This is her regular spot and I really loved it too!…read more I love the ambiance it's not all white and bright lights like some salons, it's a lot warmer and more relaxing! The staff are all super nice and did a wonderful job (no cuts or bleeding ahah which happens sometimes during pedis but no they were perfect here!) I also liked their temporary shoes more than the rubber ones at other places and love that they give you a baggie with oil in it to put over your feet before putting shoes on to make sure that the polish doesn't get rubbed. I would wear flip flops normally but not during winter in Chicago of course, so I love that they pay extra attention and make sure your pedicure lasts :)

Liked it so much, I went last Thursday (5 days ago) and did a mani/pedi with dazzle again. I went in the evening and by the next morning my nails already started chipping. I called them to let them know and they apologized and told me to come back. They had the same nail tech redo my nails, except I opted in to pay for no chip because I didn't trust the dazzle. They wrote off the $5 up charge which was nice. The tech asked me if I do house work. It hadn't even been 24 hours yet. What does that even matter? Last time I got dazzle they lasted so long. I thought getting the no chip was the move until my nails started chipping on Monday. Less than 3 days later. Come onnnnn!!! I'm super over it, I don't have time to drive the 30 min to re do them again. I'm going on vacation with chipped nails which is annoying as heck! I'm pretty sure it's the techs technique because I've done my nails many times, at one point for a few years straight and never had this issue. Disappointed to say the least! Waste of time and money Really hard to see in the photos because I ended up doing a neutral color. Glad I did or they'd be super noticeable. SMH. My toes are great, did them pink and they are looking great 5 days later. A different tech did those and that may be why!

My pedicure ultimately felt pretty rushed which was sad as I was wanting a relaxing experience on Valentine's Day but they were quite busy. Front desk service was kind as was Helen! She was patient with me as I was indecisive on colors, they don't have a lot of options for non gel it seems which was also disappointing. Helen was very friendly! They offer refreshments but I did have to ask for it, no one offered it to me like the others. I booked a manicure and pedicure in advance, but once my pedicure was over the black woman at the front told me she'd check my ticket and never came back. She also told me she'd bring me a color book and never brought that either. Again I'm attributing this to the salon being busy but it was pretty bad service today. No one is walking around asking how things are going either. I ended up not getting the manicure that I booked because no one serviced me. The manager offered me to wait or come back with a discount which I declined. Not a great Valentine's Day experience I hope for better experiences in the future. Very clean and big space would be good for groups.

I requested a long set with pink jelly acrylic in a tapered coffin shape. We agreed to the style/ shape and got started. This is when things went downhill, she advised she didn't have the color acrylic we agreed on and I settled for a different color. Then as things progressed I noticed the shaping was incorrect and asked did she plan to taper the set. She explained it was already tapered and it would be too much time / work to reshape the acrylic according to what we agreed on. I stated I wouldn't be happy with the shape as it was boxy/square and it wasn't what we agreed on. She was unwilling to compromise on fixing the shape stating she had clients after me. I paid a deposit for 2hr time slot expected all the time to be dedicated to my service. I suggested a simpler design to make up for any time it'd take to shape but this was also dismissed. I requested a clear coat and ended the service. I've never had such an unpleasant experience getting my nails done and as new client it was not the level of service I'm used to and will not be returning In the future.
