bc clearly the chemical agents are not activating properly. --Unprofessional Response: I called the second it broke (4 days later on Monday) and asked if they could fix it after work at 5:30 PM (their business hours are listed as being open until 7PM--they told me that I could "come now" (in the middle of my work day) to which, I told them I could not come before 5:30 any week day since I work full time. They told me that they wouldn't be open at 5:30 and that they'd close at 3 today bc they didn't have any more appointments scheduled to make them stay open until 7PM (their listed business hours). They told me that I could come at 5Pm on Thursday to get fixed. I cannot wait that long as the nail is snagging my clothes. They offered no other accommodation despite me explaining that I work M-F and they offered no explanation as to why their publicly listed business hours were not accurate. I would have never chosen this salon had I known that its listed business hours were not accurate since I work and always look for a salon with later availability in case needed. Their response was not only unprofessional, but their tone on the phone was "annoyed" that I would even ask them to fix the crappy job that they did to begin with. I will not be going back and recommend that you look elsewhere if you don't want your dip to crumble or nails to look like thick-globs.

Unprofessional & Impolite !!!! During my last visit, I was walked to the front counter by the manicurist, I heard the Asian guy at the front counter spoke in a foreign language but in a very rude and disrespectful voice to the worker. He was yelling at his worker. Obviously, I didn't understand what was said but he sounded so angry And impolite. A lot of the nice ladies that work here don't speak English and doesn't understand the Labor Laws that are there to protect them against abusive business owner. I know Asian business owners treat their workers like properties instead of value assets to their business, this Asian guy need to take a course on how to treat people with respect. I felt offended by his unprofessionalism and found it to be IMPOLITE. I am not coming back to this place. read more

Dear all current and potential clients, I want to share a very rude experience with the front desk guy who answers the phone. I was referred by a friend who goes here and she recommended this place because the nail technicians here are very nice and does beautiful nails. When I called to make an appointment, I spoke to a VERY RUDE guy at the front desk. His tone of voice tells me that he does not need the business. I am asking all customers to not support this business and encourage everyone to Yelp your experience at this place. As consumers we deserve better treatment from busineses. If this place wasn't relatively far from me, I would be here all the time! The pedicures are AWESOME and I go here mainly for the GEL MANICURES. I work with water a lot, so it's great every time I get a gel mani; they don't chip for two weeks and stay shiny all the time (something you don't get from regular manicures!). Everything is always spotless and clean here, and service is great. There are TVs and magazines in case you get bored and music playing too! Quick Tip: If you're going in on the weekend, give them a call! They get booked up pretty fast, since this salon is so popular. I Have been to every nail salon in town. I am not picky, not a complainer, never go back to get something fixed I am everyone's fav. client. So if I don't like a place I just don't go back. I have been coming back to this shop for a while now:) Yes the speak in Vietnamese and answer their cell phones once in a while.. but that is everywhere... if you don't like that go to a hair salon where they have white ladies doing your nails for $60 full set and $30 fill. You get what you pay for. I Really like the end result. I have always been happy with how my nails look leaving there. I love the Gel polish... It is great and last weeks! read more
