My friend and I found this place and wanted to try it out! We got there and the lady said go wash your hands. We had an okay pedicure except she didn't understand I wanted gel nail polish on my toes as well but my nails look horrible and it was overpriced for something I didn't ask for. Will not be going back again. I have to get them redone somewhere else before my trip! read more

I truly wanted to love this place since they were able to take me in as a last minute walk-in, but I can't. While my nails look nice, the technician that worked on me was quite the opposite, except when I handed her the tip... The only time she spoke to me was when I spoke to her and she was very short about everything. During my fill-in, she CUT my finger and pretended like it didn't happen. She continued to do my nails and put ACETONE on my cut (to say that it was painful is an understatement). Never once did I receive an apology for cutting me or even an acknowledgement of it. I've heard great things about this nail salon, and while I understand everyone has bad days, this was a regrettable situation. read more

I've had the pleasure of going to this salon twice, and I've had a great experience with Lexi both times. She was the perfect mix of letting me just relax and enjoy the mani when I didn't feel like talking, but she also was great to chat with when I wanted to. I felt safe with the COVID protections in place, and the place was clean and welcoming. And on top of all of that, the prices were great. I was able to easily get an appointment when I wanted. Just be aware that tips are in cash only - so make sure you get some out ahead of time. My only regret is that I've been so busy that I haven't made it in recently, but I'm hoping to get back there soon. I recommend them to everyone! read more

I stumbled upon Jenny's nails while on vacation in virginia beach. This place stood out to me because of the wide range and varieties of polishes that they offer. Mai was my nail tech for the first time and she did an amazing job at helping me pick my color and design since I wasn't quite sure what I wanted. I've gone to so many nail places that would want to rush their work instead of take the time to perfect every little detail, Mai was able to shape my nails exactly how I wanted it to look, she was funny and super easy to talk to. I would definitely go here again if I'm in the area. Also i'm very shocked at why this place has any low rated reviews because from my experience, i got my bang for my buck!! read more

It was my first visit and end of the day. They were busy I was going to leave and come back next day. They said wait 10 minutes. I'm glad I did. They were very friendly and took real good care of my nails. The place that had done them before didn't do a very good job. Jenny nail recognized it and removed the gel nails and started over no extra charge for removal. I was the last customer and they didn't do a rush job. I will be going there from now on :-) read more

The ladies are super friendly and courteous. The service was great and price is definitely more affordable than other places I've been to. I would come here again since they were so nice. The person who did my nails was engaging. They also decorated the salon in Halloween decor which was super cute. It wasn't crowded at all. There were 2 other ladies that were getting their nails done and I came in around 4. She definitely took her time but understandably because I hadn't had my nails done in a while. I was very happy with the service! read more

My daughter and I had an awful experience. Her nails look horrible. And mine are peeling after two days. I called and spoke with the owners daughter. Politely asked for a refund. She was very condescending and mean. She was insulting me over the phone saying that I couldn't comprehend. Never apologized. Awful customer service very very rude people. Take a look at the photos. read more

I've been coming here 11 years and their previous nail salon for 4 years. Wonderful owners, knowledgeable staff and the best place in Virginia Beach read more

Poor execution of a manicure. They didn't trim the cuticles, nail polish was all over my skin. The place needs to be renovated.

My first time there I went there and they treated me nice but I'm sorry I'm sorta not satisfied with my nails. I got Mac and it started peeling not even a week later. I have had friends who have gone here and I have told me that they can do a lot better so I'm going to give them another try or I'm going to take my business elsewhere hopefully it gets better. read more

So, after checking out 5 or 6 different VB nail salons in search of an aesthetician skilled in ombré nail techniques, I have found a winner! My primary goal was to find someone able to provide a professional looking acrylic ombré manicure. A clean, hygienic salon was obviously a nonnegotiable concern. While not the top priority, my positive rating has also been influenced by the level of attentiveness to my requests as well as the overall ability to interact with clients. In my experience, local service providers and clients sometimes struggle with language barriers despite the best of intentions. Alexi (Lexi) at Jenny's Nails by far surpassed my expectations. At the very least I believed the generation gap would complicate casual conversation given the differences in our ages. Nope! This young lady is gifted with the ability to converse in a humorous, thoughtful and intelligent manner, all the while providing skilled services. Not only were my nails done beautifully--exactly (and affordably) as I desired, I was able to view the amazing workmanship on her previous client. The intricate details Lexi was able to display on her client's nails was simply stunning and most impressive. Honestly, I have never seen such a gorgeous end result. Lexi is truly an artist! As a long time resident of Kempsville, I am incredulous that I have found such a talented artist in my own backyard! If I had a complaint it would be...wait, no- Lexi gave me the opportunity to tweak any potential issues prior to her completing my manicure-so, no complaints--unless asking Jenny's management to add the ability to do online scheduling is a valid concern.... Otherwise, there is no reason to not be ecstatic about a salon that employs such talented, personable and knowledgeable staff. To quote Arnold--"I'll be back!" read more

I have been coming here for years! My entire family is welcomed and cared for like we are a part of their family. Pedicures for everyone and teen eyebrows are under control. Lol. The free hand nail designs are always beautiful. We came for the service and keep coming back for the family hospitality. read more

