The Shellac manicure had my nails looking their best and lasted over 2 weeks. Lydian is extremely professional and knowledgeable. Her salon is impeccably clean and she takes the utmost care in sterilizing (Autoclave) and sanitizing everything! I'm very picky about this issue and it's rare to find a nail salon that sterilizes their tools for each client, takes the time to bleach the pedicure area, etc. I've now started IBX treatments because the nails on my hands are thin, weak, have ridges and peel. It's been a week since my first treatment, and I definitely see and feel improvements in strength, smoothness of ridges on the nail bed and nail edge, and not once have they peeled or broken. They're the prettiest my own natural nails have ever looked and I'm not embarrassed to have them seen! I highly recommend this treatment. Lydian is sweet and truly cares about her clients' health and well being.

I mostly get Shellac, but Lydian has other brands too (Gelish, OPI, and others.. don't remember specifics, though). They last the usual 2 weeks, and I usually get about 3 weeks before they start to chip. At which point, they get so grown out, that you want to update them, even if they last that long ;) Pedicures with Lydian are also awesome. She REALLY knows how to take care of your nails -cutting and shaping them perfectly. I sometimes have trouble with my big toe nails curling inwards, and she does a great job of keeping them in check. My pedicures last forever I also love how she takes her time to make sure everything is perfect. I love going to Lydian, and I look forward to keep going to her for years to come!

It was, without question, the roughest waxing experience I've ever had. During the service, Thuy the "cosmetologist" got wax all over my neck and onto my hoodie. Instead of removing the wax from my face promptly, she spent a significant amount of time trying to clean my hoodie, allowing the wax on my face to harden. When I left, I still had wax on my neck and clothing. I'm not someone who usually complains, so I went home. Once I got there, I noticed several marks on my face. Initially, I thought they were burns, so I called the salon. They apologized, told me they would issue a refund, and said a manager would call me back. That call never came. The next day, I returned because I was genuinely worried my face might scar. Instead of showing concern, the receptionist became defensive and told me, "It's not a burn because your face would be red. She ripped the skin off your face." I'm not sure how that was supposed to make the situation better. At that point, I requested a refund for the facial waxing and compensation for my damaged hoodie. They refused to do anything beyond saying they would "look into it." I also asked to see the cosmetology license. After looking up the license number myself, I found it was registered to a barber shop in Frisco, Texas, which raised additional concerns for me. Two weeks later I still have no refund, despite multiple phone calls and repeated promises that someone would "call me back urgently," I have still not received the refund I was promised.

This experience was far from that. A specific tool she used on my cuticles were basically designed to entirely cut through skin. She used the sharp edged, attachment to clean out my edges that were basically right on my cuticles. Needless to say, I left with 6 of my cuticles bleeding and wounded.
