I have had a few pedicures done at this location and they consistently come out well and last for a couple of weeks. My only complaint is that when I went with a friend of mine, she asked to have her toenails buffed, but did not want any polish. They did not tell her upfront that it would be an extra $5. Not that $5 is a ton of money, but she was surprised to learn this at the end of her pedicure. We had our pedicures start at the same time and hers was done before mine, so the time involved wasn't any longer. Also, since she did not get polish, they weren't using up any product on her. I feel as though this is a bit unreasonable and it turned my friend off that they did not make her aware of the $5 upcharge at the beginning of her session. read more

I have been going to Nailcessity since they opened and have had hundreds of manicures over the years and today was the worst ever. An older gentleman who I never have seen there did my Next Gen and it was so stressful because he kept tapping my fingers down throughout like he wanted me to relax my hands the entire time and I could see his frustration. But I could not figure out what the problem was, my hand was as relaxed as possible and he couldn't explain to me when I asked what I needed to do. I have never had a problem in over 20 years of manicures so I don't know what it was. The quality of the manicure was very below average and the drill nicked my cuticles many times so it's a bit sore now. Time to find a new place to go I think! read more

So after my last pedicure experience, I decided to call the owner and explain what happened. He listened and that was about it. Didn't really seem to care. So a couple weeks later I decide to go in for a manicure (as I was happy with my mani) with him and let him know that I'm the one that called about my horrendous pedi experience. He had nothing to say. No apology. Didn't thank me for letting him know. Didn't offer to refund my money or make it right in some other way. He just said OK. I've shared my story when we golf and apparently my experience is not unusual. It's really too bad. Overall a good pedicure experience. Was able to get in immediately and received the coconut experience pedicure. All the coconut stuff smells amazing, got the sugar scrub, massage with lotion and hot rocks, hot towels and the callus remover. Only problems were that they didn't check for the beginnings of ingrown toenails on the sides of the toes, the length of the massage and the price of the pedicure. Not sure if it was really worth $40 but I was desperate for a pedicure and my feet look sooooo much better. Went in for a pedicure and asked for their "classic" which is $27. It lasted a total of 20 min (including painting), 1 min massage per leg- feet NOT rubbed at all. NO sugar scrub nor any other sort of dead skin remover. Salon is dirty, nail polish is old and thick (stringy) when opened. Second time here, I wanted to give it another try and my first time was pretty sub-par but this time is even worse. Oh and in the time I've had to write this review she shoved my freshly painted foot into my sandal, ruining my nail polish on my pinky toe and ignored me when I told her it was ruined. Walked in to look at the menu, and spoke with Tommy who suggested I try NexGen on my natural nails. I took his recommendation and was so pleased. He assured me it would only take 30 minutes to do and he delivered a beautiful job in said time frame. WORST experience I have ever had in my entire life at a nail salon!!!!!! I really want to give this place no stars but one should get the point across. I have tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt and have gone here a couple times since it's close to me but after my last experience I will never go again! The first time I had a problem was when I was getting my eyebrows waxed. The lady does a descent job on one side but almost took off my entire eyebrow on the other side!! I actually started crying in the room after I saw what she did and my husband was in there as well and he just started busting out laughing when he saw what she did. I was humiliated and they still charged me full price!! What's worse was the lady told me that's just how my eyebrows are!!!! Jaw dropping she would say that and was not the slightest bit empathetic. I actually hated leaving my house for a couple weeks because I was so embarrassed with the way my eyebrows looked The second issue was just yesterday when I asked for a lady to put a flower on my big toes and let me tell you, it looked like my one year old scribbled on my feet. I hate complaining so I stared at me feet contemplating if I should say something but it was so bad I couldn't keep it in. When I tried to kindly asked the lady if she could fix it she looked at me like I was a complete bitch and started rambling off in Chinese. The gentlemen who owns the store came over and randomly says I need to pay for the work she did because it's not fair to her ( I never mentioned money and was always going to pay for the work that she did I just wanted it fixed!)I looked at him and said excuse me but it's not my fault she did a bad job I just want her to fix it . He goes on to tell me well now I'm taking away her time to do somebody else's feet (as if I somehow responsible for her poor work and should leave it )Can you believe that! Love Nailcessity! I've been going here for over a year now and my mother has been going for almost 2 years now. I absolutely love Kayla and how she does my gel manicure. I can pick at my cuticles and she will go in and remove all the dead skin around my fingers and also gives me a hand/arm massage. Tommy does my moms nail and she adores him. Anytime I get my toes done they are always perfect with gel. No complaints from me and they always get me in quickly when I call. They were very clean and i felt they did all the necessary precautions to keep salon sanitized and safe. I have been to this salon many times. Sometimes pedicures are ok most are lacking. When you order a spa pedicure you should get the same treatment each time. Training of staff is lacking. They all talk and laugh in Vietnamese , so we have no idea what they are saying. Very unprofessional to say the least. Eyebrow wax last two times, the girl ripped so hard she took my skin along with the hair. I looked like I was punched in my right eye for a week. Again , better training of all staff needs to be complete not only on skills but customer service as well. There are many other places that are a few miles away for better service. Today I had the manager of the store do my nails. And as he started I was happy that he was doing them because I knew they would come out good, or so I thought. He started to take my previous nails off in a different way everyone else does. After one of my hands was done, he finished that one with my other hand in the acetone. He had cut them rounded, as I had said I wanted them square. He also made them different shapes, different sizes and different lengths. My left hand had come out better than my right, but on my left hand he had managed to make my finger bleed, and it stung in the process. With the number of complaints I have seen on our community FB sites, I question how this place can have an average of 3.5 stars. I feel it's now time to post my experience on Yelp. I received a gift certificate there a couple years ago - $60. I didn't use it for like 8 months and after giving it to them, they said it had come under new ownership and they would take it for my services, but would not let me use the rest of it. Reason? The new owner was only getting reimbursed for 3 months (per their contract with the previous owner). Since the 3 months had passed, they would not honor the balance. I will not go there again. They were dishonest in their pricing. I called and asked the price of a basic mani/pedi. I was told $34.00. I had my mani then the technician showed me a list of pedicures to choose from. I choose the mani/pedi combo marked $34.00. When finished, she told me it was $44.00 and said that they just call that the combo but it's really $34.00 for just that pedicure. I just made my last visit to this business. They are overpriced, seemingly exploitative, they lack etiquette, they are rude, and the quality of service is hit or miss. I have been spending a lot of money at this place and although I have not always been happy, I kept going for proximity. The girl that did my pedicure rushed it and she did a poor job. Then they overcharged me and did not disclose it upfront. Some ladies complained about the same issue. When I realized the bill was excessive and I raised concern, a lady who by the way did not serve me this time, rudely told me I can afford it and she called out my position at work. I was very offended and I asked what my position had to do with the cost of service? She was quiet. If they ever ask you what you do for a living, respectfully decline to respond. I recall that when I visited for the first time, the lady that worked on my nails (don't recall if it's this same lady, but evidently she remembers my profession) asked where I work, what I do AND my position. I thought it was intrusive but I did not want to be rude. But there have since been red flags that I ignored until now. On one occasion, I tipped 15% on the entire bill of manicure and pedicure, and the guy who rang it and who did the manicure, asked sneakily if I want to leave a tip for the person that did the pedicure. As if 15% was not sufficient. They also have a habit of stopping by when their peer is working with a client and chatting in vernacular for an extended period of time and customer has no idea what they are saying to each other. This business will continue to loss clients if they don't take corrective actions. The gentleman that did my nails did a great job, though. Better than anyone before him. He seemed new. read more

