We called when we were about 20 minutes from arriving to see if they could take us. It was one of those weird rainy days and they sounded hesitant but said yes. Perhaps they were slow and going to close early? Not sure. She had a pedicure, I got a fill. The nails were fantastic. Good shape, great gel color selection. Fast but detailed. She loved her pedicure. The reason for dropping two stars is service related. They were curt from the start, and the BIG disappointment was their stern refusal to give my friend the disposal sandals although it had stopped raining hours prior. The floors outside were clearly dry - although it was dark and gloomy still. They pointed to their sign that read something like due to the rain slippery floor etc. She had worn uggs in. She repeatedly assured them it was dry out, she'd be careful and assumed all liability for wearing them but they still refused. It seemed odd and rude to me. We could have just waited forever until they dried, but considering it was close to closing for them and you could tell they wanted to leave, you'd think they would just give her the darn things... There are so many places that do a great job, and for the lofty cost of getting an "optional" service, the least I expect is kindness. Being unkind killed it for me. I just did a Brazilian was literally the worst experience I've ever had. I still have wax on my vagina. And it's really uncomfortable of course because of the language barrier. I don't know if they get it. They used a honey wax and and used the same stick I didn't notice till the end because she was picking at my Pu***y so much. This place is terrible. Made an appt for my daughter and I for 2:00. They took me at 2:00 and by 2:30 my daughter was still waiting to be started. What's the point in a reservation? I had finally grown my nails a little and the technician cut them as short as you can POSSIBLY get. I asked her why she cut them so short and she just laughed and couldn't respond. My daughter got acrylics/gels and there is glue or powder or something all around her cuticles. It was $65 with tip out of her hard earned babysitting money and her nails look terrible. I had been here years before and had a bad experience and should've listened to my gut not to go back, but it's where my daughters friends go so she wanted to try it. So I was referred to this place by a coworker, it was the biggest mistake and I waisted $90 for horrible customer services and a bad gel pedicure and Dip powder manicure. I had had the same Dip powder nails since the end of July, mind you this was now Sept 5, with no cracks, chips or peels, just new grow. I should have just drove back to Rancho Cucamonga. My first problem was Kathy who did my feet. She came in talking bad as if she didn't to want to do my feet from the start. She was beyond rude and rough on my feet. Kathy proceeded to do a horrible job by half doing massage on my feet she hadn't even washed. I had just gotten off of work. She was very condescending with the fake smile when I asked her about it and did not even massage the bottom of my feet at all. Mind you, this was a $42 gel pedicure. I just asked Diane to finish my feet because I was so frustrated and could tell Kathy was not happy having to do my feet. Diane was very sweet but did not do a good job on my nails. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she proceeded to do my Dip Powder thick on my cuticles and thin on the bottom of the nails. I asked her to file them down because you could see how bad they were but it made my nails sore trying to thin them out by my cuticles. Diane tried very hard to correct them but really it would have required adding more Dip powder to balance the nails. By the end of it I had thickness on top of the nail and my tips were so thin, they were bendable. They were worse than just getting gel. I did show this to the young man working next to us and I told him they would probably crack and if so could I come back to get them fix, he said yes. I still tipped Diane $5 because she did try. I gave Diane $1 only because they didn't have change. Well just as I expected, the nails started changing colors, chipping and peeling. They didn't even make it 2 weeks. I called to get them fixed and was told I needed to pay another $40 or have Diane who did a horrible job on my nails in the first place, redo them. It was explained to me that the customer pays their employees so it would not be fair for someone else to redo them, I could get them done again but Diane would have to do them otherwise pay $130 for services I never got in the first place. The shop is full of employees and I am not willing to pay another $40 to take a chance on someone else, I can just go somewhere where I am treated with respect as a paying customer. Unfortunately, I truly feel if my color of skin wasn't black, I would not have had such a hard time getting them fixed, I was even willing to pay half, but not the entire thing for something that was done horrible in the first place. It had nothing to do with customer service, just their money. Very rude and unprofessional, not to mention the racist and rude Kathy working there. I will take my money and business elsewhere. read more