I've been going to Mai ever since she started doing nails and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for good quality nail work. She is professional and meticulous in her work, but knows how to have a good conversation and is very down to earth. Her work speaks for itself. Everyone at Jenny Nails are always so friendly and caring also. They offer a variety of pedicures besides just the standard pedicure and each pedicure comes with hot towels also. Their basic manicure comes with a paraffin also which is good for those that have dry skin and stiff joints; paraffin does wonders. They have a wide selection of polishes and dip powder and best of all, they have swatches for them instead of looking lost at the all the colors. The salon is very clean from their disposable files and buffers to sanitizing their tools and sweeping the floors, but be warned; they are a pet friendly salon, so all animals welcomed to the salon. Would not recommend it if you are allergic or afraid of animals. The prices are very reasonable and well worth the money. The salon is like a hidden treasure located in the left corner of Kroger. An appointment is highly recommended because they do get quite busy. Thanks, Mai, for always taking care of my nails! read more

I definitely recommend this nail salon! I called because I knew they were closing in an hour and they said no problem at all, that they would fit me in. I was more than welcomed with a southern-hospitality charm not typically exemplified at Asian nail salons. They greeted me with a drink and made me feel at home. And I should mention the quality is great! read more

Walked in today with my stepdaughter. Everyone was so nice, my tech was amazing and so gentle. Would 100% return and recommend to friends.

I tried Jenny's on the recommendation of a friend. I was not disappointed.. I tried Dip nails and love them. They are done over your own nails. Mai is meticulous in her work. They look amazing and I am very pleased. The salon is clean and very pleasant. I highly recommend this salon. read more

I got my nails done at Jenny's because I went here once before with my sister and my nails looked great. However, this time, they looked terrible! I asked for coffin and I received more of a square shape and my nails were super uneven. I was told my nails were done drying, but they got messed up as soon as I went to check out. Also, the whole process took two hours while it only takes an average of 45 minutes to an hour at other nail spas/salons. I even went and got my nails redone at a different nail spa because I was super dissatisfied with my nails that I got done at Jenny's. Overall, I will not be returning again! (My technician was super sweet though.) read more

The 3rd time I entered this establishment and was basically turned away. I totally understand being busy and even booking an appointment. But the fact that Im told on every occasion that "we are booked" and immediately turns their back away from me is not good. I was never even given a chance or asked to make an appointment. Just immediately shut down! Not a fan of that. I have spent money here in the past. And BOTH times tipped $20.00 on top of services. So the last 3 times are really disappointing. Not good business even after giving several chances to make it right. Will not be returning here and will be sure to let others know. read more

I want to say THANK YOU! I'm from Cali and I walked in 10 minutes before closing I appreciate them taking me and the only complaint that I have is that my nails need to be shaped a little bit more and pretty much that's it but I saw a big ass cock roach too! About Fell out when I saw that! Good people and I appreciate that. Friendly! read more

I wish that I could give this place zero stars! As soon as I walked in The person in the first chair on the right hand side didn't even greet me or ask what service I wanted. The first thing literally out of her mouth was "wash your hands please". Granted I completely understand the times that we are in and the fact that the check in service is on a screen. I go to wash my hands and come back, check in, and then sit down. She still doesn't ask what service I am here for. Five minutes pass and another worker asks if I have an appointment I say no. She turns to the lady in the first chair on the right hand side and her response was "you told me you had an appointment". Which was a LIE. I said You didn't even ask me anything just told me yo wash my hands as soon as I walked in the door. The woman whose nails she was doing even said yeah you didn't ask her anything. She Was very rude and I did NOT get serviced here. I walked right out after they were deemed booked (again which is understandable). Top ten would NOT recommend from this interaction alone! read more

I was extremely disappointed in the way my full set came out. I asked for almond and they were all uneven. He kept telling me that they needed to be longer and I told him I didn't want them extremely long. If he wasn't confident in the shape, I would have done something else. I even told him I wanted gel and he gave me acrylics. I had to go to another salon and have them fixed because they looked terrible. read more

I'm surprised there are no reviews for this place considering how many regulars are in this place. I walked in for a pedicure and was seated right away. The leg massage during the pedicure was thorough and relaxing. The owner was very friendly and was offering beverages to a male customer and any one else that wanted some. The whole staff is pleasant - several people said hi and asked how I was doing. I will definitely be back. read more

Really great gel manicure from Hillary! All the people are super nice and I got to watch Netflix!

I have been on several occasions. The first time I visited, I was treated with kindness and respect by Megan. The next time I came in the owner was outright rude to me and my friend. She did not greet us kindly. Annoyed, she asked, "what do you want?" We both work in the service industry and know how the job can wear on you so we stayed. She continued to be rude and then decided she didn't want to take any other clients that day. Because my first experience was good, I thought maybe the second was a fluke or an off day, so I came back to try again. I was met with the same rude, annoyed tone and stuck up attitude. I will never return to this salon, nor will I recommend it to any of my friends. Being kind is not difficult and I'd say it's imperative to treat guests with proper customer service anywhere, but especially when you are a small business. I hope Megan does well with everything and hopefully this environment is not as toxic to her as it is to guests. I am sorry to take my business elsewhere. read more

I stopped here for a quick full set because they had wonderful reviews. They were really nice and welcoming. But once the guy started doing my nails things quickly went downhill. He put the tips lower than the white part of my nail so it looked ridiculous. I made him change two. He almost cut my finger when trimming the tips but I yanked my hand away before he could clamp all the way down and draw blood. I stuck it out but then he called me picky because I kept pointing things out like a missing part of acrylic and one finger was too thin of acrylic and would have broken within an hr of leaving the salon. The nails on my left hand are shorter than those on the right. But at that point I felt I couldn't say much else because I was 'picky'. I just got home and there's not only bubbles all throughout the acrylic but because he didn't buff them correctly, there are scratches all over my nails. Definitely not worth the $35 and 1 hr it took. read more