But my mother went in for a visit and granted her toes aren't the prettiest, but she cant help it and is already very insecure about them, one of the girls asked my mom what she did for her work and my mom told her and said that she is basically on her feet 24hrs a day, the tech replied 'I sit for my job do you think my ass looks as bad as your toes" NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY BE GETTIN OUR SERVICE OR FRIENDS SEVICE. I have been here twice and both times have had negative experiences. The lady I had the first time did not listen or care about what I wanted for my pedicure and it was not very neat or clean. My most recent visit was last week with MiMi. She was nice in terms of our conversation; but not with our whole interaction. She talked to her coworker in Vietnamese the entire time she did my nails. Its rude to do that to customers because then we feel excluded and uncomfortable. She also sat on her phone on Facebook while my nails dried. This nail salon is very clean and client-centered. The staff is professional and hardworking and the prices are more than fair. I had a pedicure there and I had a very positive experience. The polish has lasted weeks with no chipping. I was a walk-in, but I had very little wait, even though the salon had a steady flow of customers. I get my nails done here quite often and they do a really great job. However, I would not recommend getting a pedicure!! I felt rushed, they couldn't do a simple small design, and they don't apply hardly any pressure for the massage portion. The reason I put two stars is because of the pedicure and lack of communication. The person who did my pedicure got mad at me because I wasn't happy with the design they started to do and because they had to redo my polish twice. My first time going in I only had a pedicure, which was awesome!! My second time I returned to try NexGen Nails which they promote a lot and is a bit more pricey than regular acrylic ($35).
