Wish I could rate it 0 stars. I'm visiting from out of town and noticed that there's a nail salon on every corner. I chose this salon because of the yelp reviews. I'm sad to say I had an embarrassing horrible experience. I walked in and a women asked "what did you want to do today?" All I could get out was "I would like" and she immediately turned and walked away, straight to the back room. She just left me there as other customers stared. I have been going to John for my mani/pedi needs and Lynn for my waxing needs for 5 years at their location in Great Bridge (Chesapeake) and when they moved to Nail Pro I cried! I visited a couple of times at Nail Pro, and due to the distance of Nail Pro from where I live I tried several places closer to home and NO ONE compares to them! I have come back to them and as long as I am in Virginia I will continue to drive the distance every two weeks!! Nail Pro is a beautiful salon. The pedi chairs are comfortable. All the workers wear masks; it kind of makes me wonder why they don't give everyone a mask on their way in. I started going to My Spa and Nails at Hilltop. My wife, her friend, and I went there for spa pedicures and the place really took me by surprise in a good way. It's very nicely appointed, clean, and had a brand new movie playing on a 40 inch TV right in front of you while you sit in the very new massage chair. The inside of the shop is nice with recessed lighting in the ceiling and domed cielings with arches and pillars to make it very roman feeling and the painting of clouds with birdson the ceiling was very relaxing and peaceful as well. The pedicure options range for $32 for Pedicure, $36 for Spa Pedicure which includes parafin wax coating, and massage. The hot stone addition makes it $41 and the anti-aging package is $46 which includes every service and is the top of the line package. We went in with no appointment and all three of us were able to be taken care of right away. My nail technician was friendly and did a great job. My wife and her friend were also very pleased with their technicians and we will all definitely return to this place. read more

I visited NP on a whim for a quick pedicure. While the technician I ended up with was nice & did a great job, I'll stick to my usual spot. The wait time was about 15-20 minutes in a foot bath before anyone could get to me. Seems like nothing but if you've ever done so before, it can be a bit annoying. I'd rather you honestly tell me the wait time & I'll make my decision then to wait or leave. The pedi menu stated the price for the one I wanted was $36. My card was charged for $44. Not sure why, hoping it was combined gratuity because they do not allow tipping from your debit/credit card. Meaning, if you don't have cash on hand - your technician isn't being tipped. My daughter and I came here for pedicures. The prices are very reasonable. The pedicure area is relaxing and there's tv to watch while getting pedicure. My toes looked great after the pedicure. My only problem with the pedicure is it was uncomfortable. It hurt while male tech was cleaning up cuticles and the massage made me flinch several times. Also, they only take cash tips. I had no cash on me and didn't realize until after I paid. There's an ATM but I didn't want to pay fee. Overall, my feet looked really good and the establishment is comfortable to relax in, but I didn't enjoy it enough to return. read more

Every time I come here, I get the exact same thing. A basic mani and a basic pedi with gel polish. The last 3 times I've gone, I've been charged 3 different prices. First time was around $70-75, second time $89 and yesterday $59. I keep asking why the price difference and no one can seem to explain to me. The $89 time, I was told it was due to the polish color I chose. All I did was pick a polish off the wall, there was no sign to tell me some colors were more than others. My visit yesterday was the last straw. The person doing my mani/pedi at one point was massaging my leg one handed while texting on his phone with the other hand. For several minutes. Also during my mani, he stopped to text a couple times. This is so unprofessional. He rushed through the polish on my pedi, it's very see through, definitely needed more coats. He didn't file the glitter on the tips of my nails, so the pieces of glitter hang off and my nails are jagged feeling and catch on every piece of fabric. It seems as though they charge whatever they feel like on that particular day. I was told yesterday $59 (I got a 5% discount for paying cash) should be the price I always pay. Which means the last 2 times I've overpaid to the tune of atleast $35. I work hard for my money and what this business is doing is not okay. read more

I was surprised with a manicure and pedicure. This is not my usual place, but i gave it a try. I got the aroma stone spa pedicure. Both the pedicure and manicure felt very rushed and all the treatment was not completed. The rough skin from feet were not removed.