I have been a regular customer at Nails 2000 for several years. I was loyal to this location even staying during the transition of new ownership. I spend a couple hundred on services per month, often more when bringing my daughter or company. I liked and appreciated the young man who did my nails, and I was one of his first customers, happily allowing the growing pains that come with learning. I enjoyed all the ladies who gave me the deluxe princess pedicures. Yesterday, I was told that Nails 2000 can no longer give me "same time service", meaning nails and pedicure at the same time , due to being very busy and wanting to accommodate walk-ins as well as appointments. I was very surprised and caught off guard by the lecture I received from Katherine on the phone. I said "I'm sorry I don't have time to spend several hours at a nail salon based on your new policy, I will have to go somewhere else". Katherine proceeded to repeat herself adding that "sometimes employees call in sick and they're just too busy to guarantee both services at the same time". So I calmly said it's very disappointing they would not at least continue this service for those who are regular customers and tip generously. Katherine explained that my loyalty and generosity is NOT taken into consideration because ALL their customers mean the same to them whether they are walk-ins or regulars, regardless what they tip. Again, I was very sad and surprised that they did not cherish my loyalty, my patronage or generosity because I believed my sentiments were reciprocated all these years. Sadly, I will miss the wonderful employees who worked so kindly on my nails and toes, I will miss Ken, he did wonderful work on my nails! In Southern California there are too many wonderful nail salons who have "same time service" ! No one should have to experience such apathy at Nails 2000. Yelp needs to allow a no star option. Since that isn't allowed, realize that is the only reason there is a star here. I had a 6 pm appointment. Arrived about five minutes before, walk in, and multiple employees turned to look at me but said nothing to me. I figured they must have someone who takes care of that or the person who will take care of me in the back, so they will come out and help me. I sit in a chair up front still visible to everyone there. Two other people come in a few minutes later and someone turns and asks right away how they can help them. Then I had to say - that's why I'm here too. I was put in a chair and told to pick my color, but nothing was said like - someone will be right with you or anything like that. By 6:05 I realized there is no way anyone there was anywhere close to taking care of me because they were all still very much in the middle of the other people they were taking care of. At 6:10 I asked the guy working at the table next to me, "There is no one to take care of me for my 6 pm appointment, is there," and I got no response, so I left. I want my gas money back and the time I wasted going there, sitting there, and not getting the service I wanted because I was ignored back. Either be careful with booking so you aren't overbooked or don't take walk-ins, or, if there was going to be a wait, explain that. Don't ignore someone when they come in and then ignore them once you seat them and not respect the appointment times. If it looked like someone was close to done and would be getting to me soon, if they hadn't ignored me when I came in, if they had given me an estimated wait time, I might have stayed, but none of that happened, and I know they don't care. This is only the second time I was going here. It isn't my usual nail place, but it is closer so I was going because I specifically wanted my nails done and couldn't get to my usual salon in time for that. That was a mistake. You know it's bad when you walk out before even getting a service. Called ahead to ask about dip powder and was told to come in at 4:30. Did that. Was greeted by a lady I didn't catch her name and was told to sit down at one of the tables. Sally was the nail tech that was supposed to do my dip powder. First of all, she was not very polite. Her first question after I told her I'd like a dip powder is that "okay a fill?". No, I would like a dip manicure. At this point I'm already concerned about what is about to happen to my nails. Then I was given a ring of about 12-15 nail colors (almost all pink) and I asked if they had any other colors and was told "no but we can do powder and put gel color on top". Then wouldn't that be a gel manicure? I said no thanks and left. Do not come here if you're looking to get a dip powder service. read more

I try not to write bad reviews, but this place was terrible. I have never been cut to the point of bleeding at any nail salon... EVER! Well today was my first experience with that. I had "Tin" or "Tim" not really sure which, but he continued to hurt me and I multiple times had to pull away from him being so rough. He kept telling me "you are sensitive" over and over. I continued to sit and let him do his job until he filed the side of my nail so hard it began to bleed. Again I was told I was "sensitive" and then I said "except I'm bleeding." He didn't apologize and proceeded to put nail polish remover on my now bleeding cut, only making the pain worse. My nails turned out probably 5 out of 10 on overall quality, so the experience all around was pretty terrible. I appreciated the front desk girl giving me a discount for my bad experience. She genuinely seemed concerned and upset I had a bad experience, but no one should be bleeding after getting their nails done. Don't go here! read more

Diane was horrible to both myself and my mother... she cut up our cuticles on multiple visits, was very mean, talked badly at my mom who is in her 70's, barking loudly at her to hold still and did the same with me when I got stuck with her for nails on next visit. I will never go there again. I left with sliced and bloody nails and so did my mother. We both tried to tell the lady at the front desk but she didn't seem to care. BUT, I have decided to change the review after I just walked out of this salon so frustrated. So Diane did my pedicure, another time I had her and was not happy, and my mother comes here too and always avoids her... but I was hoping it would be fine this time. Nope, she continually gives the bare minimum in effort, and especially, in customer service. Zero attention to detail. She did not even open the tools in front of me, but used the ones sitting that were unwrapped to clip my cuticles etc. after I asked if those were clean she assured me she opened them right before I sat down. I also asked for a certain purplish color but it came out not how it looked on the sample nail... bright pink! I asked why the color turned out that way and the front desk girl came over and told me it's supposed to be gel and that's why the colors are different..? And that if I wanted a new color I would need to pay $9 extra. Mind you, there was a wait forming so that probably had something to do with it but that shouldn't matter. I will never come back here because of their awful customer service. DIANE IS THE WORST, don't have her do your nails... unless you don't care about the shape, the color or the cuticles being cleanly trimmed.
